I had the privilege of hiking this trail last weekend. No water flowing in the lower part of the trail, but there was plenty later on and a nice cascade at the falls. Yes, lots of people, but I can't complain, I was one of the multitude enjoying this lovely spot. Part of the fun was seeing the joyful expressions on other hikers' faces.

Thanks for uploading this content. I'm gonna hike the Eaton Canyon Trail next weekend. I actually used your reviews when i did the Mt. Wilson and Baily Canyon Trails in the past.

Just hiked it today definitely a fun hike crossing raging waist deep water and almost getting washed away on the last 3 river crossings

I grew up about a mile from there, back in the 60's it was technically illegal to hike past the bridge to the falls but nobody really cared. the pool at the 1st falls was actually deep enough to swim in. There were stairs that would take you to the top and then several other waterfalls with great pools for skinny dipping. Those falls are now forbidden by law because of rescues involving injury and even death

      When were the stairs removed?

I wish I had watched this before I hiked it. There were zero trail markers and I went the wrong way (right).

just went to eaton canyon 5/2023, with the recent rains the hike is nothing like the video. there are at least 6 water crossings and they can be a little dangerous. the rocks are slippery and the water is moving fast, you will get wet. i did see people get hurt. that being said, for the experience hiker it shouldn't be a problem. for the casual hiker, me, it's a challenge. use your best judgement, no shame in turning back at any point

This year is record breaking snow and rain - every stream in SoCal will be flowing more than usual. In a few weeks things should be back to normal conditions, which you see here. The conditions now are not normal.

Does anyone notice cats near this parking lot? I recieved foster kittens today found in Pasadena at a hiking trail. Trying to solve where this could have been so I can find the mom.

Better schedule a week ahead seeing how they only take online reservations with capacity.

      Put Eaton Canyon Nature Center.
It will take you to the main parking lot and there is a small building open to public with small exhibits.

Hey, this might be a dumb question, but is it free to hike there? Never hiked in my life.
There a fee I gotta pay?

Easy hike. Don't forget one thing. The water falls is dried up late summer due to the drought (global warming).

Theres actually a second, bigger water fall above the first waterfall , just a few miles away. However , the only thing is that to get there is by climbing a mountain around the first waterfall to get there, which is dangerous but is possible if taken slow and steady.
