  • Each year from September to November, Algonquin Provincial Park undergoes a dramatic transformation from summer to winter. With Algonquin Park’s relatively high elevation compared to surrounding areas, and thus cooler temperatures, summers are short lived. Shorter daylight length and cooler temperatures, encourage plants and animals to prepare for winter. This film showcases the spectacular scenery and wildlife associated with fall in Algonquin Park. This footage was recorded entirely within the 7,630 square kilometres (2,946 square miles) of Algonquin Park in Ontario, Canada.

I'm 10, 000km away right now, and this made me feel like I was right there at home in Algonquin. Thank you so much for sharing this with us, truly a remarkable place.

What incredible cinematography. I couldn't stop watching. As far as I am concerned it wasn't long enough. Excellent job, thank you.

Beautiful! Algonquin is the quintessential Park representing the beauty of Ontario's landscapes and wild creatures. Fall, with the stunning foliage of Maples, later Aspen and Tamarack trees, is certainly the most magical season in which to visit as this video shows.

Otters were cool. Sometimes they will go over a mountain and slide down to the next lake. The turtles were the best!! One looks around and crawls over the one blocking the exit...."Outta the way!"

    Hi
I wanted to ask few questions
    1) when it would be the best time to see most of the fall colors this year, Is mid September a good time ??
    2) is it possible to see the northern lights (Aurora) in the algonquin or not ??
and again when would be a good time to see them ??
    3) I don't have a tent, do you offer some camping equipment if needed or not ?
can I otherwise stay in my car there for a night and sleep there if I don't have a tent ?

This sound track puts me to sleep and part of it reminds me of the sound track to a Charlie Brown cartoon. This video is 18 minutes too long.

Then don't watch it -- the people who love the wilderness will find this very interesting indeed.
