This will make keeping my OG discs in shape and their cases way easier! Thanks!
You fucked up the joke, it’s cases way cleaner.
"In this economy?!" is the ultimate joke in the category i like to call "Haha-Hurting".
I had a neighbor that put Megaman legends 2 on a disc for me, I leaned like 6 years ago that it was a game never made for the Dreamcast lol
It never was, but a boy can bleem.
Megaman legends bump!!!
GDEMU mod will make your Dreamcast quite because you remove the disc drive and replace it with a SD card reader
you give me hella homie vibes. like if my friend was well informed on the what nots of retro things and just gave me a breakdown on what my dumb ass needs to do. appreciate it my dude, subbed!
Very reasonable solutions for expensive discs
This video is worth the comment. I found the comedic value in it 😆
works like a charm! Thanks dude
Great personality on this guy, I love it.
He gay though 😅
@@Tangaguanga
Bruh, who cares if he is or not? lol
@@OU7C4ST man shut up 🙄
nah he annoying af, he seems like one of these manchild sonic fans, he literally has a sonic boob mousepad
Lol love the video bro very nice n' easy! You got a new sub
Thanks for the great tutorial! I am now playing Crazy Taxi and having a great time! 😎
😂😂😂The Rouge the bat mouse pad had me laughing
Great video man! You are genuinely funny and helpful! Thank you!
Loved your video, subscribed right away. Bit of warning though, AVG said imageburn was infected from the first source. I chose the imageburn source and it was clean. Just an FYI for anyone out there, not Austin's fault, Imageburns' fault.
Great informative video, thank you.
Great vid. Educational and entertaining.
Great video , helpful , funny and entertaining GG friend 👏🏻
My hero thank you for the educational video
SOMEWONE PLEAS HELP i am trying to put the file in img burn but it dont shows up ween I select it So whatever I try to do I only see ‘pleas select a file’ the file had like a picture of img burn (like yours) and it can fit om the game So im ready not Sure why
Great and funny way to show how to burn Dreamcast games, but you forgot to mention one thing: most CD-R are 80 minutes or 700 Mb, the GD-R could hold up to more than a 1Gb of data, this means that games that are over 1 Gb (mostly Sega´s) are going to be overburned and thus are going to have sound crunch and cripsy FMVs. Its important to say this.
I really enjoyed your humor, and your tutorial was very easy to understand, even for a French person like me who struggles with subtitle translators lol.
But I was mainly snooping around here to see if you’ve ever managed to mod a game like Sonic Adventure 2?
I can't find any tool that gives me access to the inside of the disc... it's frustrating, I really want to figure it out...
I'd like to import a mod (which I've already managed to do on most other versions of the game).
Pizza Boy teaches everyone on how to burn a DC disc!
just got a dreamcast today after wanting one for years, thanks a ton for making a super simple guide on how to not break the bank for getting games! ...that said, will any old CD drive do? or do i need a specific type of drive to do so?
Any old CD drive should get the job done, as long as you can open and close it and it can recognize that there's a disk in there
Lifesaver, thanks dude. Why can't we have both!? Lol.
Thank you for the easy tutorial
Just found mine in an old box at my parents house, time for…. PIRACY!!! (Joking)
I clicked on the video because video thumbnail said "SUCKA" which stands for some funny russian word
Sick Sonichu poster, bruh!
What are you talking about?
@@AustinTheKatthe electric hedgehog pokemon, duh?
unironically a chad
Ur very funny dude and nice content that u got going on here for ur self very nice
Thanks for the video bro give up with the second hand game market so stupidly expensive
Really weird. This worked fine for the first two dreamcast games I burned and now it won't work at all. Not sure if it's my burner or the rom files.
Has anyone ever had issues burning to 700MB discs? Specifically big games like Shenmue?
heyya just asking, would "CLASS 1 laser product" mean the same thing? as 1
There are more 0 and 1's than 2's.
Does anyone know why my burned CDs don't have sound, i burnt crazy taxi 1 and 2 and absolutely no sound
I had a copy of omikron the nomad soul for Sega dreamcast, but I got rid of it. A shame to. My favorite game.
Damn i just put my dreamcast in storage i gotta go check if it will play burnt games
Thanx, you should do Dreamcast mods next
GDIs are too large for CDs. CDIs are the same roms, but the size got reduced by compressing, so it can fit on a CD
What do you suggest as an alternative to CDIs?
@@shammahikoro8475 Nothing. If you want to burn the game you have to use cdi
@@shammahikoro8475you could always get a gdemu? I think that's what they're called. You'd have to remove the laser from your Dreamcast to put it in but you can stick GDIs onto a USB stick(or maybe SD card?) and put that in your gdemu and run your games from there. Look it up, it's super cool! I'm just afraid of hard modding but it can be done!
I have a japanese model, there's no number next to "NTSC J". Will it still work ?
I assume so
Update me and tell if me if works, got the same one
@@Chaos_Collector yep, sure does!
@@SHANDROKK Awesome!! Thanks for replying! Can’t wait to finally play Sonic Adventure 2 for under $70 :D
link to mousepad
Most games for the console is around 1 GB, but most CD are up to 700 mb. Can I still burn them?
You have to find the cdi converted roms and burn those. Modders just compressed the files so they can fit in cdis.
yo wtf was that mouse pad at 1:17
Comment bait
And you fell for it 🎉
@@AustinTheKat coomer bait???
Can i load Genesis games on the cd
4:30 sus mouse pad
Dreamcast games came on GD-ROMs. Wouldn't some games be impossible to burn because they take up too much storage?
Modders compressed the files enough so they would fit in cdi roms.
Not true. Only the early VA2 model releases can also play dreamcast games. Thankfully, I have one of the early ones :)

Gdi for emulation
He only 99% right be he left something out use 2x not 1X when burning 2x is the legit because I had to throw away one CD after failing
thx breh
Does the dreamcast need to be modded
No, that's what makes this all so easy
you seem like a cool person
My Dreamcast does not have any number plz help
Nothin I can really tell you other than try burning a disc and see if it works
It's probably a Japanese Dreamcast
you figure that out .GDI yet?
cdi only works
Nice mousepad
Genuinely surprised nobody else has made a comment about it
Are 700mb cd-r discs big enough for Dreamcast games?
I think that probably depends on how big the ROM file is
Technically no. As @megamanmarcheck pointed out the original discs are GD-ROMS with a 1 GB capacity. A GDI is the full image of the original. The only way you'll be able to use this image again on a DC is to put it again onto a GD-ROM or modify the DC to use the GD drive emulator boards and place the GDI on a SD card. Burning a native GD ROM requires discs that don't exist any more and a specialized burner that very few people have from the Katana development machines. The way a game from a GD ROM fits onto a 700 MB disc is by editing the image. This is what a CDI contains, a scaled down version of the original. To achieve this size reduction the editor may remove some animations, resample the audio or the video sequences, etc. Compressing data from GDI to CDI does not work because the DC has no decompression mechanism at that stage.
One last thing. Using CD-R discs in the DC causes the laser unit to work differently than when it is reading a native GD ROM. I have no evidence of this but word on the street for many years is that it can accelerate the failure of the laser unit. Which is very unfortunate because no OEM replacements exist. The only way to replace one is to cannibalize it from another unit. So enjoy, but tread with caution. In the end the laser unit may wear out regardless so considering one of the emulator boards may be a good investment for when it does go. Long live the DC!
Hiya, I saw your external CDR burns at 1x 😮 can you share a link to it?
No idea about what model or anything it is, I just picked it up from a Walmart one day
Does this work on japanese dreamcast?
Probably?
12 discs in, does not work
Did you make sure you're using the right kinda discs? CD- R, not DVD-R...I've lost a lotta discs myself with that mistake 😅
Also writing it on a slow speed
@@AustinTheKat yes to both of those things
@@Memenerdzero Did you check the number on your Dreamcast to make sure that it would work?
@@AustinTheKat yep I checked that it's a pal 1
@@Memenerdzero Weird, I don't understand why it's no working then...Plugins in the right place? Are you using a .GDI or .CDI ROM?
I neeeed to burn sa2
420th like
Lol u a life safer
The revision 2s not working is a myth. Revision type does not matter, the date does. Early rev 2s used the rev 1 bios. For example, I use a Rev 2 manufactured in Sept. 2000. The bios change didn’t come until Nov ( possibly late Oct but sources vary. The safe bet is Sept. 2000 or older.
