    The level of detail in this series of videos is truly impressive! Your experience is evident in the content of your videos and its generous for u to share. I am not qualified to be a breeder and is something I would not undertake. However, my appreciation level is raised with the sacrifices made to take deep care of the puppies until the day they go to their new home. I have 2 Frenchies I adore and like to continually learn about them. Many Thanks!

    Omg you guys are the best! Thank you for all your tips!!!! My frenchie will soon have her puppies and it’s been super hard for us. It’s our first time doing this! We are dealing with the vet not too many places that they do c-section here in California San Diego.

      These dogs can have a natural birth. Any dog can get puppies stuck. Natural is better more developed puppies and mother eats all the stuff that comes out.

    Question! If mom has a yeast infection can she breast feed??

    I think if you're weighting on the towel it won't weigh right. Try it, you'll get a different reading when it's on hard even floor than you will when it's on a soft surface. So they probably didn't lose as much as you think

    I just had my first self whelping litter, it was a bit nerve racking but mama was amazing and had no issues with birth. Mama has always been on the thinner side but I want to make sure she is getting enough to eat as she is feeding 4 babies. What can I supplement her food with to make sure she is getting enough.

    My dog gave birth, has eclampsia, and the problem is that ever since she was born she was sick and the weakest puppy. She always threw up after a meal. I gave her milk and eggs and a crushed up a pill that had calcium. She threw it all up. I feel like she can't produce enough milk and then the puppies can't eat. I don't know what to do at all.

    I had a pup get its head caught in the cage, since then I tapped cardboard around the whole cage from the floor to 20cm in height to stop this as it can cause serious issues, it stressed the pup so bad its hair started to fall out :( . Great videos guys as always.

      Yes I have seen this There are some cages made of very thin wire. And a small pup can even get all the way thru the wire to outside. And then get cold. So the cardboard strip all the way around is the fix

    One of my female delivered puppies and they died due to some toxins in the milk. I got milk culture done and there Is some bacteria. My question is that can mother milk kill new born puppies if it has some toxins?

      Yes!! Tube feed if there not looking well it will help them bounce back and keep them away from feeding on mom 🙌🏻

    Question????
    I have a 4!day old singleton who gets lots of milk in her nose when nursing WITHOUT cleft pallet. Is this normal?? A good amount comes out to the point I have her separated from mom to be sure I’m watching every feeding with the electric nose suction. She is fat and happy! This is my first frenchie newborn puppy if anyone can help

    • @MaritaVG69
      @MaritaVG69 2 роки тому

      When milk starts coming through the nose she needs to stop nursing immediately or she can aspirate. If milk gets into her lungs, it can kill her. Speak to your vet about this. She might need to be bottle fed with you controlling the size of the hole in the nipple.

      Weigh puppies daily if they are gaining 1/2oz or more all is good. Otherwise supplement with goats milk

  • @MaritaVG69

    They’re nursing upside down. They can aspirate nursing that way. 😮And neither one of them let’s the other finish their sentence before talking over each other. You can hear the competitive overtones between them when they’re trying to explain things. It’s annoying. The video overall is informative but he doesn’t finish one topic before jumping to another topic, not finishing either. A very distracted way of talking and she is kind of sloppy in the way she handles the puppies and in general. She cleans up the poop, cleans the dirt out of the momma dog’s ears then grabs the same poop soiled paper towel to wipe her hands and then proceeds to inspect the surgical site and examine for mastitis. She grabs the nipple with her dirty hands then puts the puppy back on it. I mean… c’mon now. You know what can infect a surgical site pretty quickly?…. Particles of fecal matter. You’re not even supposed to apply any antibiotic cream or ointment cause the area is so sensitive. That’s unsettling when you’re watching this.
