For Le Mans: Short shift it on fuel level 6 and you’ll have fuel for just over 4 laps giving you options for your one mid-race pit stop. Reving it to redline, especially in 4th and 5th, is your fuel issue. Shift early and make your ground on the other cars in drafting, braking, top speed and handling. Easy and relaxing win by around two minutes.
I came here for recon on whether it was worth 9 million credits and hate that it used to be 3 million

This car is pretty damn fast for a road car. The one major drawback for me is fuel efficiency.
what attracts me to this car the most is the fact that it manages to blend competitiveness and uniqueness into one
not only is it a stand out driving experience , it also carries this sort of persona that generates a vibe of exclusivity whilst also maintaining the competitive factor like you mentioned , itd be awesome to see a rivals match between this and the mclaren f1, and hopefully pd implements the clk gtr road car too ^^

I actually think the cars strong point is the faster circuits. It seems to struggle to get on power initially but once you're on a long straight it really picks up speed.
I've won the Spa 1 hour race in this car (despite its atrocious fuel efficiency) because it's a great car to just drive lap after lap easily presumably because of its endurance background. And the long straights at Spa allow the car to steam past the group 3 cars with ease.
If I try the Group 3 500k race the best I can do is about 10th because the car doesn't have enough aero.
I like driving this car. What surprised me was the fuel tank. On level 6 it only has fuel ⛽️ for 2 laps of Le Mans.
So I drive faster the second lap.
With the rain falling in lap 3 I make up for the 3 stops I need to do instead of 1 or 2 stops with other cars. It's not my favourite car on Le Mans but after watching this video I will definitely try this on more technical circuits like the Nürnburgring.
This car is my go-to for the Circuit de la Sarthe credit grind. Racing hard tires, detuned to 699pp, the rest defaults. Fuel map 5 at the start and first pit at lap 3 or, depending on weather, lap 2. You should easily pass more than half the field by the end of the first lap. A bit of short shifting will easily get you 3 laps. If you've pitted at lap 2 to switch to rain tires, keep it at fuel map 5. If you've made it to 3 laps, switch to fuel map 1. Pit again after lap 5. Pretty much an easy win every time regardless of the weather.
I always use the 458 Gr.4 fully tuned. It can do 4 laps on fuel 4-5 (depending on your driving) and mediums. If it stays dry, you can even use softs for the remaining 3 laps on fuel 1.
I have this car tuned for WTC 800 events and it's proven itself more than 3 times.
bought it. love it. I use it for the 700pp lemans race. Its my most favorite car ever after the F40

@@coolieee Yeah I saw it in the legends dealer last night. Thankfully I had plenty of credits to purchase it. And omg it's an absolute beautiful car, handling, top speed..it's amazing. Definitely my favorite Porsche in the game 😍
did not know this was in the game, from this class of GT1 cars my favourites were the F1 GTR long tail, CLK GTR, R390 and the one I can't believe exists even with the rule saying it needs to exist the toyota GT1,. Did the GT1 road car making it in this game? SO many incredible cars in 2 that never made it out of 2. It seems the only super / hyper car from 2 that will always be a shoe in to return in GT is the TVR speed 12 (although that is far from a bad thing)
Love the car I bought it as soon as it came out just as a collection piece I use it just to race around in online and pull out it out in lobby’s that have car meets 😁
Nuts that this thing is 9 million now but I still bought it 😂
The two cars I use are not race cars, I use the Ferrari gto and the ford gt, if you modify them just right you can get 207mhp on the straights.

Hopefully we see the rest of the GT1 roadcars. The Porsche 911 GT1 is an underrated legend, and I'm glad it's showing up in more games.

Am wondering if it is still worth it at 9 mil? Also have a feeling it’s only going to be more expensive next time it’s offered.
Not the point of the video, but one thing I noticed in it was that your fastest lap was wrong, your first lap was a 4:22.958 and your second lap was a 4:22.968, yet the game said the second lap was fastest by making it purple even though it was ever so slightly slower.
I had something similar a few times myself with sector times, I would get a faster sector time but it would be red or a slower sector time but it would be purple.
I've also had the wrong lap time in private lobbies with a friend when spectating him in a practice session. The time when he crossed the line would be be right when it appears in the center of the screen, but the time on the right of the screen would be massively off, sometimes as much as a full 2+ minutes higher or lower than it actually was, though the difference most of the time is 30+ seconds higher or lower than it should be.
The game doesn’t count the first lap for your fastest.

Respectively disagree. I use this to grind 700pp world cup lemans daily and it tears up the competition.
As on 1.26, this puppy will set me back a whopping 9.000.000 credits
Wonder why most games use this spec of the GT1. IMO the '96 spec with the 993 lights looks better.

A tuned Audi RS5 or BMW M4 might be quicker.... but its about the story and rarity on this one.

3 million is not to bad of a grind what I find an absolute joke and I refuse to pay for in game currency is the McLaren p1 in at around 19 million what a joke

@@MBSyd_HS99 I get that but this isn’t real life this is a game that everyone has already spent a hell of a lot of money on already! It’s an easy fix just make the payout for the races worth a bit more! If you want to play it for the cars there’s only really 2-3 races that you can do to earn still not a great amount! The payouts are a joke just look at how much you win on races at the Nurburgring being the longest hardest track on the game to something quite easy like Le Mans it don’t make any sense
@@famtastic6367 payouts are a different thing, I understand that. I just responded to the fact that the price of McLaren F1 is not out of this world. They made this thing with Hagerty for legendary cars, and they try to be consistent with real world evaluations.
So it makes sense.
@@MBSyd_HS99 I get your just pointing it out mate but for me there absolutely no consistency I just bought the Mercedes clk lm for 6.5 and that was near enough 4 hours or so and you got to remember most people work for a living a the time I get to play it is on the weekends mainly I can’t grind for 19 million or by the time I do that car disappears out the game to be seen again who knows when or gets “sold out” it’s absolutely ridiculous for the general average player and £16 for 2 million credits? Did I not just spend £70 on the game! So if I wanted to buy a car in a computer game it would cost me £128 that’s just for one car from those micro transactions that’s absolute day light robbery come on man 🤣
@@famtastic6367 again, as I already said, I’m not discussing the economic system of the game that surely would use some fixes (like more rewarding races).
I just told you that by the parameter used to tie it with real life, the absolute (not relative to everything else, the absolute) number of 19.000.000 is ok for that particular car’s price
My fav car in GT7 & one of very few great things I remembered from this game. Stability is insane, performance is great (Vs road cars), looks are insane, flexibility is great. Instant buy. Worth every credit.

Bought it and loved it but I'm a huge Porsche fan so I'm biased lol I was surprised at how well it drives in stock form, I was expecting the same snap understeer present in the newer gt3's but there was none of that! Don't think I'll be tuning it at all, I know it's just a game but I can't bring myself to messing with such a legendary car
I bought it, used it once or twice and sold it to get another car lol, don't get me wrong it's a nice car, looks nice and all but to me it doesn't drive very nice and feels like I gotta fight against the car to get it to do what I want

Yeah its a shame. The Speed 8 would be great in Gr1, and the new shape Continental would be ideal for the variants of road car, Gr4, Gr3 and even a GrB rally Bentley
