Harley rider FAILS the self confidence test

- Join me on my Harley Davidson Street Glide Special as I ride to Geelong Bike Night and checkout the fantastic looking motorcycles.
We probe the self confidence of Harley riders at the event and look into the question: Are the pirates more self confident than the power rangers?
This was an awesome event as usual but ended with my inflated ego being punctured in the most savage way.

25 years Australian military service instilled a very strong self confidence attitude in all my endeavors, some life or death......but mostly really good life skills and decision making abilities...that's why I ride a Kawaka Vulcan ☠😉
Yeah that's one major positive from being in any of the services
Having traveled around Australia for many years working driving trucks without confidence I would never have gotten work ,like going into the local pub and talking to the locals you have met for the first time finding out if there was any work going who to speak to where to go so for me confidence is key
Awesome thanks
Since I've been avoiding carbs (not the Mikuni or Del'Lorto variety), avoiding sugars and eating more proteins (I'm a Porterhouse steak addict!) and getting some vitamin D, some probiotics and registering myself as a professional Harley Davidson rider, my self confidence has improved a lot. But none of that would actually work if I didn't listen to Aymen every Sunday evening when he imparts his words of wisdom on his YouBute channel. Did I mention that all of that stuff actually works?
Lol, thank you
Sorry, I'm a bit late to the party! This was a good one. I think self confidence is something you develop. It's a quiet confidence in who you are that helps you carry yourself through whatever life throws your way. It's not ego. And it's not about being cocky either. I definitely think it's something you get when you step outside of the crowd. Be careful following the masses...the "m" is often silent ;)
Great video mate....some really interesting and home hitting content among people everywhere! Confidence for me is something that comes from self belief. You need to believe you can do it...have a go...and the rest is history! Ride safe mate 😎
Thank you
Great motorcycle content almost always mixed with excellent life advice, well-edited and well-scored. You deserve many more subscribers, Aymen.
Much appreciated!
Loved the clip, one of my most favourite clips / subjects. For myself, I remember at a very young age when entering the work force I thought to myself, "f**K It" I have everything to learn & gain. I knew I wanted to push myself as I had nothing to loose. Believe me I was an incredibly shy farming young man. I knew if you do something enough times you will build into being confident in what ever you are doing. Self talk is a big one as well. Also agree with you Aymen, focus on the positives than what you did wrong. We will all make mistakes. If we didn't learn to fall when learning to walk from a baby we would have never walked, then ran. We are all nervous when we first start something, after time this goes. Like with Resurgence Gear. I know I offer the best premium gear on the market. I'll walk into a store with this in mind. A store may turn me down, however I'm thinking you fool you just missed out on the best gear around & see it as there loss than mine. A lot of the time is timing as well. They may of had a bad day or they had just brought on another brand, or loyal to a company / brand which I respect. I just keep going back as a familiar face & this builds trust, friendship (which is huge for me). To the point they realise wow this guy is still going, never giving up, I got to try this brand. Keep up the great work Aymen. Loving the content & subjects!
Thanks again Aaron, you have a lot of reasons to be confident
I don’t ride, however I do follow your videos. My mum rides and I’ve seen her self confidence through riding and life increase two fold.
Personally I find self confidence in setting and achieving small goals, then increasing those goals to bigger goals and achieving them.
Another great video 😊
Thanks Kelly
Thanks for the video! The people that would talk with you where winners they was beating the odds! Which over here in the USA we have had several generations of parents not being parents and we now are in deep trouble if things don’t change IMO. I think it’s Great that you are doing video’s to lift up people to inspire them that life is to live and to take care of themselves by health physical and mental they truly work hand in hand with each other. Ride safe Sir!
I only found your channel yesterday, but this video hits different.
Approaching a sensitive and life changing topic through the riding lifestyle we all share. Great stuff 💪
I always look forward to your new vids and this one hits home. I believe that routine is key to self confidence. I saw a video a couple of years ago where a high ranking soldier was addressing cadets. He said the most important thing to do each day is … make your bed! It got a big laugh from the cadets but he went on to describe the importance of discipline and routine and having pride in what you do, even in the small things.
I love the content of your vids and how you simplify how the mind works and how to get it to work for you and not against you. Especially when it involves dressing up as a pirate 😄
Lol thanks, I think I know the video you are talking about and I agree.
My self confidence comes from my upbringing. Get it done and do it right the first time. On the bike 245,000 miles and still focused on learning and improving.
Thanks, that's great
Those Sunglasses suited you 😎I’ll buy a couple bags of confidence off you 🤣
Lol
Great content and a fabulous mindset. Thank you. I've worked in many positions in both the military and civilian world. Your messages were big coaching points of the lifestyle and thought process necessary to be successful.
Thank you
Great video Aymen, really enjoyed seeing all bikes, and the footage of the ride down to Geelong. Hearing peoples stories about being confident was very interesting. Not sure about the womans whispered comment at the end? I guess that was a demonstration of lack of confidence........ not being able to own up to what you think. Keep the videos coming please. I have learnt a lot from watching them
Thanks Wendy, always good at Geelong bike night
😎👍
Big thumbs up for the channel...
Sorry I missed this the other day...
It only came out 2 hours ago, there seems to be some glitch which is unfortunate
@@OldNotDead-Club Oh good I thought I really messed up...
I just doubled checket.. says it posted 2d ago...
Great video Aymen,
Couple of familiar faces there lol...
I’ve rewatched this several times taking in your advice.
🌸💕
Thanks Claire, glad its helped and thanks for watching

Excellent content Aymen , some awesome bikes down In Geelong and a well run bike arvo
My thoughts on self confidence in life is what doesn’t killyou has the ability to make you stronger
Depending on how you view the lessons the put downs ive recives in my life has shaped me to prove others opinions invalid and increase my self confidence , just lessons we have a choice always !
Thanks again Karyn
I like the music in the background. Love it.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it
That's one of the many reasons that I ride ot to Tail Of The Dragon twice a season, for the tight turns on a 900 Ultra :) it used to scare the crap out of me, now it's my happy place :P
Yep lots of fun!
Thanks Aymen.
Thanks for watching
Got no confidence in myself, rid'in, life & especially with speaking either privately or publicly....
NEVER catch me on camera.
May all your days be Harley days
💪🖤🧡🖤💪
Safe travels 🙏♥️🐾🐾🇦🇺
You have a lot of reasons to be confident
Nice one. Keep it up Aymen.
Safe rides 👍🤜
im 76 now been riding for 45 years l ride a 2023 fat boy great bike l still have confindence in myself and my machine.
Well done, great to hear
This is a really good video, so thanks for that.
Fantastic as usual !! Thx
Thank you
Creating good options and making good choices in your life builds confidence. A few bad ones along the way is just part of the learning process, to not repeat mistakes. Dressing for the slide, not the ride, builds confidence. Confidence doing this comes from road rash, be it on a road bicycle or road motorcycle. A mistake never worth repeating. I don't want to go down on my bike, but, if I do, I'm confident my hide/skin is pretty well protected.
Power Ranger, err, no!
Sports/Naked rider, yes.
Full face helmet gives me confidence and feeling ofsecurity that the helmet choice may save my head/face becoming a mangled mess, hell forbid I'm not bucked off. 🙄🩼🩺🏥
Confidence status? Depends on the situation, resulting in a multiple question/answer scenario...
An aging, non power ranger stereo type, with a sliding scale Confidence factor. ✌🏽 👌🏽
Annie, 😎✌🏽🏍
Old, but not dead. ⚡️
Thanks Annie
@@OldNotDead-Club 😝✌🏽 you're welcome 😎🏍
Another great vid 😎👍🏻😜
Thanks mate
Living in the U.K. means’ Riding 10k more a year’ and ‘ Riding 10k more in the rain ‘ are synonymous 😂
Lol
Power rangers treat riding like Halloween. They love dressing up in their power rangers costumes as much as they love riding,
Lol
Yeah, I hate putting on the Johnny Rebs, leather vest, Willy-G belt and black helmet before throwing my leg over my Heritage… oh wait… hmmm 🤔😋
great video ,interesting topic x
Thank you!
A very good and interesting topic. I liked the video.
Thanks for watching
Very insightful! Great channel
Much appreciated!
"There are fuckwits in this world?" That's from Socrates, isn't it? She's a real philosopher.
I don't have much self-confidence because of the way I grew up. A bad enough childhood can stop anybody from developing confidence. We all feel stepped-on from time to time, but how often it happens as a kid and who it is that steps on you will have lasting effects throughout life. Who - if anybody - is on your side means a lot, too. In any case, we're all out here riding because it's fun and makes life seem okay for awhile. Throttle therapy! You don't need to be an extrovert to enjoy that.
A nice video it shows there’s beautiful people out there ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Experince make me rich in those 37 years of riding bikes.
Thanks
That looks like a great night. Gold plated advice.
You handled that blonds comment really well. That comment if I felt it was directed at me, actually would make me leave and not come back. Lack of confidence and a thin skin I guess.
Love your work
Thank you!
Power rangers?? Lmfaoff 🤣🤣 hilarious..
Lol
Please restock your t-shirts and consider some tall size long sleeve items. I’m tired of sleeves shrinking. Thanks
Should be restocked by the weekend... we are waiting patiently

Speaking of self-confidence or lacking thereof, ever since Harley took away one of the fuel caps I don't know which side to pull in to fuel up. Do I stretch the hose over the petro tank or pull in next to the fuel pump looking rather awkward compared to the past. Maybe I'm not looking for self-confidence but less compulsiveness. Thanks mate great video Dan from US 🇺🇸
Mine is in the middle and I still have that problem lol
My last 8 years of working fucked my confidence as lost job every year due to companies running out of work,I always got the hard jobs the other blokes couldn't do and when I finished it I'd get the chop while the others that could only do the easy stuff kept their job wtf.Best thing I did was leave Melbourne and move regional for different lifestyle my mental health and confidence has improved 100%, And better riding motorcycles Sport Glide on country roads
Should only squat till your upper legs are horizontal to the ground, any lower Brother puts strain on the lower back. Need any training, let me know lol
Yeah but I need the hip flexibility, deep squat works really well
Say what, the deeper the squat the better, but yes you need to use all relevant muscles.
I had a spinal fusion, and learned which muscles to use to support your back.
@@OldNotDead-Club to open your hips up more squat with you legs 2 shoulder widths apart, feet straight forward and simply drop down with your knees apart, improves hip flexibility , in TKD it's called a horse riding stance. Also excellent for strength in the outer upper thighs
@@robertholland7558 yes injuries have a tendency to make you much more aware of your body, I accidently shot myself at 17 and have a 22 slug in my left ankle, but 40 years of Martial Arts taught me to train my body to compensate, and made me confront my inadequacies
@@ericshingles Thanks
Two quotes I like on this topic.
Confidence is going after Moby Dick in a rowboat and taking tartar sauce with you.
Censorship reflects a society's lack of confidence in itself.
I know that no matter how miserably I may fail God as is always there as his love for us all.
Well hopefully you have plenty of happy days
🙏🇦🇺
Thanks
Discipline develops real confidence, do a real martial art :)
Lol I thought Harley riding was a martial art?
@@OldNotDead-Clubsure it is an art, in order to ride, but martial?
@@OldNotDead-Club can be lol

If you dont ask the question you will never know the answer! Always ask......book of bruce chp4 verse 1.... i find a lot of people are shy, how are you going mate ? Its loosing its impact in this modern world.
I don't want to put words in your mouth, but it seems like your saying if you dont want to be in a shity youtube video you lack confidence? Well thats a new measure bow isnt it? these guys could own their own businesses, jump out of airplains, and speak to groups about cancer on the weekends but....
Lol, well you are putting words in my mouth, so don't!
@OldNotDead-Club rewatch your video, or most of them. the mechine makes the man, youtube is great ect.... I think the camera/ youtube has ruined all socal events. no one can have any kind of an experience/ memory anymore, they've got to have a camera documenting every aspect of their life from what they ate to what the shit looked like the next day.
80% of people that attend bike shit do it to sell you something or put you on youtube. its f$%king discussing and it's why I don't attend most of that shit anymore.
so rather or not if im not putting words in your mouth your part of the problem, putting a camera in everyones face you meat. so here's so confidence for you f$%k off.
I don’t think it is a case of confidence, but paranoia on what is done with the video material.
@robertholland7558 or its just tired of everywhere you go ....
Make Harley go faster, buy a different bike……………
