So glad you made this video!
Thank you!
can you expain from the top of the enclosure upward for what is code to run the wires through the top plate and into the panel. Can you run pipe as a raceway instead of wires clamping at the top of the enclosure. ? This way if you need to add circuits later its easier to feed wires into the panel.
does anybody know how low to the floor a breaker panel can be mounted? is there a minimum. I want to locate mine about 2 ft off the floor .
6 ft 7 in
The US NEC it’s 6ft 7 in height also you can’t mount the panel box sideways
Why can't a panel be installed/mounted sideways? I thought any orientation would be fine as long as there was enough clearance to open the panel door a minimum of 90°
It’s because the switch handles must be "on" in the up position and "off" in the down position
In Oregon US code is 6 foot 7 inch to the top breaker. 67 inches is 5 foot 7 and that makes no sense.
Makes perfect sense in Canada
So your saying it’s 67” and not 6ft 7” (79”) right ?
Yes in Canada it is 67 inches
