@@acafacabrate There is a bug with latest update which broke the game for tons of people.EA even had post that they are aware of the problem and hopefully they gonna fix it because the game is unplayable now.

I agree. I understand and some people complain about the missions not being in SP, but it's because it'd probably mess with the structure they have with progression in SP. The tires would be nice though
Me specifically I don’t play online. I bought the speed pass thinking that the tires would be in single player. Well, $10 for the speed pass and $10 for online just to play with some tires.
are any of the paid dlc add ons for story mode?? The info never tells you if anything is in story mode as well, and I don’t want to buy dlc and later find out is not even available in single player because I am not interested in online n only play story mode

Interesting decision by the developers to not include drift pro tires in single player. I don’t think it would impact anything in terms of leaderboard in single player mode.

one thing i feel like i should point out is that the drifting is now heavily skill based. to the point where i really dont think there will be a specific set of meta cars. saw a bugatti get 600k on takahashi special which is absolutely wild in my opinion. i could be proven wrong later down the line, this is still pretty new, but i just like that its more personal skill based now. much love pants 🤙

I've hit 350k drifting is similar to what pants is saying but I figured out if you hold brake as you transition in s and s+ you keep you points gaining hit 25k points with 3x combo

I’ve been playing this game off and on since the volume 3 update came out and now with volume 7 I’ve been playing basically every single day.
I’ll admit that I was very wrong about this game. The cartoony art style made me shy away instead of actually giving it a chance. Now I like it as much as I like heat.

They should add an option to change how burst nitrous works. Getting that little nitrous off in a drift can help but if you press it after getting done with a skid then you get shot in whatever direction you're facing. It'd be cool if they added like a double press or even triple press so you don't accidentally use the burst and use normal instead.
You can counter it as soon as you hit the nitros, if your going right, without left right real quick. You will see a weird difference. Practice and mess around with it til you get it to where you like. Very useful.
(Not an angry rant) The thing is there is no longer a dedicated drift meta, dabuster and a few others stayed up for 12 hours and they could put up the same crazy scores with any car, the meta has now become what YOU prefer which is great,

Since its mostly handling-based, it also means that whats good for someone else might not necessarily be good for you. The best drift car is the one that feels best to drift with for you & thats awesome.
NFS made a huge comeback , I’m having so much fun with the game . Haven’t been this addicted

nah the huracan definitely is op. i got my s14 turn it the same class and its not as good as the huracan, also s14 easily spin out if you put too much power and angle. so i turn it down to a+ and it feels so much better
180sx is amazing A+ drift car
The suspension plays a role helps make it more sliding or grippy
I've been in love with the Huayra BC with drift pro tires since the update has dropped. Just like the 350Z, it is really darty and responsive, but it's also pure molten butter.
His hypercar characteristics lets it have one unique drift style per gear, I never go above 5th tho, but I comfortably use 1st and 2nd for streets and sharp corners, and 3rd and 4th, or 5th for high speed open ones. It's also great to escape the police, even at level 5, surprisingly. It runs sideways but she's fast af, and with a little bit of direction correction with the NOS boost, you can troll cops all day long. It's hella fun to escape cops with this thing, you're all over the place while them popos struggle to make them sharp turns you can take with ease!
Hidden gems for me so far have been the Land Rover Defender in B class and the Porsche 911 GTS Cabirolet in S Class. Land Rover is so easy to slide with its weight, and the Porsche is effortless.
I love how Theo doesn't like that Lamborghini has modern RWD cars, even though that's how they started off the supercar market.
I have no hate on the AWD Lambos, I just didn't realize he wasn't aware that Lamborghini brought back RWD with the Gallardo Balboni after the AWD Murcielago
He's not very good with cars. It's just his market. He's quite clueless, like when he's calling an RWD car "more rear-biased" as opposed to a Huracán. Or stating that the Mustang has a rear V8.
I've been messing arounds with a RSR build and it seems to have some potential
My favourite drift car prior to the update was a S class '09 Subaru STI it's all wheel drift was super smooth and after the update it's still my favourite drift car. It gives off Evo9 drift style handling that was in Heat.
Definitely excited to try these cars!
I’ve really enjoyed the NSX for the new drift setups. That’s what I’ve been using and what feels best to me so far.

i also tried all rental cars and got some wins with them. what i love about the new drifting ( at least for now) you can drive what ever you want. high mulitiplier and long chains is all that matters - so skill > car - this just made online so much more fun again
I just got back into the game yesterday. The 24 dark horse has been the best I’ve used for pro drifting.
This Drift mode is basically AWD in every car. basically the same thing Rockstar did in gta5on drift mode. turn every car in AWD and called "Drift Mode"
And gta 5 did it better 20 years ago 😂
I know there isn’t a huge difference in cars you use but there is some difference and awd is better than rwd in most cases because less likely to spin out especially in s and s+ class and a few cars you should check out that i haven’t ever lost in is the bmw M3 e30 for B class, the R32 skyline for A class, the R34 skyline in A+ class, the maybach in S class with the 599 bhp 2.0l I4 hybrid with 1313hp and 1789 nm of torque, I’ve yet to try the S+ car I’ve built since it isn’t in the pvp playlist right now it seems but I have the huracan performante in S+ and I’ve heard the Bugatti Chiron sport is good too.
try the dodge hellcat as well, it slides so well, previously it was the car I used for drifting originally as it maintained a really good angle at least for me
I guess Theo's best drift car is the Huracan!

I wish that, since the tires change the handling system and partially disable tuning, they changed the burst nitrous to a torque increase instead of a directional momentum boost

Are only cars that have a natural drift style out of the shop able to equip the drift tires? I bought the Honda civic A class because I was just goofing around and I didn’t realize until after but I couldn’t equip the pro drift tires.

The hellcat charger and RX8 are pretty good
So there's a trick to maintaining drifts now and once you get it down pack your car won't really matter I haven't tried fwd but so far technique currently matters more than the car

The little that I played I noticed the drifting need something like arms so the wheels can turn more like the drift mod and I don't like how I can't use it in single player all my cars are in single player

I put the new drift tires on a crown Vic drift built i already had which to be fair probably has too much horsepower for how slidey it is now but I was getting walked every single time by the Rydell rides huracans😂 also when I used it I couldn’t believe how controllable it was, I still have not found a car that slides that well

Kinda surprised to see so many people bad at drifting too. Idk how you can be bad at it with those tires. I've won almost every even i've done with the rentals, the bmw is a little rough though. I've only had a few runs where I actually have some people getting close to me or actually beating me, most of the time it's like a 50k score (or more) difference.

AWD "drift" is no drifting rather power sliding
Thing with Huracan is, since heat, ghost replaced the LP610 which is all wheel drive to LP550 just like Aventador LP700 was replaced with Aventador S 🥲

Granted, Ive always loved Unbound & the new things its tried, but always thought it missed some stuff from previous NFS (which is also like all games with sequels & not just racing ones). So these updates that bring back the old things we loved have been really great. While mechanically I didnt have problems with Unbound's drifting (how drift races are done is another story), the pro drift tires & mechanics are great too. And I especially love that now theres a bunch of people playing these.
Honestly never liked & getting rly sick of people just spamming S+ races that are mostly just high speed dodge 'ems, in mostly a handful of meta cars that are a whole class above the rest. With these new drift pro playlists in place that people seem to love, finally, no more grifters since grifters can't drift lol.
Only reason y I stopped was because i like to drift and lt sucked before.. I been only this game past few days now it’s dope
