So, Camp Cretaceous Season 4 is finally out after a VERY long wait. Was it worth it? Let's find out! Keep in mind, THERE ARE SPOILERS FOR SEASON 4 IN THIS VIDEO! Also, I used Jurassic World: Evolution speedbuild footage due to copyright issues with using the clips. - Фільми й анімація

The season wasn't bad, I enjoyed it. I agree with most of your points. There were waay to many Robots, even more than Dinosaurs, but I don't mind that much because I get that this season was probably mostly meant to set up the whole premise of robots and the technology that exists and the things they can do in the franchise/universe.
If the tech shows up going forward, then the robots thing would be better for me, but if it's not, then Camp Cretaceous did an oof

I think they may also be saying that technology is advancing so quickly that pretty soon that's what it's going to be like in real life. Thus, it would actually be strange not to have robots. The concept of playing with life is also still there I suppose.
Now that I gave my overall opinion on why Season 4 was the least good season thus far, I wanna give my opinion on what I think it could've been:
Darius and the others getting attacked by the Mosasaurus seemed perfect as well as getting stranded on a new island.
However, what I believe should've happened and what everyone theorized on what would happen was having the group wash up on Site B, Isla Sorna. While the group is traveling through the Island, they would encounter some familiar creatures such as the T-Rex family from "The Lost World" as well as the Spinosaurus from "JP3".
Eventually, they would've encountered a new building in the center of the island, completely fenced off from the outside. This is were the Bios would come into play, as it turned out Mantha Corp bought Sorna as it served no use to either InGen or Masrani Global and would use the Bio to study the more interesting dinosaurs as well as experiment on them.
From there, the campers would figure out what the company was truly up to by spying on them and hopefully finding a way to contact the outside world for help.
That would've been cool, honestly, I would've preferred seeing Sorna rather than wherever this new island is, it makes more sense and stuff, but I like that they do at least give us a status update on Sorna and it's animals, basically telling us Sorna is okay, it would've been great to see it back, but maybe Sorna just has no use to them, and perhaps this new island might've been mandatory and important to Dominion, but that is just speculation and we'll have to see
@@Paracanthus Agreed 110 percent dude. What really bothers me about this new Island isn't really the fact that it isn't Sorna, but that it isn't one of "The Five Deaths". Like if it would be at least one of them, that'd make sense but I guess not. And I highly doubt the groups gonna be on this new Island for long so that makes me think is the show coming closer to an end with the kids eventually getting home, or will they end up back on Nublar or Sorna or something?
@@michaelgualtieri651 The future of the show is uncertain, but I think they're gonna end it at season 5, and looking at the swamp from the Theri shot for Dominion and other Swamp shots and the return of the Dilophosaurus, it only makes me wonder, is this environment we see Isla Sorna, or is it the Mantah Corp Research Facility?
@@Paracanthus Shit, haven't even though of that. I mean I remember hearing that we'd see a scene of dinosaurs in snow, so maybe that's in the research facility

Very nice video, the season was ok, it wasn't really the best or the worst either, it was fine I'd say. The only sad part was when the stupid dog robot killed the compy, I wanted it to be always following them till the cliffhanger and was like 'what' by tilting his head to the side a little, but no, universal couldn't do that could they.
Thanks! And honestly, I really wouldn't like that, that's just straight up anthropomorphisizing them to understand human conflicts when they really can't

I was also highly disappointed when smilodon was only cenozoic and they just kill it off. Like don't fricking hype us up for more creatures when you won't give it to us. I hate how every single creature in this season was revealed through promotional teasers like season 3. I loved that Cerato scene however cuz I wasn't expecting it and ofc I love cerato. I thought the red one was dead for good after season 3, so it was one of the best things to see the isla sorna red cerato was actually alive and the isla nublar one was cloned. Fingers crossed season 5 and dominion don't share too much of the creatures. However I feel with the toy leaks for dominion, that is already too late...
Exactly! Like, what was that promise that there'd "be more non-dinosaurs lurking around season 4"? What the hell showrunners, you promised more but didn't deliver, and I agree as well that they shouldn't have done that either, I only hope the franchise and s5 brings us more Cenozoic animals, they need to stop the blue balling
Dominion gives cenozoics
For me I have no bother to the tech due to the fact that this series is all about Mantah Corp which there technology and ideologies of dinosaurs are exploited throughout the season. Still waiting for the final season and enjoying the franchise!
I enjoyed it too, the tech only became an issue when the BRADs took up way too much attention which should've gone to the dinosaurs
What they did best in this Season is some really Good Character Development compaired to the others, not to say the others were bad, the previous Season's Character Development is still miles ahead then the JW movie characters which just goes to show that Somehow Cartoons are better at most things compaired to Real life movies. Back to Season 4, I think i started to like all the Characters after this season, For the longest time I really didn't like Sammy but after this to me she is more likable. Another thing I like is that More Conflicts in these Season is Prolonged to more Episodes, Yaz's PTSD (Which was Surprisingly Realistic again Compare to the whole JP franchise and Honestly may be my Favorite part of the Season because how they Portray it.. ), Darius's Morals being in Conflict, Sammy's role as a Yaz's source of Comfort being Tested, and such and Such are three to five episode long Plotlines which means they were more Fleshed out. When I see Movies and Shows I focus on the Characters alot (To an Annoying Point for others.. hehe..) and Because how well they did with the Characters in Season 4 I think it's My Favorite though Season 3 also had similar Strengths so it may differ on how i feel. The only Character I don't like is ..uh.. Cash.. I just hm.. It's a Text book, Stereotypical Villain and Though this type of Villain can be done well (Eg:- Jafar from Aladdin or Seraphim from the Blood of Zeus) but yeah no... Cash.. uh..
Also Voice Acting in this season is just Top notch! Yaz's Voice did Really well, Kenji's Voice actor does his Lines really well and Darius's one as always is very good!

Yup, I mostly agree with you, they nailed the campers this season, I wish we got more cenozoics! I hope so fucking much they're in the movies and mainline games and shit going forward because got damn it they deserve it and I really hope there are more in season 5
i liked it.
I did too, there were just some things the show struggled with
same i loved the saber tooth cat, the Spinosaurus and the dilophosaurus. and i hated the robots, the spinosaurus not getting enough screen time, and the t rex vs spinosaurus fight not happening. but mabye it will happen in season 5 or dominion.
@@Allosaurus1456 I was completely okay, in fact happy with no T.rex versus Spino, I sincerely hope the franchise isn't on that shit anymore and can move on from just having mindless battles
either way im happy i won't lose sleep over it and besides if you want to see the rematch all you have to do is play jurassic world evolution 1 and 2.

I liked Season 4 but it definitely wasn't the best. Okay, scratch that, I found it as the worst season of the series so far. But while I find it as the worst, I still enjoyed as well as the things it brought to the franchise, like the return of the Spinosaurus and Dilophosaurus as well as new creatures like the Smilodon.
However, I'm gonna break down the 4 reasons why I found this season the worst in the series thus far.
*One: The Overusing of Tech.*
The drones were one thing, as they seemed important for cameras as well as collecting DNA from the dinosaurs. Although, when it came to the BRADs, particularly the two legged BRAD X's? That's too much. And the fact that their were so many of those things (enough for a wear house full) seemed really ridiculous. Now I'll give the writers some props for trying something new with the technology angle. Such as the multiple Bios that were made for the different dinosaurs.
But than they bring the aspect of Mae's research of talking to dinosaurs, which seemed to not really go much else in the end in favor of more BRAD Xs. Overall, siding the dinosaurs for robots like this just felt very UnJurassic. Definitely not a highlight.
*Two: Kash and Daruis.*
Overall, it make sense for story wise if you think about it. Someone needed to distract Kash in order to stear him clear of the others while getting as much info as possible. However, what makes this bad was having that person be Darius of all people. As stated before, Kash was the same person from Mantha Corp who blackmailed Sammy's family. So wouldn't have much more sense if Sammy had been the one to spy on Kash? As this would not only develop her as a character, but bring it full circle from her original spying on Jurassic World for Mantha Corp to spying on them. Plus, Kash could've been seen as more dangerous than he already was, threatening not only Sammy, but her family as well if she didn't continue helping him.
*Three: The Romance.*
I really hate to make this about shipping, I really really do. But Brooklynn and Kenji? I mean, I can't be the only one who thought that if anything, Brooklynn and Darius would happen right? The two of them even teamed up to prank Kenji in the beginning of Season 3.
(Okay, I'll stop before I go too far with the ship wars. Srry, now back to it in a more critical perspective).
I get it, they have a similar lifestyles. He's rich, she's famous. Yeah, that part I kinda get. What I don't get is how they rounded up together like that with having very little interaction from the season prior. Seriously, think about it. Aside from supporting Sammy's posion hallucination from the Scorpius Rex, as well as Kenji going rouge to save Brooklynn from Wu and the mercs, they literally spent zero time together alone last season. Hell, they didn't even need this side polt. The writers just probably couldn't think of a good enough reason (at least not good enough to make it a whole season arc) for why Kenji was so mad at Darius like that, so they just said hormones, that's why.
*Four: The Twist Ending.*
Now this twist was good, I'll give credit as well as the hype it makes for next season. So where's the problem with it? The problem is that this creates more plot holes than it seems to be answering questions. Such as if Kenji's father really is the president of Mantha Corp, than why would he have a penthouse on Nublar as well as seemingly being friends with Simon Masrani? Darius said their companies were big time rivals. Another reason and a more important one at that, how could Kenji not have known? Yes, he and his father aren't necessarily the closest, that's been previously established. And yes, Kenji has been known to be not the brightest out of the main six campers. But surely he'd know the name of his own dad's company, let alone how his family is incredibly rich, right? I mean, it just seems that the only way how this could be interesting is if in next season, the group (particularly Sammy) have a hard time trusting Kenji again and make it one of the main plots.
So final verdict? This season was enjoyable and definitely brought important stuff for the Jurassic Franchise as a whole. However, there were just too much too fast that it would make a mess out of things. So I'd have to give this season a soild 5 out of 10. Not terrible, but definitely could've been approved.
I agree with all of this except the final plot twist thing, I mean you do understand that he'd want to be friends with Masrani and really get on his good side if his whole company uses secrets, spying, and espionage, right? It's basic strategy, diplomacy and deception, well maybe not deception, but you know what I mean, he wouldn't want Masrani to suspect him, and Masrani liking him would give him more freedom to do what he wants on Nublar
@@Paracanthus Huh, that actually makes a whole lot of sense now that I think about it. I mean, the old saying goes "keep your friends close, your enemies closer". Okay, that'd explain the Masrani side of the twist. But what about Kenji?

@@Paracanthus Like I said, I get that his dad wasn't around and was always busy. But I still kinda hard to believe that Kenji never asked his dad how their family was rich ya know? I mean up until the series events, him knowing his dad owning Mantha Corp wouldn't have been a big deal.

@@Paracanthus I am talking about Season 3 after they get confronted by the two twin Beasts then defeat them and later Dr Wu shows up and after His Gaurds kidnap Brooklyn and Wu trys to convince her his work is not dangerous and she says Is That What You Thought When You Created The Two Scorpion Rexes and He in a puzzled tone Two I Only Made One.
