  • Join me on my Harley Davidson Street Glide Special as I ride to Geelong Bike Night and checkout the fantastic looking motorcycles.
We probe the self confidence of Harley riders at the event and look into the question: Are the pirates more self confident than the power rangers?
This was an awesome event as usual but ended with my inflated ego being punctured in the most savage way.

25 years Australian military service instilled a very strong self confidence attitude in all my endeavors, some life or death......but mostly really good life skills and decision making abilities...that's why I ride a Kawaka Vulcan ☠😉

Having traveled around Australia for many years working driving trucks without confidence I would never have gotten work ,like going into the local pub and talking to the locals you have met for the first time finding out if there was any work going who to speak to where to go so for me confidence is key

Since I've been avoiding carbs (not the Mikuni or Del'Lorto variety), avoiding sugars and eating more proteins (I'm a Porterhouse steak addict!) and getting some vitamin D, some probiotics and registering myself as a professional Harley Davidson rider, my self confidence has improved a lot. But none of that would actually work if I didn't listen to Aymen every Sunday evening when he imparts his words of wisdom on his YouBute channel. Did I mention that all of that stuff actually works?

Sorry, I'm a bit late to the party! This was a good one. I think self confidence is something you develop. It's a quiet confidence in who you are that helps you carry yourself through whatever life throws your way. It's not ego. And it's not about being cocky either. I definitely think it's something you get when you step outside of the crowd. Be careful following the masses...the "m" is often silent ;)

Loved the clip, one of my most favourite clips / subjects. For myself, I remember at a very young age when entering the work force I thought to myself, "f**K It" I have everything to learn & gain. I knew I wanted to push myself as I had nothing to loose. Believe me I was an incredibly shy farming young man. I knew if you do something enough times you will build into being confident in what ever you are doing. Self talk is a big one as well. Also agree with you Aymen, focus on the positives than what you did wrong. We will all make mistakes. If we didn't learn to fall when learning to walk from a baby we would have never walked, then ran. We are all nervous when we first start something, after time this goes. Like with Resurgence Gear. I know I offer the best premium gear on the market. I'll walk into a store with this in mind. A store may turn me down, however I'm thinking you fool you just missed out on the best gear around & see it as there loss than mine. A lot of the time is timing as well. They may of had a bad day or they had just brought on another brand, or loyal to a company / brand which I respect. I just keep going back as a familiar face & this builds trust, friendship (which is huge for me). To the point they realise wow this guy is still going, never giving up, I got to try this brand. Keep up the great work Aymen. Loving the content & subjects!

I always look forward to your new vids and this one hits home. I believe that routine is key to self confidence. I saw a video a couple of years ago where a high ranking soldier was addressing cadets. He said the most important thing to do each day is … make your bed! It got a big laugh from the cadets but he went on to describe the importance of discipline and routine and having pride in what you do, even in the small things.
I love the content of your vids and how you simplify how the mind works and how to get it to work for you and not against you. Especially when it involves dressing up as a pirate 😄

Great video Aymen, really enjoyed seeing all bikes, and the footage of the ride down to Geelong. Hearing peoples stories about being confident was very interesting. Not sure about the womans whispered comment at the end? I guess that was a demonstration of lack of confidence........ not being able to own up to what you think. Keep the videos coming please. Creating good options and making good choices in your life builds confidence. A few bad ones along the way is just part of the learning process, to not repeat mistakes. Dressing for the slide, not the ride, builds confidence. Confidence doing this comes from road rash, be it on a road bicycle or road motorcycle. A mistake never worth repeating. I don't want to go down on my bike, but, if I do, I'm confident my hide/skin is pretty well protected.

"There are fuckwits in this world?" That's from Socrates, isn't it? She's a real philosopher.
I don't have much self-confidence because of the way I grew up. A bad enough childhood can stop anybody from developing confidence. We all feel stepped-on from time to time, but how often it happens as a kid and who it is that steps on you will have lasting effects throughout life. Who - if anybody - is on your side means a lot, too. In any case, we're all out here riding because it's fun and makes life seem okay for awhile. Throttle therapy! You don't need to be an extrovert to enjoy that.

Speaking of self-confidence or lacking thereof, ever since Harley took away one of the fuel caps I don't know which side to pull in to fuel up. Do I stretch the hose over the petro tank or pull in next to the fuel pump looking rather awkward compared to the past. Maybe I'm not looking for self-confidence but less compulsiveness. I think the camera/ youtube has ruined all socal events. no one can have any kind of an experience/ memory anymore, they've got to have a camera documenting every aspect of their life from what they ate to what the shit looked like the next day.
80% of people that attend bike shit do it to sell you something or put you on youtube. its f$%king discussing and it's why I don't attend most of that shit anymore.
