I have some questions: 1) which are the difference between complex coloum and azeotropic distillation? min 11:00 2) why you set total liquid reboiler on the second coloum? It shouldn't partial liquid? 3) My ethanol stream has only 72% of ethanol while you have 96%?
Sir, I Drag Cape-Open Unit operation and I click OK but there is something happend, the flash unit of column distilation is nothing, so what is solution for this Problem?
QUESTION! Hello Muhammad, Thank You for this educative videos. I TRIES THIS EXAMPLE BUT I KEEP GETTING NaN error in the Solvent Stream connected to the Mixer. Please help.
I have a question: In the flash distillation unit, is correct that the ethanol is in the top of the column(consider that the boiling point of Benzene is 78 C and Ethanol is 80 C) ?
Hi Juan, Thanks for your interesting question. Yes, it is true in a binary mixture of ethanol and benzene that ethanol should be the bottom product. But the addition of p-xylene as a heavy entrainer to enhance the relative volatility of ethanol over benzene. Hence, ethanol is separated from the distillate of the first extractive distillation column while the bottom stream containing benzene and p-xylene is sent to an entrainer recovery column to obtain benzene from the top of the column. For details please read the following article: pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/acs.iecr.9b03095 I hope your doubt is cleared.
Good day Sir, I've followed all the steps you did in the video, but when it comes to the ChemSep column, I am not able to see the thermodynamics window, and as a result, my simulation gives me an error. Do you know how can I be able to activate such window?
well, I am not sure about it. because I did this simulation in the previous version of DWSIM. I will suggest you upgrade to the latest version of DWSIM and then see whether it solve the problem or not?
Simply superb ❤, please keep it up as it's helping many engineering students as well as working professionals.
Thanks for your contribution dude ❤
I appreciate your spent effort in making such fabulous videos!
Keep on, please!
Wish you all the best academically and professionally!
Thank you so much for the appreciation.
I am very much impressed by the way speedily you perform simulation. We are learning many things from you.
Keep up good work continue
Thanks
Thanks for your hard work!
I have a problem.
My list of CAPE-OPEN Unit Operation is empty. how to add?
thank you in advance!
Thanks a lot for this video sir. Really very helpful. Want to learn more and more from here, keep up the good work. Thanks a lot again😇

Very informative
Can you please do a simulation video on pressure swing distillation.
I followed all your instructions except the specifications in each column, I specified top and bottom mole fraction instead but got an error.
Can you share with me the error details?
Sir what should we do if we don't have number of trays and reflux data given in the question
First do shortcut distillation to find out the approximate number of plates and reflux.
You are genius 💪

Unfortunately I've updated the software since the 6.4 version and the problem remains the same. Thanks for the reply.
I'm having exactly the same issue, the thermodynamics window won't appear, only reactions.
I also have the same issue
@@albertoaguilar9773hey did you get the solution to it ?
Hello my friend and thanks for the video
How can I contact you..?
How add cape-open to dwsim
I can't get that research paper can you please send me the pdf file or link to download the paper.
Please reply I am working on this project. So I need that research paper.
