I love the "You sound familiar" interaction because it has several layers. First, Uther and Kel'Thuzad have the same voice actor. Second, Kel'Thuzad's voice actor voiced every necromancer unit in Warcraft 3, and third, Kel'Thuzad's voice actor ALSO voices Xul, the only other necromancer in Heroes.
WC3 necromancer was voiced by Michael Bell, but I'm pretty sure the Lich King counts as the ultimate necromancer and he was also voiced by Michael McConnohie in WotLK.
There's also the fact that Kel'thuzad was a Kirin Tor before he became a lich. Both the Kirin Tor and the Paladins were part of the Alliance and whatnot.
KT, Uther, Arthas/Lich King, and Xul share the same voice actor Michael McConnohie, who even make the voice of Deathwing to (thats why he said if he is saying all necromancers sound the same)
OK. I . WILL. this is a throw back to hearthstone isnt it :D if you match with kelthuzad as valeria valeeria:"Watch . Your . Back." Kelthuzad:"Ok. I. Will." :D
It does make sense. "The scourge are my eternal enemy. Nothing will change that" - "Ok. I will." as in she won't consider them an enemy if she becomes scourge ie. gets killed and raised. At least that's how I interpret it as someone who doesn't play HStone.
I'm guessing you're joking, but for anyone unaware: LK Arthas is voiced by KT's voice actor. I'm guessing Blizzard didn't feel like they had to add more LK lines, as they already fit, even if they are generic.
Kel'Thuzad's actor is the Lich King's voice actor....same of for uther... How can you not get the hints in his voice?its clear lol. And even if its not,you should know that Michael Mcconnohie is one of blizzard's best VA and has voices Kel'thuzad since WC3
Blizzard must hate Arthas as they gave ALL of his death knight forms the same voice and his one Human form they made out to be a hateful spoiled prince who blames others for his fall into darkness plus they had him clad in his paladin gear with Frostmourne instead of his warhammer. Is it too much to ask for a version of Human Arthas with his hammer and who behaves like he did at the start of Warcraft III, back when he was likeable?
Kel'thuzad is one of my favourite bad guy characters in Warcraft as he's shown to care about others and was a good friend to Arthas in Warcraft 3 plus Kel'thuzad's loyal to the cause of the undead and is quite powerful.
it was explained in warlock destruction quest line the shadow council members took the book of medivh from the scourge/cult of the damned it was last seen in possession of AU Gul'dan.
3:48 I find it funny that finally someone finally points out how Murky dies over and over again. I'm wondering if he's the first one to call Murky by his name.
The Great Pufferfish Sadly, after he became Lich King, I think their bromance suffered. Now its a boss and employee relationship. Before the helmet, Arthas considered him a friend. We can never go back to how they used to be.
That's too bad. I like Arthas and Kel'Thuzad being friends, it made both of them look good despite them being bad guys. Frankly, I wish Arthas had remained the snarky bad guy he was in Warcraft III, at least then, he regarded the Scrouge as his people and actually cared about them. His confrontations with Jaina and Sylvanas would've been more epic.
ryan macdonald Unfortunately by the start of Wrath all of Arthas' control was lost to Ner'Zhul, who took over him after 3 years of struggle for control. If you pay really close attention and read between the lines you'd see that it is Ner'Zhul who is the Lich King we meet. Arthas only appears after the Helm of Domintaion was separated and Frostmourne shattered.
I thought that Death Knight Arthas took out Ner'Zhul right after Arthas got rid of the part of him that was his past self /or at least banished him to a deep part of his consciousness/ and that the Lich King was Arthas-controlled by WoTL /or rather, a dark being spawned from Arthas/.
4:43 Actually, in the game, Valeera greets with the phrase "Watch... you... back". Specifically, the video shows her general greeting towards the characters from Scourge.
I feel like Kel'thuzad's dialogue with Malthael could have been way more interesting. And he could have had one with Dehaka! From other conversations you can tell that Malthael and Dehaka both contain souls within them, only Frostmourne does that not the Lich King himself. So I'm curious how KT would respond to the literal embodiment of Death(even more than the Lich King and Deathwing both claim to be) and some alien creature thats similar to the Lich Kings sword
I love the interaction between Junkrat and Kel’Thuzad. "Hmm, you… this presents an… unfortunate complication." "Rude!" Fucking hilarious. Gotta love them crazy aussies. It ain't like we already are incredibly crazy already.
WilczycaCzarownica It's more of a reference to the lore of Arthas the Lich king being friends with Jaina and Uther before he became a death knight and trying to recruit them also this came out long before Knights of the frozen throne.
What do those files at the end of the video refer to? Are those in game responses to taunts from opposing team members? Or is it responding to the voiceover? Thanks
Does Kel'thuzad just say that to all demons, or is this like a tiny, non-serious implication that the Diablo 3 Demons are connected with the WoW demons? because tbh, I could allow that.
Lol.some are funny and some are epic like "Scourge is my greatest enemy and nothing will change that" _"Ok.I . . . Will . . ." It was epic cause kt said that he will rise her as his minion and its when her mind will change about the scourge

It never hurts to check.

Not roasted.

"There's only room for ONE KT". Yyep, even Blizz was aware of that. haha
All this but they changed the voice of Anub cuz he and Abathur have the same voice actor
WC3 necromancer was voiced by Michael Bell, but I'm pretty sure the Lich King counts as the ultimate necromancer and he was also voiced by Michael McConnohie in WotLK.
*Kel'thuzad kills Tyrael* "Was that valkyr missing a face?" I died :P
So did Tyrael.
XD
Uther: "You know, you sound awfully familiar..."
Kel'thuzad: "What are you implying? That all necromancers sound alike?"
I loved that one haha, he does so many voices
There's also the fact that Kel'thuzad was a Kirin Tor before he became a lich. Both the Kirin Tor and the Paladins were part of the Alliance and whatnot.
In warcraft 3 both uther and kel'thuzad have the same voice actor
So are the Necromancers in WC III.
That also explains why Arthas used Uther's ashes to revive Kel'Thuzad
"That's just cost you a heal. Right when you need it!"
Savage.
Even more if you take into account that a paladin's healing heavily damages undead as it's made of light
“Return soon, my King.”
I loved that one
that ship between Arthas and Khel Thuzad!!
Love the comment Uther has to Kel'thuzad because they're voiced by the same person. Haha.
KT, Uther, Arthas/Lich King, and Xul share the same voice actor Michael McConnohie, who even make the voice of Deathwing to (thats why he said if he is saying all necromancers sound the same)
Yes, I'm well aware, but Uther is currently the only one who has a quote that pays homage to that fact though :p.
Human arthas is still voiced by patrick seitz since wrath, the LK is still michael
Wasn't Deathwing in Cataclysm voiced by Chris Metzen ??
Well I mean, that DOES explain why all necromancers DO sound alike!
Well...why Xul and KT sound alike at least...
There's only room for one KT around here!
ArticalWolf that's noice
in which of both of those KT characters are originally part of the Kirin Tor, which is also KT

Uther: "You know, you sound awfully familiar." Probably because both he and Kel'Thuzad are voiced by the same dude (Michael McConnohie). ^^
And made funnier because all necromancers in the Blizzardverse DO sound the same lol

I mean..he DOES voice Xul as well, and Xul is a necromancer, so.. :P
Fiend Matador Slayer of a Thousand Noobs and Arthas
What are you implying? That all necromancers sound alike?
OK. I . WILL.
this is a throw back to hearthstone isnt it :D if you match with kelthuzad as valeria
valeeria:"Watch . Your . Back."
Kelthuzad:"Ok. I. Will." :D
Only, it doesn't make sense with her dialogue this time.
The Hidden Ninja yes it is. She is threatening him again so he is trolling her
It does make sense. "The scourge are my eternal enemy. Nothing will change that" - "Ok. I will." as in she won't consider them an enemy if she becomes scourge ie. gets killed and raised. At least that's how I interpret it as someone who doesn't play HStone.
What...only generic answers from the lich king...
Blizzard needs to update him asap...
yeah....like i expected KT and LK so much, and all he gets is a generic convo that even murky-LK has...
pathetic
I'm guessing you're joking, but for anyone unaware: LK Arthas is voiced by KT's voice actor. I'm guessing Blizzard didn't feel like they had to add more LK lines, as they already fit, even if they are generic.

Ah, nostalgia. I feel the same way about that. Kel'Thuzad summed up Warcraft perfectly.

Hearthstone reference there :)
4:48 Wrong game, KT.
"The scourge is my eternal enemy, nothing will change that."
"Okay... I. Will."
That's OMINOUS as fuck bro.
Oh yeah, he still has Medivh book, doesn't he.
a good question actually, cause it was never explained in the game.
it was explained in warlock destruction quest line the shadow council members took the book of medivh from the scourge/cult of the damned it was last seen in possession of AU Gul'dan.
oh wow, that's interesting! Thanks for your comment Undead4500 I'll look into that more :D
AU Gul'dan? Australian Gul'dan? If so, that would be awsome, if only we could create a third draenor with Australian Orcs...
Alternate Universe...though it would be funny to hear an Orc talk with an Australian accent

Interesting that Kel'Thuzad is so open to Jaina joining back with Arthas.
Kel'Thuzad ships them.
That joust with Uther is hilarious on so many levels...
5:27 did Kel’thuzad just make a “no u”?
Sylvanas thought she was done suffering fools.

Kel'Thuzad and now Mal'Ganis!
Yes, KT, I am very lost
LOL, the urn!
"Get lost you can't compare with my powers" -Stukov , Holy shit, that's a direct quote from M.Bison from Street Fighter 2 ^_^

I did not need to hear Azmodan say "tooshie."
Arthas: Alright. What the Heck is this?
Kel'thuzas&Uther: Umm.... We can explain?
Jaina Dreadlord: Oh Crap.... He found it out.
Might just be me but Arthas looks like he is being played by a dwarf in his art lol
Kel'Thuzad : We finally meet...

what the hell ? i thought hey just met
hearthstone.
then Kel'Thuzad shouldn't have said "We finally meet..." if they already met
but it still wouldnt have made sense for Kel'Thuzad to say "We finally meet..." if they already met in Hearthstone

Ahaha Kaelthas quote waa awesome
So many refreance from wc3 and hearthstone xD
Specially that ok.i.will
It sounds like Uther with a slight COLD
That voice is same the warcraft 3 version?
It is. Different filters, and also 15 years difference, but it is the same voice actor.
0:36 It's that reference to Frost Lich Jaina from Hearthstone. :D
WilczycaCzarownica It's more of a reference to the lore of Arthas the Lich king being friends with Jaina and Uther before he became a death knight and trying to recruit them also this came out long before Knights of the frozen throne.
I know that. I'm played Warcract III.
Yeah right you knew that.
That's why you made that Mistake huh.
Isn't this the same voice actor as for Uther the Lightbringer?
Rasmus Hansen Bülow-Olsen and arthas
4:32 No, he's implying you two share the same voice actor.
They do?
Lol.
5:17 is it Dreadlord Jaine? Or foreshadowing for an actual Dread Lord hero?

what, none for Kel and Leoric?
who's the death knight he talks to second?
