It's a subtle difference, but the Lovers card is about being complementary halves that share and support each other, while the Justice card is about being the mirror-image/polar opposite to balance/counter-balance each other. Lover relationships can have mostly independent lives with a powerful overlap where they share a goal/cause, while Justice relationships tend to need each other's presence constantly as rivals/idol-simps. Goro may actually have a stronger bond to Joker than Ann, but in an arguably unhealthy way.

I love how everybody else's consuming and the rest of the original phantom thieves were like we must protect joker at all costs but then you have akechi screaming what's going on with you which is perfect 😂
I love this addition where if Joker almost dies, the rest of the party will freak out and basically do a last ditch effort in an attempt to protect him especially since if Joker dies it becomes game over no matter what so it feels like the game is looking out for the player by giving you one last trick up your sleeve for when you’re in a pinch (and it also demonstrates the bonds of Joker’s friendships so it’s a win-win)
Even Joker was caught off guard by Violet’s forwardness by including him in the finishing pose, but still manages to pose perfectly with Violet at the end was adorable. Joker’s dorky self mixed in with his suave metaverse self flawlessly when it comes to Violet (Sumire).
When the game demands that joker shall not die in battle or else game over despite having multiple revive items, revive skills and multiple other allies who are more than capable in a fight on their own. Seems all is in order moving on.
That always bugs me how it’s instantly game over if Joker falls. Sure, I can understand the consequences if you don’t update his gear or heal him when he needs it, but it also means one bad series of continuous hits or occurrence out of your control sends you back to the last save point, like when those cyclop elephants will enrage you and force you to physically attack them and get killed by a physical repel barrier.
