Glad you caught on in the end, it’s says hf on the keys “holding function” also the beveling as you call it is to prevent screws from striping out, so you are not meant to feel it when just screwing. As for the colors the Allen and the Torx are taken from two different sets, and made in to a “Bicycle set” hence the overlapping colors. Apart from the twin purple ones, but no one is going to mistake those since they are so different in size. But congrats on the keys you are going to be happy with them.
Wera makes great quality tools, I have color coded set of this keys for over 7 years and they are more durable than the budget ones. The hex-plus is better than the classic versions , you can apply more torque and not damaging the screw. For professional use, yes they worth the money.
nice glad to hear that they are lasting for you! i did use them today again, and you're right about the torque, it seems like you can torque harder! cheers
@@garysprojects Behind every good tool is some research and innovation, you have to pay for it. Knipex is another example of expensive tools but they are more durable and ergonomic. But they never let you down.
I use Wera Joker ratchet spanners and would recommend on that end if anyones riding fixed or still using non QR/bolt axles. Not cheap but they have a few features that beat regular spanners/wrenches, even with the gimmicky holding function or plate
I have had the colour hex plus keys for a couple of years now. Definitly strips fewer bolts then the standard cheap allen sets. U should also look at the tool check plus Wera makes, got almost everything u need for roadside repairs. I think they have a special bicycle model aswell with tire lifters.
Hi Gary ive got the wera and i havent lost any yet because i payed top dollar for Them lol , ive got the allen key set with all different colours , they are very precise sometimes they have trouble fitting into really rusty bolts from old bikes ,but for newer bikes they are super smooth and the bolt catcher does help -
My screwdrivers are wera and I love them. They’re better than the cheap stuff at the hardware store, but cheaper than the tool truck stuff I love them. The grips are the best of any screwdrivers I’ve used.
I have hot a couple of sets like these I got one sent to me with a ebike purchase infact I've had a few sets sent to me with all the ebikes ice bought because the ebikes don't get sent fully assembled but only one set with the rounded of ball at the end 😃😊
Had a set of these for more than 2 years, they get a lot of use and since I switched to them I have had no problems, no rounding of bolts etc.
Wow that’s awesome !! Good to know cheers for the info 🙏😊

Have them for my bike shop and have been a life saver, great tools
Hell ya , so handy, with some nice features I dig em
Noice. I think they're called ball ends. I need hex keys that come when I call 'em, especially the fiver.
Haha yes thats the name I kept saying ball bearing for some reason 😂
Sweet video Gary! 🤘
Thank you !! 💕🙏
Always wondered about these. Thanks for your thoughts mate. They look bling nonetheless
No worries, glad you found it helpful! Cheers

Nice !! That’s awesome least you have one set with the ball at the end !
If you can't justify the price, harbor freight sells a color coded hex set for $20 and are allegedly very good.
Ayyy thx for the heads up 👍
It would be even cooler if they had Bluetooth.
Lol true
Harder metal+perfect machining and tolerances!
Oooo nice!! Thx for sharing
