Another great vid, bro. You have grown a lot lately. Nice to see more outside NOLA stuff. As a food anthropologist, I love to watch and support those people who promote local cuisine. I am trying to learn to better present culture through food. I look forward to seeing more food content from you and hope to someday make great food content that you will love too. - Bear

I'm actually an anthropologist too... or at least one of my masters degrees is in anthropology. Thanks for watching!

I'm a Medical Anthropologist. I've seen a few of your videos and would love to travel more like y'all. I enjoyed your Munich Oktoberfest video and I was last there back in 2019. I'm on a mission to attempt to document as much of the unique food culture of New Orleans as I can as we are losing way too much of it way too fast!

@@NOLAGent1 That is commendable. Maybe the next time we head through Nola we can document something about the preservation and documentation side of your mission. It really fits with what we are trying to become.

@@thegallivanthropologists Sounds great! We have just been losing way too many of our traditional food places. We have also been losing a lot of population as Louisiana has more people leaving than moving in. At this point we might have more Cajuns in Texas than in Louisiana.

A bunch of non-locals kept telling me about it so the secret has been leaked... I was keeping it secret for a long while til so many others told me about it too.

I like gulf trigger fish as opposed to other shallow water live caught fish options & refuse to eat any Asian imports when dining on the gulf or inland for that matter!

Sadly too many places advertise Swai as "white fish" so you always have to ask. Plenty of imported crawfish and shrimp too.
