I just came back from there in January and I agree the traffic is crazy it starts around 10:30am-11:00am. More people are flocking to St.Ann it’s beautiful up there.

What about Alex's? His marriage to a Jamaican citizen makes him eligible for naturalization. Jamaica allows dual citizenship. Get your hubby a Jamaican passport. Blessing!

Jamaica is crowded in most cities. The developed infrastructure has outgrown itself. So many vehicles on tiny roads. This is good and bad at the same time!

That is so true Kem... I was there for Christmas and it was miserable. I had to commute from Ocho Rios to St. Ann's Bay to see my mom and a 25 minutes drive takes 11/2 hrs. They need to do better with the roads too

Sounds super easy with the whole process of citizenship. Never been to blue mountain would love to visit there though.
Look around the amount of construction.. Drax Hall is the fastest growing community in Jamaica. Lots of houses, hotels, and commercial buildings are been built.
They will be building a new highway from mamee Bay to montego bay to bypass drax hall to runaway bay

I lived in Ochi when I repatriated back home. Traffic was terrible then, now worse because more people are buying cars. I remember the car mart on Main Street always well stocked.

Glad to see you guys enjoying Jamaica. I was born in Jamaica, but left more than 40 years ago . You guys are showing me the beauty of the island , since when I do return, it has always been to Kingston or Port Antonio. Am I imagining it, or is Alex acquiring a slight Jamaican accent ? Kem, do you speak to Ara in English and Alex in Swedish , so she becomes bilingual ? Take care and all the best to you guys.

Traffic is an understatement from couples hotel to white river is bumper to bumper it’s crazy Pls let me know how your appointment went we are going through that process a bit different for adults Best of luck guys ❤

Im Jamaican living toronto Canada.
Did citizenship by decent application for my two canadian born boys about 2yrs ago. The process was straight forward and now they also have their Jamaican passport.
The citizenship proves took about 90 days. Once we received the citizenship then we applied for the passports.

I can't answer for Jamaica, but I live in NY and the traffic has gotten crazy after COVID. I don't have the answers but there are three times more vehicles on the roads

The traffic and those hurry hurry drivers is not a recipe.
Mama please learn to swim. It’s life changing. Also learn to float because if you get tired while swimming floating is a vital skill. Also make sure Aura does too. There’s a program called ISR infant swim resource. Maybe it’s in Sweden too. It trains babies and toddlers how to flip to a float should they fall in water. If you Google it, you’ll find it. There’ll be a lot of people saying that people just throw their babies in water and let them flop around. Notten nuh go soh! Trust me. It’s an anti-drowning program that saves many lives for those who have been trained. Obviously, you will be visiting Jamaica a lot and it’s critical that she learns to swim. I was one of those Jamaicans who didn’t learn to swim till she was an adult and so I’m not very comfortable in water but I’m very competent. My kids did ISR, and they are essentially dolphins now with the skills they need to swim and to rest in their float. 😊
