Here’s my vocal and piano cover of Twoson (Boy Meets Girl) from EarthBound/MOTHER 2! This is the first time I’ve made a cover with lyrics that I wrote!

This song is also known as Boy Meets Girl, and/or Theme of Twoson.
While listening to Twoson one day, I sang along, started writing, and ended up with my first cover with original lyrics! I was inspired by Paula and Ness, and wrote lyrics that could be from either of their point of view, or a duet between the two. I also wanted the lyrics to relate to relationships between people who are sticking together and encouraging one another! :)

I love the lyrics, they are in the spirit of the Mother games' ideas about the power of friendship and love. You did a wonderful job capturing the "Mother" feel. It may sound silly and naive, but the ideas from the game are so earnest and sincere you cannot avoid to feel moved by its faith in the goodness of people, even in the darkest times. Thank you Michelle.
I mean this in the nicest way possible: You've managed to write lyrics that are both incredibly sweet and kind while being juuuuuuust cheesy enough to sound like the rest of the earthbound vocal songs. I genuinely thought these were official my first listen. loving it.

A bit late to the party, but Twoson is one of my favourite themes from the game! It's a theme that I often come back to. Typically game music with memorable melodies are the songs that are best complimented with lyrics. Amazing job!

This is astounding!! You did such an amazing job with the words 🥺🥺🥺! The piano was so relaxing as well. This is such a nice cover and the addition of lyrics really tied it all together! The harmonies were also on point but you always deliver with the harmonies :)))
Michelle has this wonderful talent of taking the most simple and straightforward individual components and weaving them into so, so much more. I don't think the heart of the Earthbound series has ever really left me in the last 20 years. Song like Pollyanna, Bein' Friends, Eight Melodies, and Twoson hit me similar but different ways. But they all make me desire a closeness like you feel in those songs. We all know the lyrics are cheesy, but I think that's what makes them even more dear; they are genuine.
