Great list. Retro games systems like the GBC had so many fun games. A couple of my favorites have to be Shantae and Donkey Kong Country for the GBC. It is amazing those games were even possible on the system and really shows you what a difference talented and passionate game developers can make. Games like these are why I am still a retro gamer today. Subscribed!
Another fantastic video. The Gameboy Color that came with Pokemon Yellow was my first console i owned and still have it to this day. The Oracle games are absolutely top tier and are among my favorite games in my collection. I spent way too much of my time playing Pokemon Pinball and Pokemon Puzzle Challenge. While not exclusive, the Dragon Warrior games also had a tight grasp on me as a kid. Personally i have much stronger ties to my GBA as i was actually good at games by then and learned to appreciate the storying and gameplay more. Hope you do a GBA video like thisbin the future. I have alot of opinions on that topic.
Outside of Pokémon, both Zelda Oracle of Seasons and Yugioh Dark Duel Stories defined my childhood so much back then. Super Mario Bros. Deluxe was a classic too along with Super Mario Land 2 The 6 Golden Coins
I have the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and emulate a lot of GBC and GBA games on it. I have Kirby Tilt n Tumble and it works the exact same. I need to tilt my phone just like back in the day with the Game Boy. Works great.
My favorite GBC exclusive game is definitely Lufia The Legend Returns. Others I loved not mentioned included the two Heroes of Might and Magic games (I prefer the first because it was one of my go to games when in classes where my teacher didn't mind me playing games with the sound off in high school), Warlocked, Robopon Sun (It reminded me of a blend of Pokemon and Robotrek both of which I love), and Magi-nation.
Good ones I like is the Harvest Moon trilogy - Survival Kids - Link's Awakening + the Oracle games - Hamtaro Ham-Ham Unite - Mario Tennis. I also like english fan translated (english patched) Survival Kids 2 - Shin Megami Tensei Devil Children Kuro No Sho - Medarot 3 Kuwagata - Network Boukenki Bugsite Alpha. My most memorable GBC games, are pokemon(s) - Wario Land 2&3 - and DK Country 🤔😅 (Edit: Love those yellow cartridges. Wish I had a yellow GBC to match 😅 Or I wish I was smart enough to paint the shell of my old GBC lol)
Just found your video as a recommandation, and thank's for the memory. The GBC was my first console for me as a child and I play a lot of it back in early 2000. I don't play a lot of Crystal but Silver was my introduction to pkmn (with Blue). The 3g is my fav but 2g still have it's charm, I love the soundtrack and how it look ! I saw you do some Hack Rom review, I play Pkmn Crystal Clear this year and I loved it 👍. +1 subscribers 👍
Glad to hear you enjoyed the video I really appreciated the support! My brother had Silver growing up as well! Gen 3 is easily my second favorite Gen. The first 3 gens are peak Pokemon!
Have you heard of Warlocked? It’s an RTS - a real, proper little RTS on the game boy colour. It’s actually good, too. Even the music is decent. Naturally it’s very simple, but it has all the basic features you’d expect from an RTS. It’s completely charming.
Can't say I've heard of this one, ever lol. The color looks so fantastic and from what I just looked up this game looks great as well! I've not played too many games like this but I will check it out!
Magi Nation is an underrated GBC exclusive, another monster catching RPG about the most 90s kid ever, falling down a hole and ending up in another world where the people there think he's a prophecied warrior or something. The game has never been rereleased except as a GBA remake in Japan only. please check it out on an emulator
The Game Boy Color has better hardware, but the OG Game Boy has the better game collection, including Super Game Boy compatibility. And I guess the Kirby Tilt n' Tumble on Switch just uses the Joycons for tilting.
I prefer to play GB on GBC because of the better screen and the pre-programmed palettes for select games like Metroid II. But there is no Super Game Boy enhancement.
Harry Potter chamber of secrets on GBC is a hugely underrated rpg

I'm glad you enjoyed, DKC was so fun on the GBC! It almost made it on here! Thank you the sub!

I'm glad you enjoyed! It's always good to see what people are interested in. A GBA one would be cool!

Makes me want to collect some actual cartridges of my favorites from when I was a kid. Dark Duel Stories was crazy! Love Crystal.
I love dark duel stories. That game was so much fun.
Metal Gear Ghost Babel is also under rated.
Im playing playing Metal Gear and Lufia: The Legend. Returns. Fantastic games. Thx for the video

How could I have forgotten Robopon lol I enjoyed that game so much growing! Everything else you said looks really promising as well, thanks!
The road to El Dorado game is a underrated one for sure.

Just randomly got recommended this video, but thank you for this! I gave it a like

3:53 You can emulate it on your phone and use the phone's gyro

👀 ok I think I might, sounds awesome
The GBC is by far the least explored Nintendo console and games. So many good games.
GBC is the best handheld console for sure ☺️

To be fair... You can kinda just roll the GB's game library into the GBC's since it has backwards compatibility.
I prefer to play GB on GBC because of the better screen and the pre-programmed palettes for select games like Metroid II. But there is no Super Game Boy enhancement.
Switching the color schemes was a fun way to play Gb games on the Gbc. I do agree Super Gb was the best though.
Antz, Super Well Done
So glad I bought Crystal, Mario bros, and the oracle games before the eshop closed down.
Lol why? Can still get them after modding your 3ds
@RetroSmoo I'm going to be honest I'm not entirely sure, but u could try looking up some videos that show u how.
You didn’t play the pokemon trading card game. Best way to play the og card game !
You are missing the best game on the GBC. Mario Tennis
Hmm, think I might check it out!
I just got that game thru a trade form a childhood friend of mine. Best Mario tennis to date
Tilt n tumble is actually pretty cheap if you buy a japanese copy. Not like language is a barrier with this game.

Rather play on a rg353v or a rg405v emulated
Pokémon crystal on gba is better
RG556 for that sweet, sweet AMOLED.
