Car Destruction Simulation Dev Reel #2 (BCB, Fracture Modifier)

- This is a development reel for a complex car simulation made in Blender. The model is based on the actual construction design FEM model (LS-DYNA) of that car and it is simulated with the Bullet Constraints Builder (BCB) + Fracture Modifier (FM) physics tools.
The BCB is a structural simulation software developed for building collapse simulations and this is the first time it is used to simulate a vehicle. The goal is to make vehicle simulations more realistic by using real world parameters and by simulating every piece of the car physically.
Having said that and before you ask, this is not a game. Perhaps GTA X will support this in 20 years but current hardware is not there yet, sorry. :)
Some stats for nerds:
One car - 2.4m triangles in 3k elements connected with 130k constraints
Simulation time - 4 sec. per frame (16 min. per 10 sec. simulation time; 2x cars = 2x time)
Render time - It's just OpenGL, 1 sec. per frame

It looks like a mix of soft body physics and the fracture stuff that looks like someone attempting to make BeamNG in roblox.

You generally can bring beamng to roblox with maintaining the destruction quality, they added deformable meshes. So if your really good at Luau you probably can make it, keep in mind deformation is only for Rigs at the moment. You would have to make the car into a rig

Gabtube252 the creators of Beamng says that if they implement to many particles than the game would crash on any computer and some people are having trouble spawning in 3 cars, if you have a crash like that than your pc crashes it’s just impossible

Exactly, I've seen videos of BeamNG where there were at least 20 vehicles. How about we have 1 vehicle instead but with 20 times more particle? I don't see how that's impossible to render..

however... its incredible good simulated... i think i have to check out BCB ... your FM-build is allready on my HD :D
is there documentation on BCB out there? or have i to study physics to work with BCB? it looks lil complicated :D

Thank you. Yes, the constraint data was generated by the BCB and directly fed into the FM. There is a manual and tutorials alongside with example files for the BCB available, you can find them on GitHub here:
