Dylan Talks Tone Recieves Commision From Some Of These Links
Nice to see you always striving to make your product better! - Cheers from Canada
I recently started making my own pickups (thanks for all the excellent tips you have posted over the years, btw) and put my signature on the flatwork like this, too. I was going to recommend converting your signature to a single line vector, and using a low-power cut setting instead of engraving to speed up the process. But then I kept watching and you mentioned that same thing.
Very cool, Dylan! I'll keep you in mind for when I want to order custom flatwork in the future.
That is sooo cool!!!! The logo is definitely a nice touch!
I'm catching up today. You've been busy this week. This is great insight. Thank you.
Great vid, most people dont really understand manufacturing . Its not just putting together parts but also making the parts themselves. How to you cleanup the parts, by hand? A tumbler maybe? Also do you degauss all the component before assembly with your freshly magnetized magnet or does that even matter?
Good Evening Dylan,
I am commenting this question on your most recent video.
Could you please tell me if you have ever made a video about "steel plates" being added to the bottom of single coil pickups.
If you haven't please consider addressing this topic in the future.
Thank you very much.
Fascinating video
Can any material be used for pickup flatwork Dylan? What are you using? Solid works?
Hello Dylan have you ever used or tried to use Aluminium or Brass for flatwork?
How much hassle would it be to do batch numbers? So if you do a certain batch that turn out outstanding (as im sure theyll all be😉) theyll become idk, desirable in years to come mebbe 🤷
Example - DTT1/24. For 1st Q of 2024
Do you believe that metal baseplates make a big difference on strat single coils? Especially on the neck and middle.
I don’t “beleive”…. It’s science.
@@DylanTalksTone i would agree the science would bare it out. Im just wondering if you believe its worth the trouble?
Upping the quality of your parts ups the quality of your products. I'm looking forward to the end result.
I think you should only put your logo on your pickups… not the flatwork you sell to others. It seems it would protect the value and integrity of your pickups. Either that or develop a different SM/TM for flatwork. As someone who has purchased your pickups, I want to know that pickups with your logo are (in fact) for your pickups.
lol we wouldn’t put or logo on others … we can put THEIR logo on the ones we make for them
@@DylanTalksTone Gotcha! I got the impression from your comments that you were putting your logo on all the flatwork you were selling. You make a tremendous product with your pickups.
