Yeah, she wasn't high on my figure list when I started collecting the Classics. But at some point, I picked her up to complete the collection, and I was then hooked on the creepy look of her character. This Masterverse version looks really cool and is a great option for much cheaper if you never got the classics one👌
You do a great job with these reviews. I like this figure. A couple of things could have made it better though. I think they should have recessed the face into the hood more and made the hood bigger to try and help shadow the "face" more naturally. Maybe that's not accurate to the lore/ original design though. Also, the casting hand sculpts could be a bit better. The poses aren't very dynamic as is. I still really like it though. The stand to make her hover was a very nice touch.

Yeah, some figures are hit or miss, and some design choices could be better. I wish the hood was a separate sculpt from the face. Then you recess the face into the hood more or just remove it for customs. I guess they are just following the typical design of this character going back to the animation and what the Classics did a bit. There's always room for improvement with this stuff. I wish she had more energy accessories for magic like I showed with other figure effects in the review. But I do like the new articulation added under her cloak and the stand they provided to make her look like she is floating!

Some people absolutely hate a core coming in to the Masterverse line and they look very much to the Original source material but in the Masterverse style. Other people can't stand when they make any changes to those core characters in the line. It's a hard balance to keep everyone happy with this line that grew up with the Vintage stuff or Got into the Classics.

There's always the Classics which costs Thousands of dollars now to collect all of those figures on ebay. The Masterverse gives people a chance to collect highly articulated seven inch and Well detailed Modern MOTU figures that kind of fit in with the Classics but yet a new design.
On a par with Classics. I agree the Classics one has better colours (as so often ). The Masterverse one brings some other advantages (e.g. no/less visible joints on the important spots). Thanks for the review 👍.
Thanks for taking the time to watch the review! The classics line and figures will be one the best lines to me going back to that vintage nastalgia with those 80s figures I grew up with, but more modernized with the adult collectors in mind. However, the Masterverse counter part core figures like Shadow Weaver are cheaper options and hold up good against the Classics, depending on the figure and designs. I like the colors on the Classics figures better, but I like the Pinless joints better with the Masterverse figures, as you mentioned as well👍

Oh wow, they actually put “The Evil Horde” logo on the back, in addition to the “Princess of Power” logo on the front. Did they do that for the Masterverse Hordak? I don’t remember. Anyway, Shadow Weaver looks awesome! I don’t see any issues with her whatsoever. Looks to be the best figure in that wave. Now all we need is a Shadow Weaver in Origins, dang it! 😀
Yes, I think the evil Horde logo was on the back of the Hordaks box with Shadow image of Grizzlor and Leech. This Shadow Weaver figure was done really well for the Masterverse. She's very simple with design! I like that! So many people want a Shadow Weaver in Origins, including myself! I can feel one coming soon👍
We need Origins version of these POP characters already. Why we havent gotten any other than She-ra? 🤔 I like this one. Now we can have a battle with Sorceress of Grayskull Evil-Lyn vs. Shadow Weaver! 😁
Yes, I would love to see more POP characters in the Origins line. If the line survives long enough, I'm sure we will see more of those characters like Shadow Weaver in the Origins. It's cool to see these core characters in the Masterverse line👍

They become an obstacle for characters, but rarely hurt anyone. Megatron, Clone Wars villains. * Punchers. They wil slam heroes against floor and walls and will destroy the surroundings that way. DC comics villains, agents in The Matrix. * Lethal. Whoever sees the villain dies. Darth Vader, Predator, Aliens. Ithink this character belongs to the harasser type.
Interesting character types! Your list sounds similar to clans in the final fantasy game. My buddy plays that a lot. I've been over his house watching those different group types. This Shadow Weaver figure or character fits in well with other figures series or types.

Absolutely! You really can't do too much more with this figure by going off the original concept or design. Aside from adding energy effects and other accessories. But aside from that, She looks great and was designed well for this Masterverse line😁👌💯

However, it looks better and gives her that floating effect! I think you'll like this figure in hand once you can pick her up! Take your time on the Man-e-faces review! Great review as always…I gotta say this looks like a solid figure I do prefer both the classics and filmation over this looks wise, but I think Mattel went above and beyond with weaver with accessories and the stand. The figure was always limited compared to regular figures so glad Mattel put in all the extra details. I may grab her

I, too, will always prefer the classics figures over Masterverse because of the Nastalgia, and they they remind me of those vintage figures I grew up with but more modernized for the adult collector. However, some of the Masterverse figures are designed better with the articulation, certain accessories, cost, and even certain face sculpts. I think this New Shadow Weaver is a good example of that. The classics one is still very cool. But I really like this new design for Shadow Weaver👍

The classics figure is awesome, of course! I like the spell book and color of her robe with that figure. This one has some interesting articulation and a cloth cape, which I like better. They are both great figures in their own way!
@Derrick O'Rourke It does have more of the cartoon influence than the Classics. But the classics were also influenced by the cartoon and vintage figure.

Thanks for watching the review! Yeah they a great job on this Masterverse version of Shadow Weaver! I get these figures early for a higher cost to review ahead of time on my channel from the paulmart store online. He sometimes gets early distribution samples or stuff in hand from the warehouses a month or two before the main distribution happens to retailers. He only gets limited quantities and sells for a higher cost. That's where I find certain Masterverse and sometimes Origins early. Other times, I find figures on eBay from overseas.

Thanks for checking out the review! I would say she is a little big to mix with the Origins figures. I guess it all depends on what you're looking for with your setup. You can visualize this Shadow Weaver as a tall, cloaked witch within the Origins line. But if you're looking for proper scaling. Then she is a little too tall.

I watched both the He-man and She-ra cartoon asxa kid too. I only remember seeing Shadow Weaver a couple times. As far as figures. I believe the vintage line made her. Also the Mattel Classics , Super7 Club Greyskull and now the Masterverse finnaly made a Shadow Weaver figure as you seen in this review. She is a very popular and highly wanted figure.

It's very difficult to make a figure out of plastic look perfect to the box art. I don't mind the overall look personally. But I appreciate you view and feedback on this figure👍

She's coming out and being found in the California area. But I'm not sure what's going on with retail or places like BBTS yet! The Masters of the universe are very strange sometimes to know when they are gonna show up in common places. Right now, most of the stuff is on eBay.
She came out really cool! Do you mean the wand with the green Orb on top? It goes back to filmation. I think we're that Magic Wand would turn colors with certain spells! Green was one of them.
This one is an easy pass. Never liked her. Cross Orko with the Wicked Witch from The Wizard Of Oz & you get Shadow Weaver. 😒👎 It pisses me off that they made this character but not Motherboard. Hopefully, Motherboard will play a big part in Revolution & they'll eventually make a figure of her.
The core characters are the ones that always sell the best! They proved that in the Classics line. When they create a whole new character in the Motu franchise, like some of the never characters, and put them in toy form. They never sell as well as core characters from what I know and read in the comments. Of course, it depends on the design and accessories of that figure. I'm all for new figures and remastered versions of characters like this Shadow Weaver. She is a highly wanted figure going back to the Classics and now extremely expensive to get. So the Masterverse gives people who like the character a fair chance to her to the collection for a lot less money, and she has a better design and articulation over the Classics one. I heard rumors of a mother board and God Evil lyn coming to the Masterverse line later this year. We just have to hope the line sticks around long enough. I heard places like Target and Walmarts will no longer carry Masterverse and Origins after April of this year. They will be sold online. We will see!
@Megatron Leader of The Decpticons Yes, I heard that rumor came from But I did talk with my local Target, and they said they are not gonna stock anymore Motu items in spring. I heard a couple of other people also mention that in the comments with certain stores they spoke with. But the line itself is not ending according to Mattel! I also read that statement. Many items will go online. That's nothing new. We will see in during the summer what the outcome is. I just go day by day with this stuff.
So you named your channel man child. If I am told I am a man child for collecting toys, I would tell that person that children do not play with toys anymore. Kids use screens so I would advise that person to stop using screens because only a manchild would use them.

The Man Child name is kind of a joke but true. When I was about 23, I started collecting action figures like spawn and military figures. That was around 1998. My father just died, and a little switch went off in me, and I started collecting. Older guys and other people who found out about my collection called me a Man Child or the Man Child as a joke but also serious. It wasn't until the mid-2000s that adult toy collecting started becoming more popular and normal. That's where we are today👌
@@Themanchlid Board games also went up a few notches in quality. My wife bought the She-Ra expansion box just for the miniatures and they are gorgeous. Very well sculpted. If you are a fan of Star Wars, for example, The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebellion are a must have. Of course you would say that $100 for a base box of Rebellion is too much, but it has 153 miniatures.

They are really cool looking. They make a bunch of the Vintage inspired figures for that game. I saw them on ebay.
The Super7 one is cool. But it's more on the simple side because its based of her design in the filmation cartoon. This Masterverse Shadow Weaver has a mix of the filmation and Classics design.

Hey whats up man! I think you should display her out of package floating on the base they give you. That's what did. She really stands out. I did get the new evil lyn and Man at arms as well. I made a short tour Update video the other day and showed both those figures. I haven't really been doing to many complex figure reviews because my health and chronic Pain has been a mess. I having a lot trouble sitting up and using my hand to long. Plus headaches, no sleep. Stuff like that. I might try to review the Man at arms at some point. Thanks for stopping in to check out the review! The Masterverse and Origins distribution to retailers has been a mess from day one. Ever since covid came along, it changed the whole world on how certain products and manufacturing works from China..The Masters of the Universe lines happen to be one of those products that has been very sketchy on when certain waves or figures are being manufactured and distributed to stores. Even Mattel admitted they don't always have control when these figures come into ports and warehouses. I think the Factorys have production schedules and time frames. But because of high costs, workers are still becoming ill with Covid and other issues, They run a limited production of figures at first. So then some get in the USA and certain toy sellers who go to Toy shows or indoor distribution auctions find some of these figures early. Two places are Frank's and sons in California and an online store called the Paulmart store. Thats were we get them. But they are marked up and in very limited supply. Once these people get these figures. It's usually another month or two for the factories to catch up on more production runs and get those to other USA retailers.
All the more reason to chalk-up _Convid 1984_ as being the MASSIVE EXAGGERATION that it was.. > Chinese Factories never pushed out more Toys (at least up until that point). What A Tell! An allegedly that's where it originated. Huh? What A coincidence... This Corrupt Govt Closed down America (meanwhile Mexico, & Sweden, or was it Norway they didn't change A thing & had no problems). Yet, In America Only Liquor stores, Some Fast Food, Gas stations, Grocery stores & Walmart's were "legal" to be open. What A Joke! All Lies disguised as _"Mandates"-_ used to trick citizens into staying home. _"Watch TV & be scared."_ While they killed off Small businesses & Got more Rich! And if ya remember in the 90's, early 2000's in American Schools- they told/ taught us in HEALTH CLASS- _If you wanna be healthy, ya need to eat healthy, oxygenate & excercise._ Yet during "the Planned Demonic" [they] told everyone to _"Mask up"_ (not breathe fresh air), as they shut down parks, beaches, playgrounds, fitness centers & gyms. I.e. THE DIRECT OPPOSITE OF WHAT THEY TAUGHT US IN HIGH SCHOOL *(unbelievable).* While Occasionaly Arresting & fining "mandate -Law- breakers". Many who are now suing Law Enforcement for violating protected constitutional rights. Unreal! An that was just A year or so back if ya remember... Corrupt Ran America, buried our rights 🇺🇸 & turned the USA into #ClownWorld An that's only half of the story.

Great review as always…I gotta say this looks like a solid figure I do prefer both the classics and filmation over this looks wise, but I think Mattel went above and beyond with weaver with accessories and the stand. The figure was always limited compared to regular figures so glad Mattel put in all the extra details. I may grab her

I, too, will always prefer the classics figures over Masterverse because of the Nastalgia, and they they remind me of those vintage figures I grew up with but more modernized for the adult collector. However, some of the Masterverse figures are designed better with the articulation, certain accessories, cost, and even certain face sculpts. I think this New Shadow Weaver is a good example of that. The classics one is still very cool. But I really like this new design for Shadow Weaver👍

The classics figure is awesome, of course! I like the spell book and color of her robe with that figure. This one has some interesting articulation and a cloth cape, which I like better. They are both great figures in their own way!

Thanks for watching the review! Yeah they a great job on this Masterverse version of Shadow Weaver! I get these figures early for a higher cost to review ahead of time on my channel from the paulmart store online. He sometimes gets early distribution samples or stuff in hand from the warehouses a month or two before the main distribution happens to retailers. He only gets limited quantities and sells for a higher cost. That's where I find certain Masterverse and sometimes Origins early. Other times, I find figures on eBay from overseas.

One burning question I have...does Masterverse Shadow Weaver scale Ok with the Origins figures? It would be cool to add her to my Origins Evil Horde shelf.
Thanks for checking out the review! I would say she is a little big to mix with the Origins figures. I guess it all depends on what you're looking for with your setup. You can visualize this Shadow Weaver as a tall, cloaked witch within the Origins line. But if you're looking for proper scaling. Then she is a little too tall.

My son Austin watched He_man and She_ra all the time. I recall Shadow Weaver's horase voice, ha. Is this the first time being made for her?
I watched both the He-man and She-ra cartoon asxa kid too. I only remember seeing Shadow Weaver a couple times. As far as figures. I believe the vintage line made her. Also the Mattel Classics , Super7 Club Greyskull and now the Masterverse finnaly made a Shadow Weaver figure as you seen in this review. She is a very popular and highly wanted figure.
I have a complete collection of original motu and I gotta say ALL the new releases are so much better! That's just my opinion!!

I think the Classics line was one of the best series. But the Masterverse and Origins are definitely great lines as well👍
Mattel did a much better job with Shadow Weaver than Hasbro did with D&D Venger.
I'm not familiar with Hasbro Venger. But They did a nice job on this figure for the Masterverse line👌

I wished the figure looked as good as the box art.
It's very difficult to make a figure out of plastic look perfect to the box art. I don't mind the overall look personally. But I appreciate you view and feedback on this figure👍

When does Shadow Weaver come out?
She's coming out and being found in the California area. But I'm not sure what's going on with retail or places like BBTS yet! The Masters of the universe are very strange sometimes to know when they are gonna show up in common places. Right now, most of the stuff is on eBay.

She came out really cool! Do you mean the wand with the green Orb on top? It goes back to filmation. I think we're that Magic Wand would turn colors with certain spells! Green was one of them.

This one is an easy pass. Never liked her. Cross Orko with the Wicked Witch from The Wizard Of Oz & you get Shadow Weaver. 😒👎
It pisses me off that they made this character but not Motherboard. Hopefully, Motherboard will play a big part in Revolution & they'll eventually make a figure of her.
The core characters are the ones that always sell the best! They proved that in the Classics line. When they create a whole new character in the Motu franchise, like some of the never characters, and put them in toy form. They never sell as well as core characters from what I know and read in the comments. Of course, it depends on the design and accessories of that figure. I'm all for new figures and remastered versions of characters like this Shadow Weaver. She is a highly wanted figure going back to the Classics and now extremely expensive to get. So the Masterverse gives people who like the character a fair chance to her to the collection for a lot less money, and she has a better design and articulation over the Classics one.
I heard rumors of a mother board and God Evil lyn coming to the Masterverse line later this year. We just have to hope the line sticks around long enough. I heard places like Target and Walmarts will no longer carry Masterverse and Origins after April of this year. They will be sold online. We will see!

But I did talk with my local Target, and they said they are not gonna stock anymore Motu items in spring. I heard a couple of other people also mention that in the comments with certain stores they spoke with. But the line itself is not ending according to Mattel! I also read that statement. Many items will go online. That's nothing new. We will see in during the summer what the outcome is. I just go day by day with this stuff.

If I am told I am a man child for collecting toys, I would tell that person that children do not play with toys anymore. Kids use screens so I would advise that person to stop using screens because only a manchild would use them.

The Man Child name is kind of a joke but true. When I was about 23, I started collecting action figures like spawn and military figures. That was around 1998. My father just died, and a little switch went off in me, and I started collecting. Older guys and other people who found out about my collection called me a Man Child or the Man Child as a joke but also serious. It wasn't until the mid-2000s that adult toy collecting started becoming more popular and normal. That's where we are today👌
@@Themanchlid Board games also went up a few notches in quality. My wife bought the She-Ra expansion box just for the miniatures and they are gorgeous. Very well sculpted.
If you are a fan of Star Wars, for example, The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebellion are a must have. Of course you would say that $100 for a base box of Rebellion is too much, but it has 153 miniatures.

That board game you are referring to sounds like battle for Eternia with those pieces. They are really cool looking. They make a bunch of the Vintage inspired figures for that game. I saw them on ebay.

The Super7 one is cool. But it's more on the simple side because its based of her design in the filmation cartoon. This Masterverse Shadow Weaver has a mix of the filmation and Classics design.

@@culeroconnor1686 Yep I totally agree! The Classics are always one ofcthe most liked Motu lines. But they are now very expensive to get on the second hand market like Ebay. The Masterverse is the next best thing. They are more affordable and have better articulation like you mentioned👍

Hey whats up man! I think you should display her out of package floating on the base they give you. That's what did. She really stands out. I did get the new evil lyn and Man at arms as well. I made a short tour Update video the other day and showed both those figures. I haven't really been doing to many complex figure reviews because my health and chronic Pain has been a mess. I having a lot trouble sitting up and using my hand to long. Plus headaches, no sleep. Stuff like that. I might try to review the Man at arms at some point. But I have to film in pieces and take break. I hope your doing well bro👍

Thanks for stopping in to check out the review! The Masterverse and Origins distribution to retailers has been a mess from day one. Ever since covid came along, it changed the whole world on how certain products and manufacturing works from China..The Masters of the Universe lines happen to be one of those products that has been very sketchy on when certain waves or figures are being manufactured and distributed to stores. Even Mattel admitted they don't always have control when these figures come into ports and warehouses. I think the Factorys have production schedules and time frames. But because of high costs, workers are still becoming ill with Covid and other issues, They run a limited production of figures at first. So then some get in the USA and certain toy sellers who go to Toy shows or indoor distribution auctions find some of these figures early. Two places are Frank's and sons in California and an online store called the Paulmart store. Thats were we get them. But they are marked up and in very limited supply. Once these people get these figures. It's usually another month or two for the factories to catch up on more production runs and get those to other USA retailers.
All the more reason to chalk-up _Convid 1984_ as being the MASSIVE EXAGGERATION that it was..
