You right, Cass will never die. I've loved her since 1966 and I won't stop lovin' her. "Words of Love" is another of her great solos. With The Mamas and the Papas, she stood out on "I Saw Her Again", "California Dreamin'", "Monday, Monday", "Dancin' in the Street", "Creeque Alley" (autobiography sung by the group), "Straight Shooter", etc.
It's hard not to fall in love with Mama Cass. I love watching her footwork when she performed with the M&P. Smooth and elegant. And yes, confident. If you haven't watched the M&P perform Creeque Alley, I definitely recommend it. Also Monday Monday. You've probably heard it a million times. For solo Cass, I used to love a song she did called Make Your Own Kind of Music. Words of Love is an interesting groove, too. All the best.
One of my fav. songs!
A beautiful song, a beautiful voice and such a beautiful, beautiful woman.
