And even when the support does really well in a game: when they protected, defended, pealed, healed, they still don't get a 'good job' from anyone on the team. But if any other role does something like get a double kill, everyone starts praising them with 'nice job'. Support, the unsung Hero.
Take it from a support main YOU CAN NEVER PLAY SUPPORT WELL! I've had mids tell me to stay out of their lane then blame when they're ganked. I've had my adc lose the early by fighting into a wave and blame the entire thing on me. I've given my life to save teammates and get reported for feeding.
as a mid main, i apologize for toxic mid players. i don’t mind you sticking around as long as you’re harassing their mid, or making sure we get the mid camps and maybe look for invades. don’t just sit in lane for the farm and not do anything. those supports bug the ever living hell out of me
@@AndrewH1994 as a fellow mid main i h Abe to agree with you. The supports that rotate to mid and juat don't leave or really do anything after rotating just piss me off. I have loss level advantages do to supports that don't leave mid and taking exp form minion waves why the enemy mage is getting all the exp
I hope you mean that with nuance and not as a blanket statement. How about if your support is at a level deficit? In your lane they can leech a little farm safely but if they pressure from behind they will likely end up getting both of you killed. Supports have a global presence and if they need a little xp from mid to be in the position to save you or another teammate later then that's not an issue.
Nah bro getting told to leave, sit or anything else then getting pinged and yelled at when im not thete to helps my favorite thing. "You told me to leave your lane. Why are you so mad that im not there?" There never have an answer it just makes them angrier
i once went as an all out damage from support cuz team was blaming me for picking baron support and also they were losing bad...so in the end i carried these bots to a win
As a support main, this hit the feels... I'm overly protective of my teammates/jungle objectives and would sacrifice everything to keep my team alive. I only hope my teammates understand how crucial every decision made impacts our match. I prioritize busted team beneficial aura items and relic dagger to keep spamming my relics. My main supports are Ganesha, Yemoja, and Geb. I play Ganesha the most because I enjoy BESTOWING KILLS. Seeing a teammate get a Penta kill because of your teamwork makes me feel like I got a penta kill, too. Is it bad that I'm one of those people who are usually last to select a god? I do so to select gods that can synergize with the teams composition (most likely playing as support) and yet I get flamed for taking so long when I did my best as a support. Who knows, maybe that person(s) may be having a bad day. 🤷🏻 Anyways, enough if my bantering. If you've made it this far, have a wonderful rest of your day! SMILE! 😁
As a support main, truer words have never been spoken! Support is very underrated and I get very protective of my team mates (especially my little ADC duo lane buddy). We're lovers not fighters over all but we will do what we must to ensure our team mates are safe and well. Whether that's from their opponents, towers/objectives and themselves. My Support mains are Sylv, Geb, Atlas and Ares.
Dont worry my friend, i gladly lock in fafnir when by team goes douple adc so if the off role are screwed early game we can still crash objectives late.
When I play with my friends I also take long or let them pick first because in 95% of cases all of them want to take a mage or adc and nobody is willing to pick supportive characters. And if they do, I sometimes feel like I should have done because I try to set up for us and try to tell them before hand while they often just charge in and nobody was aware to follow up. The struggle of having a team were all of us share the same braincell when it comes to strategy xD But we are all pretty new to smite and are still transitioning into pvp instead of AI games.
As a Support main I thank you for this video. It really bums me out how we generally don’t get any recognition for all the abuse we go through to protect our team.
I think the only 2 that are arguable in order are 1 and 2 I personally think junglers harder but it is definitely a hard choice as they're difficult for different reasons and both are obviously really high skill floor AND skill cap
i'd say this is for most of them.. it's the same with ADC and Solo.. for me Solo is harder than ADC is mainly because i'm mechanically better with an ADC than i am with a Warrior.. now in my case this means that certain warriors just don't fit my playstyle and thus are very hard for me to grasp. Odin being a good example of this.. though he is really strong when i play him it's like letting a toddler drive a ferrari.. it goes very wrong.. (i'm better off playing someone like Bellona, Mulan or for a guardian pick like Sylvanus) and the for junglers and guardians for me the Guardian is harder because as a jungler i at least have somewhat of a path to follow and instead of having to react when something happens only i can also act when i see an opening. when i play Guardian it just feels like i'm running around like a headless chicken unless i have a full premade team in wich the fact that some of them are tank mains helps in a way where they can kind of guide me and i know their playstyle so it's easier for me to predict what they will do as opposed to a random that i can't make heads or tails of. Jungle is a bit more obvious to me (though i do still get those ragers from time to time that are like UGH JUNGLE WHERE ARE YOU.. wich are usually the ADC when i have literally just ganked the solo lane because the enemy jungler is there. but no our ADC and sometimes even our Guardian wich usually only happens when it's one of those huh? well okay picks like Fenrir support. that just cause me to go: yeah sure let me just turn on my hacks and teleport over to you your majesty)
@@arliss35 lots of support are easy to start with but hard to master. Ymir & Ares are not mechanically hard gods but the difference between someone who's good witht the wall/chain vs someone who isn't is huge AF.
@@Boby9333 mastering a wall or chain comes with just time, no practicing. any jungle main will know you can make crazy out plays with an assasin or some specific off roles by mastering a god and building for special occasions while supports can almost always build thebes, warflag/sentinel for aggro or passive play, and then the standard for the meta with 1-2 item changes for a heavy physical or magical team.
As a support main, something about the mid lane is so hard to get a handle on. I've tried mid two or three times during each season and still wind up whiffing the game.
Definitely top 2 hardest position. Mid gets ganked the most and needs the best positioning to be effective. Id say just play a lot of Mid , find a mage u love, and watch some mid guides and eventually it’ll come to you brother.
I'm a support/solo main and I definitely don't like being squishy, is just the way I like to play games even if I could get more kills as a mage (Wich most of the time I till get more kills than mid) I like to play the game of attrition
@@jimbodelimbo yeah I tend to forget sometimes that i dont have a fat health pool playing other roles. Will subconsciously body block as a squish only to remember i only have 1000 hp looking at my death timer.
I'm normally a jungle, but been playing support lately. You're right, keeping people alive is WAAYYYY harder than anything else lmao. Teammates often make some of the weirdest plays & you don't really notice until its your jobs to help them not die, while not dying yourself.
Having been talking with my brother about this for a while and I agree 100%. The doubt between jungle and support still hits me HARD, 'cause IMO Junglers have a better impact overall and have to time better when to go someplace, but still I agree that being a GOOD support and knowing well the ropes it's harder than Jungler. Great video!
I've got such a nasty support habit when I get stuck playing a different role. My mates and I get a kick out of me running in at half hp to tank hits for my team when I'm a mage... and don't even get me started on me grabbing that support buff everytime I see it lol
i think its the other way around, with supports you cant really "master" a god like you can with a jungler, jungle calls the shots, jungle takes objectives, jungle has to worry about chaos and order side of the map unlike supports. junglers can 1v5 but you can win games without a support but very rarely have i EVER won without a jungler
And get blamed for being useless even though you landed everything you needed to and stalled for as long as possible but a team mate still can't make it work. A support only enhances how well the team is doing and if the team is terrible your just out of luck.
@@excursor4296 so true.. though sometimes it also results in you just vibing and the team flaming eachother.. like i had in a game a while back while playing bacchus.. i was just vibing tanking my arse off (despite supp being my weakest role) and my team just started flaming eachother and suprisingly i wasn't part of it even once
As a support main, I know how hard it is to get your xp if you're always roaming around and looking for possible ganks. But in my opinion playing as Jungle is harder, because you have the pressure from your team and you always get a ping or vgs, because your solo, duo or mid got ganked. It's stressful sometimes but you have to stick to your gameplay and get your farm to kick ass mid to late game. As a tip from a support main. Building Theben and staying in Lane till you get it upgraded helps rotating a lot. And sticking to defensive items until you got a lead is also normal. Getting a Spear of the Magus or Ethereal Staff as a 6th item is sometimes pretty nice.
I am support main and I really enjoy playing it especially with Athena and Khepri too. I like being tanky and being able to survive enemy burst damage you ca run back alive even in 1 vs 3 situations . Also support is always where fun is meaning team fights. Starting from duo lane its 2 vs 2 always and then to mid 2 vs 2 or 3 vs 3 to late team fights you are always where action is not missing anything I remember as solo many times matches are over before I even started rotating just farming entire time . Also you lead your team and dictate objectives and everything.
i agree mostly. i would say ADC easier than solo in my view. and on 1 other note, for how important mid lane is, it’s also the most dependant on the rest of the team. it doesn’t matter how far ahead you are if you’re having 2-3 enemies constantly in your lane with none of your own teammates nearby
As a support main, this made me feel recognized. Nobody cares that i have like 30 assists and like 60k mitigated in a match. just see the k-d of like , 0-4 and spam "im the greatest" as if i wasnt there setting up kills and peeling. often a thankless job but im a ride-or-die kinda guy.
i’ve embraced the support role and it feels so good to back up and lead team fights to help win the game. i personally can’t take on the carry role but i can help get my team get kills a lot easier. shoutout to my carry’s who back up my initiations 👏
The hardest part for me who only plays support is trying to understand why my teammate gets so upset when someone other than them gets the kill. For me, just enemy die is already enough. I also have to deal with toxicity all the time because one mistake is greater than all my work in the whole game.
Definitely jungle. Because 8/10 games the second mid dies just once they immediately start taking junglers farm. The 2 xp camps and the buff purposely putting jungle behind. Some solos do it as well but it's rare. That being said I love solo and love carrying as solo
I find it hilarious that when first getting into conquest in season 7, i was a solo/adc main, the two easier roles. But when coming to college and joining the smite team, i got switched to the roaming roles (jungler/support), the two hardest roles. Granted it did take me about a whole season to finally get a grasp on them
i feel jungle is harder, i remember when i wanted to main jungle cause the god pool is so diverse and i sucked so bad and wanted to quit the game entirely cause it was loss after loss until i mastered pathing, farming, map control and vision, combos and just getting better at the gods in general. as of now i can carry a lot of games with a god like ne zha, thor, thanatos or susano
Nice vid! Back when I had to play a game of Conquest for a quest (I'm a terrible casual scrub), I was happy to get a Solo role because of how much I watched you! You know, I REALLY wanna see these Athena/Assassin/other unconventional Solo plays again from you! ;_; Pls can you make some general gameplay vids someday! I also encourage you to make some casual streams someday again. :)
Playing support means that your teammates need to actually hit their abilities and know when to extend/retreat which doesn’t seem to be a running theme with smite players
as a support main here my thoughts; 1st of all its all about start. If you started bad and if you're behind all roles are really hard cuz Smite's gamelplay identidity kinda "early snow ball" . So if you're behind or your first 5 minutes went bad then its bad for all of you (specially for Mid and Jungle tho) But I'll assume that every lane performing exactly the same and everything going just fine. You're not far ahead or far behind. Just bare minimum comfort zone lets say ? Then I'll call it like this; 1- Mid Lane (you'll open to attacks from both side, you have the least mobility most of the time and you have to be the 2nd or 3rd most roaming role on the map. And for late game you need to be the judge, jurry and the executioner. Cuz most of the time you'll both setup and execute that setup via AoE abilities. 2- Support (obvious reasons) 3- Jungle (this role can e real hard for beginning I think jungle has the biggest early learning curve but when you done with that curve its ok. But for Mid and Support that curve will never end there is always something to learn something to improve imo. In terms of mechanics and map awareness yes Jungler can be #1 hardest from time to time but Jungle is a role that u can get use to. On the other hand Mid and Support requires more improvizing and creating positions and even calling shots. Thats why jungler #3 ) Highest Skill Floor -> Jungler but in terms of Skill and Knowledge/Strategy Ceiling -> Support and Mid >>> Jungler These 3 role imo very close to each other when it comes to difficulty to perform well. But the extra problem with Support imo even tho its mechanicly not "far more" challenging than Jungle or Mid Lane (for specific gods and strategies it might even easier) but mentaly its hard. Cuz even tho secretly you carry the game, no one will accept you as a "carry" . Even tho you call all "game winning" shots at crucial comments nothing gonna beat a Jungler with 15+ 5+ 10+ KDA in the end. The problem of Support being hard is I think the lack of "rewarding feeling" and every game you'll be there and make things easier for your teammates even tho you know you'll never get enough attention. That makes Supports the #1 hardes when it comes to mental stuff imo --------------- There is a gap between------------------------ 4- Solo 5- Adc First 3 class is close to each other when it comes to difficulties and mechanical challenges. But these 2 class significantly easier than first 3 class I mentioned. Why Solo harder than ADC ? Cuz Solo requires more strategic challanges and mind games. If ADC dies he can blame Support or Jungler even tho it was its own fault and can keep his head up in the game. But in Solo there is no one to blame , no one to support. If you screwed up in 1 v 1 boxing, poking and farming thats %70 of the time on you. And keep playing this role on daily basis even tho you know this ? Thats much more challenging than what ADC does. 5- Only thing for ADC is skillshots and good positioning, feeling the rythm of the team right. Other than that, just keep left mouse button hit all the time Skill Ceiling : Mid > Supp > Solo > Adc > Jungle Skill Floor: Jungler > Solo > Mid > Supp > Adc Mechanical Challenges: Mid > Jungle > Supp > Solo = ADC Strategic Importance: Mid = Supp >= Jungler > Solo = ADC Mental Challenge = Support >>> Solo >= Mid = Jungle >> ADC
This is very similar to my ranking but I switched adc with solo and support with jungle. I think solo is harder than adc because of the match up knowledge needed since adc's only have hunters and some mages but solo have warriors, most guardians, a lot of assassins, and some mages. I would switch support and jungle because jungle is usually squishy so if you misplay it is way worse than if you misplay as a support. It is also easier to feed as a jungler.
I've never gotten death threats playing bad as a jungler but I've received them from my teammates while playing perfectly just cuz they feed walkingninto 1v5s. Try again
This ranking is true outside of Conquest, admittedly the roles are skewed a little based on the mode. I don't play Conquest and even in Arena Support can be difficult to play, that's why everyone tends to avoid it like the plague. Had too many games where there was no Support and we lost because of it.
I'm a support main and I get super tired of people blaming me for "not saving them" while they feed their hearts out. Do your supports a favour guys and realise that if you are vastly out of position there is likely little we can do. We have cooldowns too and if it takes you four or five seconds to get back from your current position to relative safety then how on earth are we supposed to swing that?
I say jungle is the hardest cause my mid didnt use their free ward to help keep them alive as they keep trying to over push for just a kill. It's always mid whos salty first before other lanes. Normally duo gets salty after 2nd time the jungle attacks. Solo only gets satly if the enemy jungle pushed them under lvled and they are now constantly unable to win the 1v1
Yeah, support has to do everything a jungle does but can't farm by themselves or kill by themselves. Not even mentioning that unless the backline is way out of position its usually their fault when they die
I used to be a support main before I switched to being a jungle/solo main. Support is definately an important role that is overshadowed. Jungle is or can be equally important from team ganks and being consistant with exp. Honestly I'd put both jungle and support on the same level of importance. Jungle with its early ganks then support with its mid game change to midlane.
Fun fact on console if you dash as Thoth into an enemy the games freezeres just a little make hitting that root much harder also second fun fact if you dash with rat into an enemy sometimes your camera ends up at the end point of your dash and suddenly zoom back these bug have been happening to me since season 7 my friend say the same tails
As a Support/ JG main, I would say mid is hardest to play once you get to a certain skill level.. used to play in masters leagues/tourneys, and good mids are very hard to find.. the damage from the mid and positioning makes or breaks a team. Plus getting through laning with the most people in your lane, contesting all mid camps, having the most possible “enemy missings” to call. Look what happened when Jade’s mid didn’t perform well. It’s not easy at alll to play at Sheento’s or Paul’s level, but that’s why they’re very well respected. Good supports are certainly under appreciated, but they really have the ability to mess up over and over as long as they’re even sorta peeling. Maybe mid isn’t seen as difficult/ as crucial as it should be because the community has a lower expectation of the skill floor potential, thoughts?
I could see that. I find mid to be the most stressful and I'm certain you're better than I am but support and jungle are difficult due to your mobility. I main solo and it's usually pretty brain dead until the end of the game where you're initiating teamfights. Most tanks aren't too skill intensive but assassins are.
You bring up a good point but I find that jg/support are harder due to the fact that they have to make sure that every time they're going somewhere that it's worth it and that they aren't wasting time. On the other hand, mid is mostly in their lane and hitting abilities/doing damage and positioning is something that should already be familiar to the mid laner and they shouldn't struggle in that department. I think that maybe you might be confusing difficulty with impact on the game as if the other mid laner gets ahead by killing you, or your jg, etc, they stomp very hard and overall, mid laners/mages are just extremely powerful especially now.
I agree with the two spot of jungler and support. But i totally disagree with the warrior place. Adc is n°5. Require the least skill. Missing is not punishing (auto attack doesn't have cooldown) is protected all game by the support. Barely rotate until late and keeping one gear is enough Mage is n°4 : even with the rotation the class have to do. The role stay quite chill. Just knowing positioning and 1 or 2 build is enough in my opinion Warior is n°3 : the role is not as easy to pick as it seem. as a solo you have to know how rotate at midgame. Make sure to always be ahead of everything. Keep track of all god / rotation and build to counterbuild in order to keep a chance. Also. It is the hardest role late game with a mecanic that is so easy to punish For the 2 last i totally agree with your video
When I used to play Smite I was a Solo/Support main, and I could do decent in mid. ADC felt boring to me and I could not play Jungle for shit even when I tried 😂. And I can for sure say that playing solo was often a chill game for me, compared to the supporting, nice balance between easy and hard.
Luckily the support starter item is really good at keeping you relevant item wise, and most of the support items are extremely cost effective (cheaper items with massive benefits). You can fall behind as support, but as long as you have some form of Thebes, sov, or heartward - you'll be relevant. JG on the otherhand is extremely reliant on early rotations and pressure. Any camp you gain or lose will change the dynamic of the game, as it means the losing jungle will have to make up farm elsewhere (usually in the form of splitting waves or doing back camps, which gives more free pressure to the enemy jg to rotate). On top of that, JG is in charge of initiating fights in pretty much every lane from early to mid game, and there's a lot to lose if you fuck up. It's hard to say, but I'd personally rank jungle as slightly more difficult.
God, playing support sometimes feels like babysitting a bunch of suicidal toddlers... no timmy u cant stick that fork into the outlet, and no scylla you cant use your 3 to invade their red buff
Solo sitting in lane the whole game? That's some beta mentality, grab a couple of solo kills, buy persistent teleport before 5 minutes and become the third jungler and win the game. Easy. Jokes aside, as a fellow solo main, I agree.
It’s funny, I’m a solo main and ADC is my second best role, and I genuinely think ADC is the easiest role in the game. Besides the most basic mechanics, ADCs can solo kill their opponents way easier than Solo. ADCs also tend to have a way easier time in having an impact in a game than Solo, mainly because the game is so heavily based around snowballing, which becomes 10 times easier when you can actually do an objective.
@@Anirudhji2001 i also think the fundamentals of ADC are easier than any other role. solo lane requires a lot of build knowledge and matchup knowledge, ADC just hold left click, farm, and build the exact same thing every game more or less. the only time ADC becomes hard is when you’re 2 levels down and can’t step out of tower without dying. Solo’s are at least tanky enough to take a step out of tower a little bit
as a support main I think it has to go with jungle just because if you arnt doing dmg then your team will most likely lose the game, support is more about having to pick who you are going to safe on your team and sticking with said person/people
Fellow support main here. I hate people complaining when I don't save them. I get it all the time, especially as Khepri. Support gods tend to have a very limited, but potent amount of CC, that means I might use a root to stop someone from chasing you. If you see that I rooted someone (sticking with khepri for this example) and you turn to attack them because they can't move and you get blown up because the rest of the chasing team collapses on you, that is on you. We're also tanky, but we don't have infinite amounts of HP and defense. Our health will go down just like yours it will just take longer. That being said, if a team fight is going south and you're in the middle of four of them and you don't retreat to try and defend after losing the fight, I am not going to stick with you because with my CC I am more likely to stall for a teammate to respawn and push the enemies back. I say all this because I don't think it is my job to save the one person that will "win us the game." That is inherently flawed and will most often lose you games. As a support you need to know how to pick your battles. This doesn't mean you don't protect anyone, it means you see who is doing what and when and support them in the moment. If you can save the Kuku while the enemy is trying to do FG and he steals it because you sacrificed yourself for them, then you're doing your job correctly. If you only try to save the ADC or the Mid because they do the most damage or take objectives better.
Before watching my order prediction (easiest to hardest) is solo, carry, mid, jungle, support, primarily from solo and carry being sorta just off on the edge of the map doing their own thing most of the time, with carry being more difficult due to the early game and higher gank potential in the lane, mid for being similar to carry but being centrally located, so alot of people wandering through all the time and ganks being very frequent, then jungle and support for being very roamy roles that require map knowledge and alot of paying attention to what your team is doing at any given point rather than just what youre doing, with support having it harder because their goal is to keep their team alive but not really normally having the means to directly shutout an enemy by themselves, so constantly having to both rely on and be relied upon by the team to succeed
Jungle, the amount I get flamed for not being in all 3 lans 24/7 and having to focus which side of the map a can usually gank on is hell. Then theres the lanes that want a gank when they've pushed the enemy into tower. Mechanically I hate playing solo tho
For me it's Jungle > Support > ADC > mid > solo not because I disagree much with the video, but because I'm considering the way the matchmaking works also. Normally it's 2 or 3 experienced players plus 2 or 3 newbie players. So if you're one of the good one and ends up as support or jungle, all the laners are newbies and may feed to up point that you have to work much much more to impact the game to a win
Im a solo main and I like support this makes me wanna be a support main and just grind till I become insanely good Any tips on how to get my Gameplay to the next level? Any reddit threat, youtube detailed guide, even a written article I just want to learn as much as possible
Theres a sub called smitetraining or which helps anyone in general. As for what do as a supp is: Stay in duo till lvl 5 then help mid, afterwards look for oportunities like atacking golden fury or sneaky ganks (as supp you should have a mindset of a fat jungle). Build wise im not the best but i like to start with benevolence, thebes(if 3mages or more) or sovereign for physical, pridwen for early cdr, antiheal usualy (mostly pestilence), and now either heartward or breastplate (for mana), last item CAN (but not allways) be more offensive like spear of magus or ethereal for ccr (but can also be another defense item if you feel too squishy). Ward is important the enemy entrance to red buff and entrance to solo (top left and right), FG and rarely golden fury/obelisk. But if you want to how truly be a supp player watch streamers they are one of the best teachers pointing at the right direction.
After I read the comments I have only but 1 thing to say, supports are the true hero's,I don't care if my team gets a penta kill ill still praise my support no matter what,I know that support gets the brunt of the bs they deal with, its not there fault, they try to help in any way,idk why people yell at them, instead of yelling at the guy who is trying to keep you alive you should focus that anger into doing better,I know im not a support main but i to know there pain,im really happy that there are support mains, whenever I see one on my team I feel safe and I know I can count on them
I have always thought solo was easy, but I think that’s just because over the years. But after trying to get really good at support, I personally think that is the hardest role.
Although I completely agree with this list I do think playing jungle is harder emotionally because of the community and if the team is doing terribly, ganking will be very difficult for you and you are literally responsible for everyone’s lanes and they always want to blame you for the shortcomings. I have been playing for 5 years and play every role in game without issue but I main jungle simply because Thanatos is my favorite. I hate support the most because I’m relying on everyone else to do well to get farm to do my job and I have to trust my team to follow up and they don’t always. Support objectively is the hardest to play, jungle is emotionally the hardest to play within smite
so true.. like a very good example i have of one of my own games was a Fenrir support that was flaming me for not being able to split myself in two.. i had just ganked the solo lane and gotten a double kill as the enemy jungle was there aswell.. so our supp decides oh well my ADC just died on the duo while i was right next to him let's blame the jungle.. started saying shit like: ugh useless jungle and ugh didn't you see we were dieing gank us.. my instant reaction to this was to simply tell him: well sorry lemme just turn on my hacks and teleport to you your majesty. like sometimes it just feels like logic.exe failed to load for some people
@@litchtheshinigami8936 Firstly, I don't want to argue over the point of which is harder. I think Jungle and Support are equally as taxing skill wise and emotionally because they are the two that get blamed the most when a game is going south. However, when I play support and my ADC and I are winning our lane but then they get baby sat by the jungler because they need the help, I don't blame my jungler for not being there. Instead what happens is I start paying attention to what our jungler is doing. If Duo starts to lose and my jungler doesn't want to give us some pressure on lane, then they best be giving that pressure to other lanes to shift where our lead goes. More often than not, when I flame my jungler it is because the enemy jungler is doing things on duo/mid constantly and my jungler has decided to just take jungle farm and stick to solo/mid, where ever the enemy jungler isnt. Normally that is the right play in concept, however we don't gain anything. They don't engage in fights, they go where ever the conflict isn't, rush to level 20 with no kills under their belt, and then wonder why we're losing the game. I never like to pin blame on a jungler if we're losing because the enemy jungler is ganking when ours isn't there. That's the smart play. The counter play is to get objectives, kills, farm, pressure on other lanes and a lot of the time my jungler doesn't do that.
@@TheAce5399 yeah i agree.. now i don't play jungle a lot unless i'm with a full premade (i mostly play ADC and Mid when i do play conquest.. but as of right now i haven't played conquest in a while) and i do agree that there are those junglers that just don't seem to do anything.. for me the worst type is the type that looks like they are about to gank but then they don't actually gank.. so i go in expecting them to gank but they instead run off into the distance and go farm some more. i don't like blaming others however sometimes it's just obvious that they have a very different skill level than i do. and sometimes people start flaming before i can even do anything to change things. like i make mistakes i am not afraid to admit that.. but instead of asking me for some backup in a normal way a lot of the time it doesn't happen in a normal way but you are immideately cussed out for everything god forbade (wich is extremely unfortunate because unfortunately i can also be extremely petty.. in wich case i have moments in wich i'll just tell them i won't help them if they don't do something about their attitude wich granted might not always be the best thing to do but at least it's casuals.)
Personally I would say jungle is slightly harder than support because the jungler has a bigger impact in the came, most of the time you can still be a decent team even with a trash support but if you have a trash jungle there's not much you can do once again personal opinion and apart from that I completely agree with everything else you said
so most will disagree with me and that is FINE because my result speaks for themselves, I can play some VERY few gods in all roles, I think that's what push me through the roles. If I can't play the right gods in solo I always lose the 1st tower and the lane in 15 minutes however, I have tried to play the ''right gods'' but it just don't work, finding your own way for solo makes it less of a hard role but otherwise its definately the worst
Here are a few easy to follow, non-conflicting tips for playing support well according to ADC's, Mids and Junglers. 1. Protect the ADC 2. Protect the Mid 3. Don't take farm from the mid or ADC 4. Don't take farm from Solo either they need it more 5. And stop taking jungle camps too they're not yours 6. Be everywhere at once 7. Except in lanes taking XP 8. Be there to help when a lane gets ganked 9. But don't take any XP while doing it 10. Peel for your carries in teamfights 11. Also engage in teamfights 12. Peeling does not mean getting kills, never "KS" in a teamfight 13. But don't like your carries die 14. But don't kill the enemy solo to stop them from dying 15. Ward all three lanes at the same time, plus gold fury and fire giant 16. What do you mean you can only place 2 wards at any given time? 17. Well it's not the carries job to ward, so someone has too 18. Oh look, the ADC was split pushing without wards 19. You should have warded specifically for them any no one else. 20. I don't care if you're 0/5/34. You're still 0/5. 21. It doesn't matter that the carry is 4/8/2, you're still 0/5 22. Despite being 0/0/24 with 96% kill participation, the enemy support had more damage than you so you're bad 23. Doesn't matter than you're a Khepri and they're an Ares 24. You contributed nothing. 25. Close smite and wonder why you do this to yourself day in, day out. Open smite 20 mins later and repeat.
You have a lot of insight on why solo is such a difficult lane. On a basic level it’s easiest but your explanation makes it seem like a top 3 contender at a masters lvl. Love the video tho
Also just because your role is easier (read: more straight-forward) than others, that doesn't mean you won't be able to make huge plays with it. A well-fed solo is a total terror when he decides to leave his safe haven to ruin someone's day
Support and jungle are the hardest because if you start losing you are the first to blame for no real reason. The mental game must be strong and that can be the hardest part of playing smite
Hey Inter! To become an MWP, one should train one role, or just play different roles from time to time? (Totally agree with your list bro) solo ranked 5, because basically you need to win one god!)
Jungle. Easily. Jungle can affect EVERY lane. Support is next. Since you have to know how to rotate and still get enough xp while helping your teammates.
i think this debate could be separated in laning phase and team fight stage. Like I think I am badish adc in lane but pretty good in team fights, beacause teamfighting as a adc is easier. While solo laning phase is easier than teamfighting.
So I definitely agree with support and jg being harder, but I have to say I think jungle is harder. Once you get into high tier lobbies positioning is so difficult on top of knowing when to go in. I’d say it’s slightly harder then support.
Personally i think jungle is the hardest because it's rare for me to find people who can jungle well. I end up being forced to jungle to get wins. Now the hardest for ME would be carry cause i suck with almost every hunter. I don't know why i just struggle with their autos lol.
ADC and Mid have just never made sense to me. Too often have I found myself behind in those lanes and wondering why the hell their ADC/Mid can absolutely shred any member of our team but I can't even box the support. I'll stick to my Hydra's assassin's and tanky boys
Jungle is easily harder than support, yes support needs to watch abilities, ults, map awareness and team awareness but so does jungle but even more so. Ive won with an AFK support, i will almost never ever win with an AFK or trolling jungler though unless im ADC and can take objectives, building in jungle is pretty easy but you get a feel for builds after 500 hours of playing so i dont think it should be calculated into which role is hardest.
smite is the only moba where i actually enjoy playing all 5 roles, there's not a single role wich i dont like playing. its interesting because in league it wasnt like this, i hated playing adc, support or mid lane
while I do agree with this completely solo is my worst role by far because I'm not very confident in my decisions on when to an when not to fight so I normally take a "lose lane win game" stance an focus on not fallin behind. only time I really excel in solo is when I'm able to easily outplay my opponent an they basically feed themselves to me. so for me the easiest to hardest would be ADC, Mid, Jungle, Support, Solo even tho I still think solo is the easiest overall.
Good list, in my opinion before you play jungle you should at least know to some extent how to play all the over roles to make more effective and impact full decisions as a jungler
For me its #5 adc (you get support from a friend for a bigger chunk of early and then farm bot) #4 solo (A few mistakes can create a lead you cant really stop) #3 mid (farm bot like adc but EVERYONE ON THE MAP WANTS YOUR ASS) #2 sup (just because I got away with just building auras and waltzing through the map like a giant carebear) #1 jng (you dont have your favourite farming spot and if you didnt do anything in the first ten minutes of the game, every lane and your own jungle pay for it)
And even when the support does really well in a game: when they protected, defended, pealed, healed, they still don't get a 'good job' from anyone on the team. But if any other role does something like get a double kill, everyone starts praising them with 'nice job'. Support, the unsung Hero.
I am still learning the commands for good job.
@@tymelgrant5138 On PC, there’s a minigame that lets you practice VGS, that’s how I learned.

@@zorinzorinzorin5243 it’s on console too
I'm on xbox. I gotta find that game. Thanks.
Anyways, enough if my bantering. If you've made it this far, have a wonderful rest of your day! SMILE! 😁
The world needs more people like you
As a support main, truer words have never been spoken!
The struggle of having a team were all of us share the same braincell when it comes to strategy xD
But we are all pretty new to smite and are still transitioning into pvp instead of AI games.
Well said, totally relatable
You mean a low skill floor
I'd say jungler is a little harder than support, because most of the jungle gods are harder to play than the gods that roll support.
The biggest thing is positioning. I’m a support main too and not paying attention and getting blown up at the front always feels bad
This is me too. As a Support main, it just feels wrong not being in the middle of the fights so mid is completely alien.
Playing an aggresive support with a team thats extremely passive and only turtles and never takes risks is the absolute worst feeling.
THIS IS MY GADDAMN LIFE
@Shawn Rasmussen They're not picking a defensive team. Sometimes they are literally too afraid to take objectives and play the game in general.
I stepped out of supp in League because of that.
Now I just push towers whenever I want!
I think Jungle has a higher skill floor than Support but Support has a higher skill ceiling, making it more difficult.
i think its the other way around, with supports you cant really "master" a god like you can with a jungler, jungle calls the shots, jungle takes objectives, jungle has to worry about chaos and order side of the map unlike supports. junglers can 1v5 but you can win games without a support but very rarely have i EVER won without a jungler
I can answer now: it's Support.
Support is the only role where you receive Mental and Emotional Damage from both teams :(
And get blamed for being useless even though you landed everything you needed to and stalled for as long as possible but a team mate still can't make it work.
I feel like most hate comes from your own team. They're supposed to be my allies and yet I find myself muting and blocking them the most.
Support players try not to play the victim challenge (impossible)
i’ve embraced the support role and it feels so good to back up and lead team fights to help win the game. i personally can’t take on the carry role but i can help get my team get kills a lot easier. shoutout to my carry’s who back up my initiations 👏
Ong shit nearly makes me won't to quit the game
If you are a jungle fighting on the otherside of the map, I can take the back ex. By the time you get back it will be up.
I find it hilarious that when first getting into conquest in season 7, i was a solo/adc main, the two easier roles. But when coming to college and joining the smite team, i got switched to the roaming roles (jungler/support), the two hardest roles. Granted it did take me about a whole season to finally get a grasp on them
As an adc main I think support is probably the hardest to jump into but also the most rewarding
i feel jungle is harder, i remember when i wanted to main jungle cause the god pool is so diverse and i sucked so bad and wanted to quit the game entirely cause it was loss after loss until i mastered pathing, farming, map control and vision, combos and just getting better at the gods in general. as of now i can carry a lot of games with a god like ne zha, thor, thanatos or susano
Would rank support as hardest simply by virtue of how much flaming you are going to receive
This is the perfect ranking. I would’ve ranked the exact same way. Great video bro!!
im a jungler main who secondary’s support. Im weird but- i usually find that mid is my personal hardest role
as a support main here my thoughts;
1st of all its all about start. If you started bad and if you're behind all roles are really hard cuz Smite's gamelplay identidity kinda "early snow ball" . So if you're behind or your first 5 minutes went bad then its bad for all of you (specially for Mid and Jungle tho)
But I'll assume that every lane performing exactly the same and everything going just fine. You're not far ahead or far behind. Just bare minimum comfort zone lets say ?
Then I'll call it like this;
1- Mid Lane (you'll open to attacks from both side, you have the least mobility most of the time and you have to be the 2nd or 3rd most roaming role on the map. And for late game you need to be the judge, jurry and the executioner. Cuz most of the time you'll both setup and execute that setup via AoE abilities.
2- Support (obvious reasons)
3- Jungle (this role can e real hard for beginning I think jungle has the biggest early learning curve but when you done with that curve its ok. Thats why jungler #3 ) Highest Skill Floor -> Jungler but in terms of Skill and Knowledge/Strategy Ceiling -> Support and Mid >>> Jungler
These 3 role imo very close to each other when it comes to difficulty to perform well.
That makes Supports the #1 hardes when it comes to mental stuff imo
--------------- There is a gap between------------------------
4- Solo
5- Adc
First 3 class is close to each other when it comes to difficulties and mechanical challenges.
Other than that, just keep left mouse button hit all the time
Skill Ceiling : Mid > Supp > Solo > Adc > Jungle
Skill Floor: Jungler > Solo > Mid > Supp > Adc
Mechanical Challenges: Mid > Jungle > Supp > Solo = ADC
Strategic Importance: Mid = Supp >= Jungler > Solo = ADC
Mental Challenge = Support >>> Solo >= Mid = Jungle >> ADC
Try again
@Shawn Rasmussen I definitely haven't been your jungle then. I leave solo alone unless they ward and I see enemy jungler coming for them
This ranking is true outside of Conquest, admittedly the roles are skewed a little based on the mode. I don't play Conquest and even in Arena Support can be difficult to play, that's why everyone tends to avoid it like the plague. Had too many games where there was no Support and we lost because of it.
I can actually agree with this list completely
Solo only gets satly if the enemy jungle pushed them under lvled and they are now constantly unable to win the 1v1
and DAMN that guitar riff at the end of video, bang that head that does not bang!
As a support main just know I appreciate the recognition. 😭🧡
Yeah, support has to do everything a jungle does but can't farm by themselves or kill by themselves. Not even mentioning that unless the backline is way out of position its usually their fault when they die
At least as support you arent expected to be in every lane at once, or else your useless
@@orionar2461 oh no they still expect you to be there for the fights also to not take any of their farm
@@Nhyufll weird, never got flamed for taking farm as a support. Maybe I'm just lucky on that?
As a support main, I agree with all five of your placements.
*Support*
Being bullied hurts ;'(
Ah, what a world we live in, when you have to preface a video game video with "please don't take offense if ..." lol. Thanks for the opinion piece.
I agree with the two spot of jungler and support. But i totally disagree with the warrior place.
Adc is n°5. Require the least skill. Missing is not punishing (auto attack doesn't have cooldown) is protected all game by the support. Barely rotate until late and keeping one gear is enough
Mage is n°4 : even with the rotation the class have to do. The role stay quite chill. Just knowing positioning and 1 or 2 build is enough in my opinion
Warior is n°3 : the role is not as easy to pick as it seem. as a solo you have to know how rotate at midgame. Make sure to always be ahead of everything. Keep track of all god / rotation and build to counterbuild in order to keep a chance.
Also. It is the hardest role late game with a mecanic that is so easy to punish
For the 2 last i totally agree with your video
When I used to play Smite I was a Solo/Support main, and I could do decent in mid. ADC felt boring to me and I could not play Jungle for shit even when I tried 😂. And I can for sure say that playing solo was often a chill game for me, compared to the supporting, nice balance between easy and hard.
I started in solo on Vamana before he got these nice buffs Luke move speed and shield
I 100% agree with this list me and friends alway debate about roles for new people to play I was thinking of a video idea like this good job bro 👍👌
this is probably a subject that is overall dependant on who you ask. Different people will find different things difficult.
As a jungle solo main couldn’t agree more play solo when I’m trying to relax
@@TheAce5399 im not gonna lie chief Im not reading all that just for a youtube comment
Some more quality pro support content👏🏼
I can agree with this list for the most part, I think I'd switch jungle and support but that's my own opinion
Just realised. He's a true conquest player as he calles the SOLO role "Solo lane"
"Solo lane"
The enemy team: *laughs in 5 man rotation*
For me it's Jungle > Support > ADC > mid > solo
not because I disagree much with the video, but because I'm considering the way the matchmaking works also.
Normally it's 2 or 3 experienced players plus 2 or 3 newbie players. So if you're one of the good one and ends up as support or jungle, all the laners are newbies and may feed to up point that you have to work much much more to impact the game to a win
i remember when i was playing artio and we won, and enemy team told us that i carried the match as a support while my team was praising adc
Im a solo main and I like support this makes me wanna be a support main and just grind till I become insanely good
Any tips on how to get my Gameplay to the next level? Any reddit threat, youtube detailed guide, even a written article I just want to learn as much as possible
Theres a sub called smitetraining or which helps anyone in general. As for what do as a supp is:
Stay in duo till lvl 5 then help mid, afterwards look for oportunities like atacking golden fury or sneaky ganks (as supp you should have a mindset of a fat jungle).
@@mr.grey1753 I aporeciate it man useful info. Thanks for the reply!
I’m a solo main but I basically had the same list 1-5 hardest to simplest was support jungle mid solo adc
After I read the comments I have only but 1 thing to say, supports are the true hero's,I don't care if my team gets a penta kill ill still praise my support no matter what,I know that support gets the brunt of the bs they deal with, its not there fault, they try to help in any way,idk why people yell at them, instead of yelling at the guy who is trying to keep you alive you should focus that anger into doing better,I know im not a support main but i to know there pain,im really happy that there are support mains, whenever I see one on my team I feel safe and I know I can count on them
Objectively it’s Jungle.
Solo lane highly depends o the meta
Yes in tanky metas is easier but in todays meta its not that ez cuz you're not thatt takny anymore
@Shawn Rasmussen yeah exactly you cant build tanky anymore gilga with berserk shreds ur defense with just 1 item
Support has to be hardest by far. Look at how much they have to carry everyone else.
I have seen junglers get rightly blamed for not ganking. Yet they are asking you to gank into CC death as if you are a warrior.
so true.. like a very good example i have of one of my own games was a Fenrir support that was flaming me for not being able to split myself in two.. i had just ganked the solo lane and gotten a double kill as the enemy jungle was there aswell.. so our supp decides oh well my ADC just died on the duo while i was right next to him let's blame the jungle.. started saying shit like: ugh useless jungle and ugh didn't you see we were dieing gank us.. my instant reaction to this was to simply tell him: well sorry lemme just turn on my hacks and teleport to you your majesty. like sometimes it just feels like logic.exe failed to load for some people
@@litchtheshinigami8936 Firstly, I don't want to argue over the point of which is harder.
Yeah but atleast you could still be ahead in jg as a supp if your team is behind you are useless
I find it really funny how support is easy for me but solo is hard for me
Here are a few easy to follow, non-conflicting tips for playing support well according to ADC's, Mids and Junglers.
1. Protect the ADC
2. Protect the Mid
3. Don't take farm from the mid or ADC
4. Don't take farm from Solo either they need it more
5. And stop taking jungle camps too they're not yours
6. Be everywhere at once
7. Except in lanes taking XP
8. Be there to help when a lane gets ganked
9. But don't take any XP while doing it
10. Peel for your carries in teamfights
11. Also engage in teamfights
12. Peeling does not mean getting kills, never "KS" in a teamfight
13. But don't like your carries die
14. But don't kill the enemy solo to stop them from dying
15. Ward all three lanes at the same time, plus gold fury and fire giant
16. What do you mean you can only place 2 wards at any given time?
17. Well it's not the carries job to ward, so someone has too
18. Oh look, the ADC was split pushing without wards
19. You should have warded specifically for them any no one else.
20. I don't care if you're 0/5/34. You're still 0/5.
21. It doesn't matter that the carry is 4/8/2, you're still 0/5
22. Despite being 0/0/24 with 96% kill participation, the enemy support had more damage than you so you're bad
23. Doesn't matter than you're a Khepri and they're an Ares
Yeah so its kinda like with League, well i guess Midlaners and ADCs would change positions on the last but thats it.
This is why I play fill, most people I see don’t even know what to build in support besides gau, sov, and prid.
Half the time we're only building thebes..
Jungle. Easily. Jungle can affect EVERY lane.
Support is next. Since you have to know how to rotate and still get enough xp while helping your teammates.
I play both solo and support. Honestly feel support is so much harder.
personaly i think jungler is harder too play but there is a bigger difrence in a good to great support then a good too great jungler.
i think this debate could be separated in laning phase and team fight stage. Like I think I am badish adc in lane but pretty good in team fights, beacause teamfighting as a adc is easier. While solo laning phase is easier than teamfighting.
Once you go solo, you never return.
(Hardest to easiest)
Beginner's Perspective: 1. Jungle 2. Mid 3. Carry 4/5 Support/Solo
Da Facts: 1. Support 2. Jungle 3. Solo 4. Mid 5. ADC
Damn. As a support main I feel like jungle is the hardest. Simply because a jungler who falls behind is basically worthless until the end game.
while I do agree with this completely solo is my worst role by far because I'm not very confident in my decisions on when to an when not to fight so I normally take a "lose lane win game" stance an focus on not fallin behind. only time I really excel in solo is when I'm able to easily outplay my opponent an they basically feed themselves to me. so for me the easiest to hardest would be ADC, Mid, Jungle, Support, Solo even tho I still think solo is the easiest overall.
Calling it before I watch the full video here. Hardest role, support. Easiest, ADC
I play mostly casuals and mostly play support. It hurts me when adc brings nothing for sustain.
What is Ending Song name bro?
Fineokay is punching the air rn
I can play any role, but sadly I play with people who can barely play a single role
Now I don't feel bad for not being able to play support and will swap at any opportunity. Because of one video of UA-cam.
Good list, in my opinion before you play jungle you should at least know to some extent how to play all the over roles to make more effective and impact full decisions as a jungler
For me its
#5 adc (you get support from a friend for a bigger chunk of early and then farm bot)
#4 solo (A few mistakes can create a lead you cant really stop)
#3 mid (farm bot like adc but EVERYONE ON THE MAP WANTS YOUR ASS)
#2 sup (just because I got away with just building auras and waltzing through the map like a giant carebear)
#1 jng (you dont have your favourite farming spot and if you didnt do anything in the first ten minutes of the game, every lane and your own jungle pay for it)
Laugh spam tier list.
Support main several hundreds games masters last year :) solo queues
i am a support main and find it pretty easy ( idont know maybe because am fairly new) but when i play solo/adc i am horrible
