There was PLENTY of crazyness that afternoon that didn't make the cut. Sucker minnow in the middle (hot water) tank before we lit the fire was great. Bryon had a pole and bober in it for a while. Hope you guys enjoy the episode - I can't tell you how fun and crazy it was. We already have plans for a more substantial wind block for this coming winter. Annual event, FOR SURE.
Kinda freaky when the ice cracks my friend. As the day warmed up it cracked more and more. Might be the three cars too close together. Come on up and we'll plan an overnight on the lake.
Made a 2.5 gal batch your Munich and a 6 gal batch with rye lme's, just to see how great they are!! If I dont get a crazy brew day soon, I will do so myself!! One love guys!!
Awesome video! You guys should do a video on brewing Braggots and Gruits! I just recently brewed a gruit using ZERO hops, I used other bittering herbs like yarrow, and dandelion root! I am just interested to see what you guys would think of these ancient styles of beer, and what your opinion of a beer from the pre-hop age would be!
Just goes to show that you can make beer from anything. Don't be scared to get out there and throw a little in your brew kettle. You never know what will happen.
How do they get the beers to always turn out good? 69 minute boil. I was a little disappointed that ByronMusclesGlasses didn't tear into the tasting, but great episode!
Many cars on the ice. I've seen 2 story ice houses out there on that there ice!!! Yup CRAZY. You should hear the ice popping at night when it's real cold. It echos across the lake!!!
@docrob 10 Sorry dude. I was wrestling with a migrane that day. Glad you picked up on the "MusclesGlasses". LMAO!! I really don't know how/why that beer turned out good. We'll never be able to recreate that beer. Paul and I tried to keep up with the additions but there were so many drive by hop additions it wasn't even funny. I think the perch addition was edited out as well. One beer smelled like spaghetti while it was boiling the other like weed muck soup. Good times!!
Big deal, I brew with st cloud city water, that's basically pure sediment filtered only strait out of the Mississippi water. At least that's what it tastes like.
I know Im asking randomly but does any of you know of a tool to get back into an instagram account..? I somehow forgot the password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me!
@Tony Bowen i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and im in the hacking process now. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I really hate it when people pronounce Willamette "William-ette" or "Willa-mette"; it's pronounced Will-am-ette; anyone who's from Oregon or just lived there briefly even will know.
Only 6 minutes in and this is why BTV is so great. Wishing I was there doesn't even begin to say it. Great episode gents.
Ringing in from Shanghai, China. Thanks for the good times, this stuff is great.
We need to brew on the ice again...Make it an all nighter....Triple decoction!
+Bryon Adams Barely any ice here this year. At least in northern Michigan

What up!!! That was a fun day! Hope the gang can do it again this winter. I got something special for Sparky this year!
Sweet Subies! I have a 06 WRX myself. That and an awesome brew day made for a great video. Thanks for that.
Reminds me of "how beer saved the world", worth watching especially the bit about toxic water in England and the purifying effects of beer.
Brian Adams is too cool for the snow!
Looked like a great brew day
I enjoyed this video, thanks guys.

I live in southern California. My craziest brew days are 64 degrees. I want to brew on a frozen lake...
Brewed a Kolsch in the dead of night one time, probably - 5 degrees outside in Maine, probably the best beer i ever made.
It's been a lonely summer without you fellas broadcasting. Things gonna fire up again soon by chance ?
