Yes sir they are awesome to see especially in person. I couldn't believe how heavy the king buck was when I picked it up. I wished now I had gotten really into detail with the guy on every single deer in his collection instead of get the run thru... One buck that really impressed me was the second head he showed. It original was a dead head with most of its velvet still attached. They removed the velvet before donating it to this mans collection. Every point on that deer was almost needle sharp all the way down to the burrs around the bases. I agree with water displacement. Natural growth with no spread measurement and no deductions... Our personal big buck contest is measured with total plus counting spread with no deductions. It just makes things simpler.
Your welcome. He was a really cool guy that not only has a awesome collection but has all the details that go with each one. Great guy and this was a great trip. Thanks for watching.
He sure had a great collection of bucks with some detailed history behind them. That 6 point was a bruiser. video didnt do justice to what he looked like in person. God Bless my friend
Thank you my friend. Glad you enjoyed it. I hope one day I can make it to Canada. Even if its just to visit but hunting is on my bucket list for Canada
Those are some great deer. I couldn't even pick a favorite. I've never shot a white tail but some day maybe. Thanks for sharing I could look at antlers all day!
Jay has a very nice collection. Sounds like me and you are a lot alike. I have never killed a muley but hope to one day. I could look at antlers all day myself. lol. Love your shed hunting videos. By the way did you get my email reply?
He sure is one impressive whitetail. The G3 rule that turned his scoring to non typical was a bad deal and Boone and Crocket knows it. I agree hes the world record typical. Thanks for watching
The next to last buck that he talked about, I actually got a picture of one just like that last year. Of course, mine wasn't as big, but the left side entire rack turned down and went along the jaw line
We have had a few that have had some serious rack issues on our least but nothing like that so far. You get any pictures of that buck send em to me. I love those freak bucks.
I will see if Lowes would let me do a video on one of there machines. Without me knowing someone that owns one to do review on I cant do a review one without test driving it. I will contact my local Lowes and see what they might let me do,
I paused the video when the King buck was being held up. That point, which I guess would be the G-3, looks like it comes off the main beam to me. I know it's close to the G-2 though. Shame us all I can say.
B&C is a politically corrupt joke. King buck is the WR typical. Jack Reneau said that it wasn't. By the B&C scoring system and several of their scorers said it was the world record.
The entire left side came detached from the skull. From the bullet hit and the guy holding the rack when the buck ran off. But as far as broke time. He didn’t say anything about that.
@pineylife I didn't say anything about a tine either. Interesting stuff. I'm surprised they allowed it for any score being that any portion had broken. Thanks again
@oklahomaokie true. The only one that will accept or measure a broken buck or even a velvet buck is buck masters. Boone and Crockett and pope and young. Will not.
I don’t recall what they told me, that was last summer. Sounds like your buddy needs to score that deer and see what the gross and net score is. That might be a record buck for whatever state you’re in.
Cool but just don't understand how that six is a world record...I've seen six's that would make that mount regrow and run away..I'm talking hanging on the wall
The video doesn't do any of the bucks justice. They are a lot more impressive in person. He also didn't say if the 6 point was still the current world record or if it was Boone and crocket, pope and young or Buckmaster. Now looking back I wished I had spent a little more time digging into the stories of each buck. measurements , age , ,location , basically just made a video with each one. especially the 6 and the Johnny king buck. Thanks for watching
No problem I just meat hunt myself..don't get me wrong I'd love to put a hunger on the wall but..I will not or ever hang anything less then high 140s or 50s ..because anything under that isn't worth the money to hang...but that's just my perspective.... shoot striat and keep the love hunting alive regardless of our differences..remember the youth is the next generation if all of us come together hunting will never die....
Never say never brother. You might have a monster lurking in those 16 acres you bought. I remember one time my dad was looking at his big 8 he had on the wall. He said its been 20 years, I will never kill a buck bigger than that one. Next morning he killed one that was 16 inch's bigger. LOL. You never know.
I’ve got video of white tail sheds that would make this guy puke. For sure state record typical set, and probably close to world record, rotting away on some dudes fence as a yard decoration in Washington state.
This video did not do any of these bucks any justice they was much more impressive in person. Holding the Johnny king buck was shocking how heavy it was. Had great story behind it also....Dang man, did you get any of the measured? Either way congrats on some great bucks.
@@pineylife I know the video didn’t do them justice, but anyone that’s spent much time around big bucks can clearly see that this guy has some giants in his collection. I’ve killed some giant deer and elk, however the typical sheds rotting on fence are not mine, I just took video of them, some Mexican dude that worked on a tree farm found them. They’re just rotting on his fence and he wouldn’t part with them.
@@Oregon-airguns Man that's crazy on the sheds rotting. Sounds like a awesome set of sheds. The guy in the video said that most of these are donated to his collection for one reason or another. The king buck has had my attention ever since it was denied the world record as a typical because of the g3 on its right side. But either way a trophy of a lifetime for the younger hunter. Sounds like you have some great animals in your collection also. Congrats.... Elk is at the top of my bucket list. Hopefully in the next few years I will get a chance to hunt one in a different state since our state only allows 5 tags by draw per year. lol. Thanks for watching
I was out driving up in my elk spot in WA, seen a guy out in his yard tinkering away at his truck. It just so happened he had a truck there that was the same as mine, and I was looking for some original parts. I told him what I was looking for and he told me he had that in his barn. When he slid the barn door open I almost fainted. This guy had a wall full of massive, and I mean massive elk racks on his wall. I asked him if he has ever had any of these scores while I was pointing at a set that by quick estimate was a 400 class bull. He said “I don’t care about all that silliness “. He just goes out to his property and takes an elk, and that’s all he cared about. The trophy and the story meant more to him, than it would to anyone else. It made me feel so silly asking him about scoring, and I questioned why I care so much about it. No question though, a few of them would be high in the books.
@@michaelbosisto6259 it’s really about the memories. That’s the best part. That’s pretty cool how that worked out you driving by and then getting to see those monsters. Thanks for sharing

This guy gets it. These real unusual ones are just as interesting as giant typicals.
I agree. I love a crazy rack buck. I have taken a few over the years that are some of my favorites.
@@pineylife I agree that the Johnny king buck is the world record typical whitetail that was some bogus crap that Boone and Crockett pulled
Awesome bucks! That collection is a prime example of why bucks should be scored by water displacement instead of a tape measure!

100%
Well, it's not. For one, it has two tines that share the same base. And two, he shot it in the antler and broke it off.
@@zzz7zzz9 not true. Jack says so but the rules book and many other scorers say different.
With rack breaking off. No way
The King Buck antler broke off and then was reattached? Did I get that correct?

Look at the Damery buck. Same tine issue and they let that in and didn’t deduct for it like they did on the true world record King buck.
