I look at a lot of vegan channels looking for ideas and recipes. I keep coming back to yours. You're genuinely helping me get to the issues that I have and correcting my behavior. Thank you.

Good advice. It's hard to feel good when you eat bad.

Thank you! I needed these tips, because I'm training for a half marathon and my nutrition is not solid. I eat a lot of junk. But, I'm doing better at adding whole foods to sustain my run mileage.❤

First time visitor here 👋 What's your opinion on dry fruits as a source of fiber? I usually have a bunch of dry fruits in the morning (after soaking in water) along with a glass of lemon juice.

Hey Peter, what's your opinion of incorporating some plant based fat sources like nuts, nut butters, seeds, and avocados. Or do you follow a strict high carb low fat plant based approach.

Great question! I'm a big fan of incorporating fats, especially unsaturated fats, which are essential for our health. They are higher calorie, so just make sure you're measuring them out. But snacking on nuts, incorporating avocados or some olive oil into meals, both great options for overall health and nutrition!

Thanks Peter! I easily get lots of fiber daily (~50g/day), but my problem has been getting enough protein without eating grains and beans at every meal :-p I've been using plant based protein powder in my overnight oats and in my evening smoothies that's helped a lot! I've taken a protein forward approach with less fat and normal carbs per day, that's working well for me. My daily protein amount is now 85g - 90g for my target weight of 115lbs. 🙂

Excellent! Protein powders can be a hugely helpful addition to help hit goals, especially when they're transparent with their ingredients. Keep up the great work Lisa!

This is proof that all individuals are very different. The more I tried to lose weight on salads and vegetables, the more I experienced IBS, bloating, and cramps. As soon as I began following a carni-keto diet and eliminated all night shade plants, my stomach problems disappeared, and I've been losing 10 pounds a week.
