All jigsaws are good for practising for Worlds regardless of the brand. You achieved good times for all of them. 1190 participants! My that is a lot. Logistical nightmare for Alonso to sort! No doubt a good number of us will be glued to our computer screens watching all the action. I certainly will be. Look forward to seeing more practise runs if you have time to do the editing etc.
I agree with you! It's good to practice on various images and cuts! 🤩 And thank you! 🤗 Oh yeah, that's twice as many as last year, which is absolutely insane!! 🤯 I think the live stream is gonna be even more intense than last year, having people finishing seconds apart!! 😅 Nothing to worry - there will be more practice runs to come, I've got a good number of 500 piece puzzles to go through still! 😁🙌🏻
Hahaha yeah I get a few comments that it's nerve-wracking to watch the pick up challenges 😂 I absolutely love doing it, especially if I'd already taken pictures of them 🤣
Janette, I will be cheering for you and Donnalouise at Worlds in Spain. I did send you a dm and I think you can still contact the USA jigsaw speed puzzle association if you needed anything from the states. It won’t hurt to try.
I'm very surprised about the Educa puzzle not sticking together since it's such a well-known brand. Loving that Morocco Hotel even more now that I've seen all the details on it. Good job with the times!
Educa is known for their non-interlock pieces, which are the reason that the puzzle doesn't stay together when picked up 😅 It was such a pleasure to work on the Morocco Hotel, the time just flew! 😍 Thank you! 🤗
I love your work space. What size is your table? Having sufficient workspace must be very helpful. You always choose interesting puzzles. I really like The Morocco Hotel, and the marbles. Lastly, the next time I buy a puzzle, I will remember your comment about the image vs the cut. I try to avoid random cut puzzles, but my problem may just be poor image choice. Thanks for the advice.
Thank you! 🤗 It's 96x86 cm when extended (or 96x50 cm when folded). Sufficient workspace definitely helps and it's also very important to have a good daylight! 😊 I liked the puzzles too! I'm usually not picky when it comes to 500 piece puzzles, because I like to train with the images I don't necessarily like, but I really liked all the puzzles in this round! 😍 I think the image makes a big difference in how difficult the puzzle would be, but the cut obviously helps. Bad image with a good cut is still doable, where a bad image with a bad cut isn't 😅
Yeah I get what you're saying, but I've only really been doing their 500 piece puzzles and found them frustrating 😅 This is the first Educa puzzle in the last 2 years that didn't drive me mad 😜 I still don't think I'd go beyond 1k though 🙈
Are you sure you want to go to Ravensburger Spieleland? The last time I went with my kids, there was not much for the adults. The Shop at the entrance is not that big. You might prefer Legoland.
Thank you for that info! Donnalouise did say that it looked more childish, but I guess we didn't really know what to expect. We will have to change the plans accordingly! Thank you 😁👌🏻
A quick note to let the puzzling community know to not purchase from "Odd Pieces" - yes there is more to the story but I'm not going to hijack this channel to explain.
@@janetteandherpuzzles they pulled a fast one in most recent order, and simply do not care to even try to make it right. Longer story, but I will not buy from them again.
True! 😊 I put two of them down sideways though, which I think made it worse 😅 But yeah, technically none of the puzzles passed the pick up challenge this time 😂😜
I think you have the skills to do well at worlds. I hope you have a great time most of all and are able to bring back some super cute puzzles!
Thank you so much for believing in me! 🤗 I am sure I'll have a blast and there will be many, many puzzles coming back with me 😅🙈

This sounds like a great trip. Enjoy your travels.
Thank you so much! 🤗
Woohoo, nice times! The intro talking about preparing for Worlds got me so excited 🥳🥳
Thank you! 🤗 Yeah I know, I'm getting excited too!! 49 days to go!!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Very interesting puzzles for practice. Very good times too! I am looking to watch more of your practice 😊
Thank you! 🤗 There will be a lot more of it!! The WJPC is only 50 days away!! 🤯
It freaks my husband out every time I try picking up a puzzle 🤣
Hahaha yeah I get a few comments that it's nerve-wracking to watch the pick up challenges 😂 I absolutely love doing it, especially if I'd already taken pictures of them 🤣
Great times, Janette !!! 👏👏👏
Thank you! 🤗

Thank you Laura! 🥰 Oh sorry, I have not been checking my IG inbox 😅🙈 I'll reply to you now. Definitely worth a try 😊

Hi Janette, your puzzle collection is amazing. Have you ever tried a 547-piece Hexagon shaped puzzle 'Dreamscape Retreat' by ZaraCraft ?
Thank you! 🤗 No I haven't tried that puzzle. I tried Googling it but with no luck. Do you maybe have a link to it?
I so sorry I must of missed about page issue glad things are back to normal...I agree with you don't know why some steal stuff from others etc...
Don't worry about it! It has been taken care of 😁 But thank you! 🤗

@@janetteandherpuzzles Thank you, thank you, thank you! 🥰
I´ve said it before...EDUCA puzzles are fine as long as you stick to up to 1,000 and 1,500 piece puzzles.

Half of the pickup challenge is putting it back down 😊💙🧩

Educa cut is not that much bad it’s different and more simple but they come together without misfit and the quality is better than art puzzle
It's not a bad cut and it doesn't have misfits, but I do like the variety of shapes 😅
