Back in 2020 I was in North Thailand in Chang Ria. I met a guy called Robert who after a few days and many drinks told me that he used to work on one of these boats. He told me that he could never go back to the UK because he was involved in something onboard and people were looking for him. Regarding the yacht anchor...thats not unusual at all. When you're dealing with a ship that large the strain the anchor is under is immense. And with all the other factors sometimes you just put too much on a piece of steel that might have had an unknown defect which happens. The anchor room/winch on any ship is known as one of if not the most dangerous places.
It's even worse if said yachts are docked in Dubai.
