They have a preconceived idea of romance and there is no thought. Therefore, such relationships don't last long. Also, the points which you mentioned at the last are, apt. Sometimes I wonder how is it that we have reached our 20s without ever coming across anyone who'd talk about politics with the same enthusiasm as they talk about friendzone and dating. Most videos on the internet talking about the latter either take the funny angle or give out vague advices like "Be yourself". I hope your detailed take really is helping someone out there. It really was important to talk about how many different kinds of relationships there are. And yet nobody ever tells this to anyone and most of us spend years figuring things out, getting stuck somewhere between casual and serious when actually there's something for everyone out there, as you said. Again, it's just so surprising that it's only now that I'm hearing someone talk about life just as it is, and not about some vague concept of life which is either black or white. Thanks for talking about the right things and for being as articulate as you are. You are the friend that so many of us needed. Falling in love with your craft all over again is such an over whelming emotion. For some reason, it elates me. So, I am glad you were able to feel that passion rekindle in a sense.
Actually, I think women are as clueless about dating too bcz we don't get an instruction manual either. A lot of people end up driving their partners away bcz they probably weren't process oriented and gave up on themselves after bagging their muse. Process orientation is basically the key.

I am glad that someone is talking about real issues. And I am always glad to see that you are the one. On topic of relationships - While I agree on most of what you said, relationships work when both put enough efforts. I am hoping all the women who say that men don't communicate effectively or put enough efforts, are at least doing their own bit. Because, many a times men feel that women, although interested, do not put efforts, and wait for us to take the first step everytime. That's a major turn off.

I personally think men in India don't understand dating because it was not a thing for a very long time. We had the system of arranged marriage and how that worked was the guy meets a girl or couple of girls and then lets the parents know I like a particular girl and he gets her. That's how things worked out for a while. It's not that like in western countries if you can't get a gf you will never be married. If hey the girl you like doesn't respond or "friends zoned" you, the parents will still find someone through the arranged marriage. So it's like men feel they have options. And that's why the feeling of entitlement comes into the picture.

1. You can't force or demand friendship that is happening. Instead of forced ' I love you ' or forced dating, forced friendship as a hidden agenda exists and then the real face comes up after some time which is scary. 2. Demanding explanations of why you can't be my friend is not useful. 3. Men deciding what are the rules for friendship, men deciding that when it's convenient they want to friend, girlfriend and wife is another issue being faced. 4 . Men want a liberal girlfriend and conservative wife. 5. Men have rules different for their sisters/daughters. So we as a society are fighting triple standard 1. Men rules 2. Women rules 3. Men rules for sisters/wife/daughters/daughter-in-law.

Don't listen to Daniel, he is a really good comedian Don't make efforts, keep it organic How much conversation, what kind of conversations, it really depends on the vibe between the two, it will go good if its right or at least one of them will definitely break the silence and make the other comfortable without any efforts. Developing conversation skills is good for impressing people but why you want to be with a person who is impressed by just your conversation skills :-P . Being completely honest from day 1 either makes your relationship very strong or saves a lot of your time and energy that you are investing in if he or she is not the right person for you. Blowing some one's mind should not be the criteria to get anyone laid.Stop treating relationships as games, start if it's genuine, end it if it is really not making you happy from inside. Keep it simple. These things apply to both sides.

1. You can't force or demand friendship that is happening. Instead of forced ' I love you ' or forced dating, forced friendship as a hidden agenda exists and then the real face comes up after some time which is scary.
2. Demanding explanations of why you can't be my friend is not useful.
3. Men deciding what are the rules for friendship, men deciding that when it's convenient they want to friend, girlfriend and wife is another issue being faced.
4 . Men want a liberal girlfriend and conservative wife.
5. Men have rules different for their sisters/daughters. So we as a society are fighting triple standard

How much conversation, what kind of conversations, it really depends on the vibe between the two, it will go good if its right or at least one of them will definitely break the silence and make the other comfortable without any efforts.
Developing conversation skills is good for impressing people but why you want to be with a person who is impressed by just your conversation skills :-P .
Being completely honest from day 1 either makes your relationship very strong or saves a lot of your time and energy that you are investing in if he or she is not the right person for you.
Blowing some one's mind should not be the criteria to get anyone laid.Stop treating relationships as games, start if it's genuine, end it if it is really not making you happy from inside.
