Yesss the cockles are a must here! They are even in the logo of this place 😂 Sweet and savory but you guys wouldn’t be able to handle the chili sauce, we are quite sure of that 😂
Please introduce some variety of food to your friends Steve, Ivanna and Ken. They've been eating the same (Malay) food literally in the last 9 months 😂
All those satays look amazing. Wow look at those photos from the previous generations. Love business with history and a story, and even better when they stay within the family generation after generation.
They are! We liked how they brought them to our table as soon as they came off the grill still sizzling. The family business is a beautiful thing - they were so friendly and proud to talk about the history
All of those Chinese Malay dishes looks so good and fresh, just like Greg I also like the alleys with the street food. Its like a unique Asian experience.
The wanton mee looks yums! noodle texture and ingredient looks similar to Sarawak style Kolo Mee. We have it in normal sauce or with the red sauce..yums! There are hawkers and Sarawak restaurant here in KL/ PJ serving Kolo Mee and Sarawak Laksa.. its still good not bad. Hoping guys can make it down to East Malaysia - Sarawak & Sabah.. Ahh never see Melaka type wantan mee before. True we get used to KL style which is darker color. But man pickled chilli is always the best to add with noodle, any noodle 🤣
Wow the red sauce on wantan mee, that looks amazing and different than the one we tried in Penang. No wonder you got the recommendation from Peter and Yen, they know their food 😁

It is our pleasure! Thank you for watching and leaving nice comments 😁 We really appreciated how they served ketupat with the sate and how it was wrapped in the leaves. Really nice touch. Beh Leh is excellent with their attention to detail and the satay were cooked perfectly and fresh off the grill.
The longkang siham place has definitely cleaned up a lot!! I like your obsession with cockles! That sotong kangkung looks better than the ones in Penang, a lot of sides too! Ahhhh those snails, really miss them! Cockles look pretty huge too! Greg has the biggest smile on his face when he ate the cockles! So nice to see you guys enjoying all the food, especially that bloody cockles!
Haha would like to see how it was back in the day. Soo happy we’ve gotten to eat lots of cockles during our stay here. They’re great in all forms. Loved this sotong kangkung - think you guys would enjoy it. It’s funny that their logo has an animated blood cockle in it 😂
So amazing they have different parts of satay! Ooooo love the ketupats! Very nice environment of the place too. Those intestines look perfect! You guys have such a great food adventure there in Melaka!!
Yes! The intestines are great and those chicken gizzards kind of stole the show for us. The ketupat is such a nice touch instead of the usual rice cubes. Love the vibe here too! It is new but has a great retro old school feel to it. They did a wonderful job designing it. Now you see why we stayed for so long!

So interesting . Char Grilled squid? I would really like to try that . And yeah cockles are amazing , one of my favorite foods as well! The Satay looks delicious. Excellent content as always. 🧡

Hey Greg and Jumi!! It's always awesome to see what you guys are eating!! That's cool you're doing Chinese Malaysian food today. The roast duck looks so delicious and we know that 5 Spice had to add so much beautiful flavor!! Love hey have self serve soup too!!
That roast duck definitely looks so juicy, and the skin is FAV haha. We've tried roast duck with rice, fried rice, dry noodle, laksa and clear noodle soup, and went well with all of those! we need to have roast duck again soon! :)

Definitely! Especially duck this good and with that chili sauce and rice 😋 Peter and Yen nailed this wantan mee recommendation! So glad they put us on to this spot. Alleyway seafood spot is definitely one of the coolest places we’ve eaten in Malaysia and those satay some of the best we’ve had
There’s the “duck in the window”, lmao!!!👍🏻 on the ultimate bite!! Those noodles looked soooo good right now...I am ready to place an order... Love the vibe with Capital Seafood! Grilled dried squid!!!! Can I order that too? That might be great with beer? Cockles, never tried them. I am not one to say; “tastes like” because, I respect each flavor as it’s own. Steamed clams are a favorite so, I might like cockles?
There it is! And what an incredible duck it was. Could totally picture ordering a whole one some time if we had a group with us. The wantan mee was wonderful! So much so that we went again on our last night in Melaka. Beer would be perfect to sip sitting on those low wooden stools munching on grilled dried squid. For the cockles, we would say they have more of an oyster flavor but still it’s own unique taste.
Man, duck in Asia is at another level. Do not try to eat it around here unless it comes from an Asian restaurant. Hahaha That dish with rice looks amazing.
You are so right! We’ve had wonderful Chinese style roast duck like this and Malay smoked duck in a spicy coconut milk turmeric gravy here in Malaysia. Both rank among the best duck dishes we’ve ever had.

That looks fantastic. And the gizzard...you had a five-second eye bug, Greg! That might be a record...which means it's fantastic.
Ahahaha love how you counted a 5 second eye bug! The gizzard was that good and unexpected in flavor. You would love that roast duck then, so good with the chili sauce. Haha always like to rationalize what we’re eating when there’s some veggies in it. The grilled dried squid was wonderful! Would definitely have it again 👍

Looks intimidating but it was absolutely delicious! Could have ordered even more that’s how good they were. Meeting the family and talking to them made the experience that much more special. Yesss you should! Charcoal is the best

Wantan Mee has to be tasty but without the chili for me.
They do have it without chili. Our friends told us that is usually how they eat it (without the red chili sauce)
Great intro guys! Gets us ready for what to look forward too.. looks like some good Chinese Malaysian food!! Yum!
Thanks a lot, guys!
That is undeniably the best white wantan mee in Malacca! You hit the right spot.
So happy our friends recommended it! Ate there 3 times during our stay in Melaka
The sea nails never looked appealing until I saw this video. I may have to try it now!
Highly recommend, especially if you visit Melaka you must try this place
Recalled that a Penang-based MM2H/ Chinese family UA-camr covered the Capitol Seafood before
Seems to be pretty popular in normal times. We loved it!
Every time I think of Duck, I think of the end of A Christmas Story where the waiter cuts the head in front of the family. Now I want duck and rice.
This duck and rice was exceptional! Take a trip to Chinatown soon 😁

That snail looks intimidating. Never had that before. So cool that a lot of places you go to is family run over so many generations. Next year, I want to cook on Charcoal more thanks to you guys. I’ll take some of that pork satay!!!
Looks intimidating but it was absolutely delicious! Could have ordered even more that’s how good they were. Meeting the family and talking to them made the experience that much more special.
