Step one: if you don't have balls, have brains and a backbone.
Step two: if you aren't a man, don't try to act like you are. A woman plays to her strengths.

I don't understand why this series isn't as well known as, lets say, GOT. The writings are insanely well, so are the cast and the acting. I have re-watched every episode multiple times, to relive so many special moments delivered by this series. Brilliant. Loving at the entire series from beginning to current, i would give at least a 4.5/5. Thank you to SHOWTIME for this wonderful series.

I'm going on a limb here and guessing that it's because this show is about corporate deals, pursuit of beneficial stocks, financial risks and aggressive business strategies. It's a topic that's not as easy to stomach for most people because it's quite a complex one. Meanwhile, you don't have to be a data analyst or a stock broker to understand a medieval setting with fantasy elements. And my second reasoning is much more simple - marketing budget (or a lack thereof).

Easy the same why finically education isn’t within the school system! I have seen and known real shot callers who watch this show, finical types etc! If you don’t understand the money it’s power and how to hold that power you will never get this show!

@@simonaspalovis1204 This show isn't that complex lol - it has as much to do with real finance as GoT does with real medieval history.

So glad I didn't give up on this show. I so nearly did because Wendy stuck in the middle of the 2 of them while Chuck was investigating Axe seemed so implausible due to the obvious conflict of interest. Very happy I came back to it especially for greatly written scenes like this.....

I understand the nuance of relying on someones counsel and how long it takes to build trust. But I honestly can't wrap my head around Wendy's character having the same kind of "power" over Axe that she does over Chuck. With Chuck, its familial and sexual. I get that. With Axe, he could tell Wendy to take a FF when she says "I didnt give you permission to speak". I understand this is a show, but that portion of her clout is just weak to me. I guess there are holes in every show's writing, and for me this is one of them for Billions.

one of the main plot points throughout the second season was Axe trying to win Wendy back. Axe was in the wrong, and he did everything he could to make up for it- including actually dropping his 'life is a game' attitude and consciously excluding Wendy from the chess board. And even then, it was only after Wendy felt that the new dynamic was there to stay- that Axe would never 'use' her again, nor see her as a player/potential adversary.
I've always felt that Axe and Wendy's relationship was unique. There aren't a lot of people Axe is scared to lose; most of his closest friends are his partners in crime; they are also his most devout worshippers. Anyone who is 'in the game', Axe isn't afraid to lose, since he IS the game. Anyone who dares cross him is out of the game.
But Wendy isn't a player. He has nothing to strong-arm her; moreover, he is vulnerable. But he doesn't care, because Wendy is too valuable for him. Of all the relationships Axe has in the series, it's the only case where Axe isn't rampantly dominating the entire scene. It stands out even more because Axe is willingly behaving as such. I thought of this scene as reflection of such dynamics.

I really enjoy the show but it affects me negatively. Firstly it reminds me of my ex who from the moment we got married turned from a wonderful girlfriend into a horror overnight. Secondly I really loathe and detest this female character who is so powerful but without any morality or decency. She reminds me of a female Trump. I never watch this show in the three hours before bedtime or else I have nightmares. I want to see them all destroyed without exception.
