Goddamn, I've already seen this series once before on Winter's channel, but couldn't help but watch it again. That control in the first game is fucking insane. I think 99/100 games end with that opener, but Stats was just absurdly clean. Both players played admirably, but it would be hella demoralizing to have your enemy on the ropes multiple games in a row and have them fight tooth and nail back to victory.
Harstem been doing it, he build the proxy base behind those mineral lines, put a stalker there to stop SCV from mining them out, and stargate voidrays Tempests

About the Immortal-recalling-to-Aiur thing, iirc they're called Immortals because they've been saved from death twice: once as a Zealot recalled put into a Dragoon, and another being moved from a damaged Dragoon to an Immortal.
It was like watching someone take an entire round of punches only to end it with one counter punch with the force of a truck.

STATS IS THE SHEILD OF AIUR YOU CANT BREAK HIM!!! Insane micro he feels so much stronger now and has his killer sense back. Cant wait to have some more crazy Protoss games. Stats is probably my second fave over hero now, I mean…too many all army hot keys.
You know the games approaching BW level of refinement when 90% of the balance updates are simply the map pool.
I was worried a couple years ago when things got turned over to the Balance Counsel that the game was the gasping for air... I feel pretty darn good about the state of the game.
A series so good I watched it twice. Lowko's commentary more insightful then Tasteless and State's.

I thought it would be impossible to come back from this, but once again Starcraft 2 surpassed all my expectations.
Disgusting, I lost my will to watch the remaining games after the first one and I am going to watch something non-starcraft.
As much as I don't like Stats' passivity, he's a surgeon with how precise and flawless he plays

Sneaking in through the backdoor on the first map seems like it would just take too long for professional play. Now, I'd definitely fall for it, but I'm certifiably terrible.

My respect to Shin for his thoughtfull strategies. Though he missses something to be the best zerg like Dark or Serral(sheer speed i guess), he clearly would kill almost eveery single opponent with his cheeses.

I believe in the second round Serral would have had double the amount of creep, SHIN seems to kind of stop spreading creep (no wonder, from my amateur point of view, the top level players' APM is just ridiculous). I think SHIN lost twice due to impatience, pushing too much. Nice match, anyways, thanks to both players and Lowko!

Your commentary on the immortal at the end of the first game gave me a thought: What if making immortals in-game required giving up a zealot? The idea being you are sending an injured zealot back to Aiur to be placed into an Immortal shell?

I dunno, I feel like both games came down to Shin just completely throwing hard - and hilariously enough for the exact same reason both times.
Should have gotten Queens instead of that baneling nest in game 1, would have helped close the gap and put more pressure on with the creep spread and then WTF was that last attack in game 2 spending so much gas on banes. Sure he got the mineral line but who cares when you have a huge army at your front door that's at least 2 full upgrades ahead of you?!

ur gonna see a lot more yolo zerg players now that zerg has been nerfed due to serral. unless ur serrals or the minimum darks level of skill....ur best bet is to end the game before it gets to the late game.
