Good evening Dave and Logan. I found this site fairly recently and I am so glad I did. I am now "Binge Watching" your series of walks around one of my favourite areas of England. I thought I was familiar with Dorset having stayed there on many occasions (I'm from East Yorkshire) but I realise now even after 30 years of visits I haven't even "scratched the surface". Your videos will now be used as the basis for future visits. Keep 'em coming ....
Shashti (my Bengal) and I loved your video walk it brought back many memories of my visits to Portland. Shashi was especially interested in Logan and his new friend.
I enjoyed this Portland video Dave. Would like to see more of the island as I was born and still live here. There are so many points of interest and great views to be had. Well done.
Super video. I've walked both sides of the Bill so recognised much of what you showed. I've also seen the carving of the Roy Dog in Tout Quarry but have somehow not come across the grating you and Logan looked through where you told the story of the Roy Dog, so I found that all very interesting! what beautiful weather you had that day - the sea did indeed look wonderful.
Logan seemed quite unimpressed with your shaggy dog story at the cave hole! Portland always seems quite a singular place when I visit but very interesting and beautiful scenery. Thank you for sharing!
Hi Dave, another hugely enjoyable video, thank you. I wonder, if the opportunity arises, whether you would be able to do a walk around the 'top' of the island? The views looking over Fortuneswell and across the causeway are spectacular and there’s plenty of history too. Just a thought! 🙂
Looked like a beautiful day Dave. Not many squirrels for Logan to watch, due to the lack of trees. I saw that old crane on your Facebook page, but I didn’t know what it was used for. When you met the other whippet, I think you used the word ‘lighter’ or ‘sighter ‘ or something similar. I probably misheard what you said, so maybe you can clarify for me. Logan is a very gentle eater. He never snatches food out of your hand and he took his time with that sausage.
I used the word "Sighthound" - basically hounds that, originally, were bred for hunting primarily by speed & sight rather than scent & endurance as endurance hounds do. The main sighthound breeds are Greyhounds, Whippets & Salukis but there are many others. Yes, it was a super day and the sun really brought out the blue in the sea.
Perfect video on a perfect day. Thank you both. ❤️
Indeed - and the sausage & chips made a great ending to the walk!
Another fabulous video that has brought back memories of my hols in the late 60s and 70s. Thank you for creating and sharing
A great informative video of the unique and beautiful Isle of Portland. Your video shows the dramatic history and beauty. Thanks for posting.
Thanks and indeed thank you for watching.
That was brilliant…Thank you! I first came across your videos with the bald explorer. I must say I very much enjoy them!
Thank you and indeed welcome to the channel! I hope that you enjoy the future videos in the series. Thanks for watching.

It's a thumbs-up from me. So enjoyable. I'm further around the coast and it's lovely to see the coastguard cottages. Dear Logan. Thank you 😊
Thank you Linda and indeed thanks for watching.
Nice one Dave. Thanks for sharing this with us 👍
Thanks Andy. :)
breathtaking views at Portland 🤩
The scenery around that part of the coast is quite amazing.
Amazing walk on the coast
Thank you Keith. :)
A very dramatic coastal walk Dave. Really enjoyed the contrast to the inland walks👍
Thanks Mark. Back to the South Downs this week!
Shashti (my Bengal) and I loved your video walk it brought back many memories of my visits to Portland. Shashi was especially interested in Logan and his new friend.
Thanks Dave! I know of another regular viewer who has a dog that always pricks his ears when he sees Logan on the big screen!
On the map Portland bears a remarkable resemblance to South America!
Now you mention it .... indeed it does!
I enjoyed this Portland video Dave. Would like to see more of the island as I was born and still live here. There are so many points of interest and great views to be had. Well done.
Thanks Tony. I hope to go back and film a walk on the Northern side of the island some time for sure. Than you for watching.

The Cave Hole is very impressive to view through the grate - nature is an amazing thing at times.
Beautiful at Portland
Certainly agree with you there, Gill. Thanks for watching.
Dave this is great! I always thought you might like Portland Bill, it’s a really lovely location and your video has very much done it justice,
Thank you Edward. Glad you enjoyed it .... it was a great place to explore.

Yes, I think Logan was more interested in getting to the cafe for his sausage!

I certainly hope to do the "other half" of the island on another visit Phil - there is so much to explore there.

The `migrant` barge & the 500 odd men it will house will put an end to anyone, my family included, from any more visits.
It has certainly attracted a lot of attention for sure.
