I will be doing the weather from the home studio for a while during the COVID-19 issue; this video shows "how the sausage is made". Equipment, logistics, etc...
That was so cool - thank you for sharing your setup! I'm working from home, too, and like you, I finally have a window - it's amazing what some fresh air and natural light will do. I may never go back into the office at this rate. :)
That is a very nice tour, thank you, and hopefully you will have a great weather career! Thank you ABC 33/40 and good luck, I watch all the weather coverages that you guys do, especially 2011, I felt very bad for the people that were impacted by 4-27-11
i like when you go into the cupboard, it's like a miniature defence silo or something - from here James controls the world AND the weather mwa-ha-ha-ha! btw that chromakey green is nice, like apple green :-)
OTA is great if you’re close enough to get a decent signal. 50-60 miles away in Tuscaloosa can’t get squat worth watching from Birmingham. BTW, I live in an HOA where big outside antennas are prohibited. Almost bought a Sling antenna for the various sub-channels, but the installer told me before he started it wouldn’t work picking up Birmingham. So unless the Birmingham stations invest in translators, I’m SOL.
At least your are equipped to still go wall to wall in the event of a tornado warning until this covid 19 lets up and you can go back to 800 Concourse Parkway.
Jan Blackman governments at this time are encouraging everybody who can to work from home to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Spann already had this home studio before the pandemic started, but during threats of severe weather he works at the studio directly with his team.
1 year after this video was posted, his house gets hit by a tornado. It really saddens me.
Just run upon this, enjoyed the home office tour. Appreciate it James

Thank you so much for the tour! AND you get to work from home barefoot! Awesome!
I hope others who are having to do weather at home will do this!
This is awesome James! Thank you for showing us your office! Hope you are enjoying working from home!
It never should've been like that.
I love Chromokey. Best weatherman in the business right here.
Thank you for the tour. It was very interesting!
So cool!!! Thankful that you have these capabilities!
That's a long way from flippin the top 40 hits on WTBC 1230AM in Tuscaloosa back in the 60's/'70's. :o) Thanks James. Be well.
I love setup videos, And I love yours!
Really Cool! Thanks for sharing!

@@toxicsaiyan7109 The house I believe only had some roof damage.

Are we going to ignore the fact that James has a hidden cave in his office?

I don't live as far out as you but we also have an HOA I have my antenna in the attic.
The use of Apple products is wonderful if you have the right Mac Operating System
At least your are equipped to still go wall to wall in the event of a tornado warning until this covid 19 lets up and you can go back to 800 Concourse Parkway.
I was wondering why you were working from home and also do you have a basement for severe weather

He was in studio during the Easter Sunday event with Taylor Sorallo
LOTS of Apple products in the home studio.
Barefoot. Yep, you're in Alabama. :))
James just don't forget to remind weather forecast whiners that everyone likes to talk about the weather, but no one ever does anything about it. (:
