I have to say, these feel like they're selling dart refills and they happen to come with cereal-box grade blasters as a bonus. Not a bad idea, just saying.
If I wanted cereal box grade blasters, I would buy the off brand blasters for the same price that look and feels much nicer. They offer darts that are just as good or better. The only thing Alpha Strike has going for it is the Nerf name.
It's even funnier because some of the off-brand blasters, specially the X-Shot brand ones have had higher chrono ratings for springers than some nerf blasters.
This Series is good: -Almost everyone can buy it -It's cheaper than fake Nerf but better -Cool names -Has maybe the first Nerf gun that is literally a Spas-12 (good) -It looks like Nerf guns that are much more expensive and heavy (also good) -Even Coop772 likes it So this is probably the best series for someone who just started with Nerf.

Last month, I saw a Nerf Fang set at a clothing store for 550円 ($5). This store usually put random items on sale and it wasn’t unusual for them to put toys on display on discount prices, too. I would’ve just ignored the blaster if not for the brand. I bought 2 boxes (there were only 3 left) for me & my 5yo to play with. A month later, I now have a Stryfe, Retaliator, Hammershot, Alpha Hawk, and Helios. The wife doesn’t believe they’re for our son anymore. 😆
They upgraded the tiger since this video has been released. (The tiger is the 2 shot shotgun) -It’s grip has been upgraded to be more comfortable. -The bottom barrel now ACTUALLY shoots. -The chrono velocity has been greatly improved in both barrels. -And it has a new firing method: If you hold the trigger, pull in the priming handle, and release it, it will fire both darts at once at a slightly decreased chrono. I would say its still not exactly a “competitively viable” blaster but it certainly does validate purchasing the mission ops bundle: $19.99 for an upgraded tiger, cobra, 2 stingers, 2 targets, and 25 darts? Yes please! Edit: They also gave the cobra and the fang the same grip upgrade.
My first nerf ever was a Fang I bought recently, and I was quite impressed. It stings point blank in the arm, and if you aim a little higher it goes far enough for you to play with the included targets. The plastic must only be weak by comparison, because on it's own, it's pretty badass.
As a Brazillian, I like this series a lot because EVERYTHING here is expensive and our only off-brand nerf is the X-shot, which isn't bad but it's not cheap either. Also, you're rarely gonna find most of the good blasters like the Stryfe and Rapidstrike. But if you do find them, be ready to spend R$200-R$500. (BRL) which is a lot considering we work and gain the same as you. And that's why I like the Alpha Strike series! :D

@@ryanguertin9937 YEAH I WOULD RECOMMEND THE NERF ALPHA SERIES ( TIGER DB-2) ALSO KNOWN AS THE SHOTGUN AS YOU CAN SEE IN THIS VIDEO. THIS GUN IN MY OPINION IS WONDERFUL . YOU CAN ALSO BUY NERF ALPHA STRIKE OPS MISSION WHICH INCLUDES ( 1 TIGER DB-2, 1 COBRA AND 2 STINGERS ) . PRICE OF NERF ALPHA STRIKE OPS MISSION SET IN DOLLARS IS 25 USD .
I've been considering a brace of Jolts for a while. Like a bandolier with several loaded Jolts you would shoot and then discard as you go. Stingers would be perfect for this, though just dumping them into a bag might fit them better.
In my opinion this is what “elite 2.0”should have been. When I hear “alpha strike”, I hear the “alpha” part as superior. The real life term to be an alpha is dominant, and that’s what this series should be. Blasters that look cool, shoot hard, and don’t cost to much. They should have been elite quality, but have adventure force like performance, they should have made new darts that where more accurate like nerf’s version of waffleheads. (Still compatible with elite and the other way around) and also be cheap but still worth a little. Like 20-40 bucks. They also have badass names, and badass designs. I just wish they made alpha strike the true elite 2.0/the attack on dart zone that made us return to the hobby.
It was a sample unit Hasbro sent. Either, he had the bad luck of getting a defective gun or the air restrictor in it got damaged somehow. If you buy it, it's less likely to be defective.
@Ashton Lovell tbf, I know some people like the on/off switch better than the rev trigger and the hopper makes it so you don't have to shake the quantom as much. Not to mention the smoother foregrip makes holding it feel arguably better. That with the colored plates on the side, and there is the arguement for both sides to be better even if the Nemesis still probably is.
I didn’t hear Coop point it out, but the Stinger is actually more powerful than the Jolt, which is pretty surprising for a budget line. My brother got one for Christmas, and it surprised all of us
@@IcarusActual no no no I'm talking about a shotgun that feels real Like I load 3 dart into a shell it's Shoots the darts then the shell comes out the door with a medium bottom pump and long ported barrel. I love the rapidstrike cuz it reminds me of The famas from call of duty I just love feeling like a Marine
Something I noticed when testing with the Tiger DB is that it works better with newer darts, using even slightly worn out darts would usually cause the second barrel to not work. I also noticed that priming the blaster AFTER loading seemed to also seemed to help with the issue, but it didn't work all the time. Doesn't mean the blaster is viable, but it still looks pretty cool.
I’ve noticed that the darts included in the series are a bit shorter than blue Elite darts but they work in spring or flywheel powered blasters that are mag-fed
Admittedly the Cobra is probably the best in that series, in my opinion. It’s actually pretty decent in terms of firepower, it has a larger mag size, and it can gun-twirl really easily (haha spiny gun go brrr). Also for as cheap as it may be, to me the design looks visually pleasing
The Large one is called Tiger DB-2, according to the Nerf Wiki Also normal blasters not being creaky? *picks up Longstrike and wiggles it* *Creaks like hell* (but then again 9 year old blaster)
Many blasters in general will. I've designed a few printed blasters and a Stryfe (2 year old in my case) is still pretty creaky (it's noticeable if it's quiet and you move it at all). Many printed blasters (not a thin chamshell) will be a lot more rigid in feel and sound as far as that goes.
The Cobra's are great. Light, cheap, draw strength is light too and power is way up there, comparable with all the other 5-6 shot revolvers. All things a parent would look for and all things that even younger kids would enjoy.
I’ve always loved the aesthetic of things that are essentially the bare minimum of the object they are. The color scheme gives of a kind of industrial/economy class feel, which in video games is often a makeshift or lesser kind of weapon But I am disappointed that there was no budget shotgun
The fang looks like it could be a legitimately good side arm, the blaster itself being so thin it could fit in holsters the Hammershot wouldn't be able to.

My friend got the shotgun looking thing and it works just fine I think you have a lemon
It was a sample unit Hasbro sent. Either, he had the bad luck of getting a defective gun or the air restrictor in it got damaged somehow. If you buy it, it's less likely to be defective.
Fang or Cobra, which is better?
It is very bad the best one is cobra
@@karthikyadunath554 Ok...tq for replying
Nemesis: $100
Quantum: $50
😲
Exactly, and the quantum is arguably better.
M16:$20,000
I didn’t hear Coop point it out, but the Stinger is actually more powerful than the Jolt, which is pretty surprising for a budget line. My brother got one for Christmas, and it surprised all of us
Every thing on a budget...

Im still waiting for a good pump action shotgun
InfiniteGoldEZ yr why but the roughcut?
@@IcarusActual no no no I'm talking about a shotgun that feels real Like I load 3 dart into a shell it's Shoots the darts then the shell comes out the door with a medium bottom pump and long ported barrel. I love the rapidstrike cuz it reminds me of The famas from call of duty I just love feeling like a Marine

Me: hey this is a cheap nerf gun that’s not crappy!
*looks at performance* “actually....”

But I'm 99 percent sure you kidding
You can buy them at wall art of corse but wait you're kidding, so nevermind

Admittedly the Cobra is probably the best in that series, in my opinion. It’s actually pretty decent in terms of firepower, it has a larger mag size, and it can gun-twirl really easily (haha spiny gun go brrr). Also for as cheap as it may be, to me the design looks visually pleasing
The shotgun is called “Tiger DB-2”
Ooooh Tiger.
Does it play crappy video games on an lcd screen?
Brendan Corey what?

The Large one is called Tiger DB-2, according to the Nerf Wiki
Also normal blasters not being creaky?
The color scheme gives of a kind of industrial/economy class feel, which in video games is often a makeshift or lesser kind of weapon
But I am disappointed that there was no budget shotgun
HEY COOP! Were you the sniper in Saving Private Ryan?
You know too much
I have the sniper
What you are jokking
fun fact: nerf made some blue alpha strike blasters and they're the same as yellow alpha strike but they come with less darts
The fang looks like it could be a legitimately good side arm, the blaster itself being so thin it could fit in holsters the Hammershot wouldn't be able to.
Damn it's been years since I stopped by coop. Still the man
