I bought a pair back in may and love them. I wasn’t sure I could get back into it but fortunately I had enough experience as a kid that picking it back up wasn’t too much of a challenge. They are excellent for the price. And I am hooked all over again. Definitely takes me back to a better mental state.
I’m completely new to skating haven’t used them at all except for the one time I went to a skating ring but even then I was falling on my ass, you think these are good for beginners?

I got these as someone who was coming back from only doing it 20 years ago. I have to say these were perfect for getting back into the feel of skating. I found them really smooth and comfortable. I have wider feet and I was able to skate in them for an hour. I loved these. They are really smooth and comfortable for getting back into skating. They've lasted me fine for a couple months. I took off the brake because it got in the way. All in all I was super happy with this purchase
I have the women's version, it was literally the only skates available at the sports store. I also had no idea about all the skate types and styles of skating, I was just looking to move. I think they have been pretty good for learning and I definitely would not have invested much more than $100 without knowing if I was really going to get into it. You're right that they're not super snug, so I always try to wear super thick socks with them.
Yep, a major plus for me is that they were in stock at a store not super far from me, so I could try them on in person and not have to deal with return shipping if I ordered online and got the wrong size. The store I found them at had literally only two pairs of skates in the entire store - both of them this model, in what fortunately turned out to be my size.
I was looking at my Zetrablades and realized that the cuff liner DOES come out! It’s a half cuff with the heel and calf part so you can throw in the washer. It’s held by really strong Velcro where the heel is on the outside, right behind the silver ROLLERBLADE logo 5:24 which you talk about (it’s impossible to notice). If you look under the fabric strap you’ll see that the liner isn’t attached to the skate. I found this accidentally and now I see that nobody knows about this because all the vids on the Zetrablades say the liner doesn’t come out but it does. :)
I just bought these and they are fast! They perform well, they are comfortable. I will suggest, do what they say and buy a size bigger. If you use shoes US 10, buy these on size 11. If you use US 9 for shoes, buy them size 10. They are light and solid. For the price, they don’t’ feel cheap or bad at all. I wish I could feel a bit more stable tho. I may have to tighten them a bit more around the ankles, so I will experiment with that next time I use them. But so far, so good! Very happy at $99!! Another thing, if you want to go with even faster skates and you are not experienced, you may want to start with these. Anything faster can be dangerous. Don’t get me wrong, these are definitely fast, decent. Just start with something more manageable while your gain strength and better skills.

I went inline skating at a rink for the first time after going ice skating for 5 years, and I was impressed with how similar the two were. I was able to pick up and feel comfortable with going fast within 5 mins, being experienced with ice skating. I found these online and they looked good so I started finding vids (mainly this video) for these and they look fine. I bought a pair and am excited to try them out!

These were dope slates for 5 months, I broke them jumping in the skate park but shoot they were money well spent for getting into skating, I'm definitely addicted to the sport and will be jumping into some adapt gtos soon but I'll definitely leave my broke ones on the shelf as my dog tags

Yours is by far the most informative and helpful review I've found. I appreciate that you take into account that this is a budget level skate... and isn't judged to the same standard as those at the high end of the scale.
honestly, ive been using the same pair of $70 dollar skates for the past 6 years, and have run into no issues. i don't skate every day so I don't have a ton of wear on my skates, but I do predominantly urban skating, and am currently learning some trick skating and my blades have treated me well. seeing as I have nothing to compare them to, they've been pretty great. I've only had to replace my wheels and bearings once so far- i actually didn't know that was a thing for a long time , I just thought once the wheels were damaged you had to replace the skates (glad i did my research haha). i'm currently saving up for a new pair of skates, but I'll probably hold onto my current pair for as long as they're good for, or just donate them to a friend.
Bought these today, haven’t skated in 12 years but I know I still got it lol. Super excited and thanks for the detailed review. I wear a 14 but could only find them in a 13, hopefully they’ll fit.
@@aleccarras5920 Assuming all the sizes follow the same modeling, they run big. My foot measures 14, got them in a 13 and they fit like a glove. Go a full or half size down if u like a more snug/performance feel.
The all-black look and the 82A wheels remind me of the Rollerblade Lightning skates I had in the 90s. Back then, the chassis was made in Italy and the boot in the states, which made for a highly durable skate. I'd swap out the wheels for some Hockey Plus or Kryptonics Power Play from a mail-order magazine or catalogue. Swapped the thin boot liners for a pair from some Roces Barcelonas. Fun times. Excellent video - liked and subscribed.
Dude, you tried these at the exact same time I revisited my old K2 fitness skates. I felt pretty much the same - The crazy low weight of a soft boot skate was my favorite thing about them. On the other hand, they don't give the support I'm used to and were kind of squirrely underfoot - they handled powersliding really well though. I threw some 85a wheels on mine before going out, and could really feel the impact without shock absorbers. I won't be using them for freeskating, but it was cool seeing how far I've come. Nice vid man, keep it up.
Still using my Rollerblades from the 90's, called Viablade. Active braking system. It's not price it's build quality and how well you take care of your stuff. Wheels and bearings can be changed on any skate

They wouldn’t fit me anymore but wow, thanks for jarring my memory. I had a cheap-o silver pair of Wal Mart Rollerblades years back. But recently picked up some MacroBlade 80s and really enjoying skating again as an adult.
I got new skates a few days ago after not skating for about a year after my old skates got too small. Some of my friends want to get into skating and they decided to get zetrablades. I'm really excited to skate with more people.
I went one step up and ordered the macroblade 80's, maybe I should have went with the rb cruiser. Hopefully just starting blading again the soft boot will be comfortable and keep me cruising.
I wish I had my blades from the late 90s as I want to get back into skating. I will be picking these up in the future just to get started again and then move onto better pairs. This was a great review.
I have the macroblade which is basically the same skate. I put a green superfeet insole on top of the included insole and it made the skate much more snug and comfortable. I could get the 45 degree strap and laces much tighter. It made the skate go from something I didn’t like that much to a skate that I really enjoy skating.
What is the superfeet sole? Because I just got the Macroblade 80 with ABT brake and I haven’t skated in over 20yrs and these seemed way faster than what we had back in the day and I could use the extra support. Wanted the Twister Edge x but I’m size 11 and couldn’t find them anywhere. It’s probably better I got these first because the Hydrogen/Supreme wheels are fast as holy hell and I need my stride back first. I’m going to look into the superfeet insole
I have some very cheap entry level from decathlon. They got me rolling. Then I got some better Rollerblades and the improvement has been amazing. I went back to the decathlons just for a test and decided to retire them. Definitely not good enough anymore. But the point is, as long as you get rolling, there is no bad skate.
Four weeks into learning to skate on Zetrablades, I just got some waxed laces to replace the stock laces. I wish I'd done this straight away -- the stock laces are stretchy (what kind of psychopath would build skates with stretchy laces?) which made it really hard to get them tight enough to keep things snug without also making them tight enough to make my arches hurt. The waxed laces are so much better - I can tighten them more at the toes and less over my arches and they stay put. (The stock laces are 39"/1 meter. I replaced them with 45-inch 4mm wide flat waxed laces.)
my roller blades came with that elastic style lace up. They're easy to tighten up but never gave it a thought on replacing them with what you suggested. What's the cost and where can they be purchased?
I ordered a pair of these and they come in tomorrow! I figured I'd search for reviews of them... albeit belatedly haha. But this made me feel a lot better about my purchase, and I can't wait to get them in! I'm brand new to skating - I've always wanted to but never thought I'd be any good at it - but I'm really excited to see how it goes.

@@xfiringsquadx so far, so good! I've only been on them 3 times, and not for horribly long, but thus far they've been super comfy and I like how they move and definitely "grip" the ground.
Everytime I see you skate, I'm jealous of amarican roads.. Here in Europe, and especialy the Nederlands, we always lay the residential roads with bricks instead of asphalt. We got skateparks and a lot of good bikelanes for trailskating, but I think Dutch roads prevent us from having really any urban scene.
Those were my first skates I bought over the lockdown, they’re comfortable and get the job done as a rec skate. I’d say the wheels need to be upgraded as I’ve taken many spills over rocks and pebbles
i got them with warranty (can replace it twice a year) no question asked 🤷🏻♂️ i destroy them literally and ended up replacing it only once 🙌🏼 strongly recommended
@@jellypopcorn I have changed the insole on my rollerblade and after a few hours you feet will get used to. Do not worried if you feel some uncomfortable feeling at beginning it is normal.
I used to skate when I was a lot younger and I was pretty good. I went roller blading at a rink for the first time in 5 years yesterday, and I enjoyed it so much I wanted to get back into it. I’m 15, hence the need for a budget, and just sort of restarting skating. Do you think these would be good for me?
I have a similar one, but the heel liner comes out. I don't like the lack of support; maybe bc they are soft shell. The wheels are OK. The strap isn't strong enough. Good for just cruising around or indoor skating.
I bought the lower class model rollerblade named Advantage Pro XT for $99.99 feb 2022. This skates sound about the same as this review. As a beginer skater my only problem has been getting a good fit by wearing the right thickness of socks. Specially in hot weather.
would this be a good skate for outdoor casual skating on pathway,s sidewalks, concrete, etc? also is it posibble to get replacement wheels and parts to repair these?
I have K2. I bought them because my feet are narrow. However, there's the noise about performance compared to hardboots. Having seen what you can do in those I'm not so much in delusione about mine.
So I'm new to rollerblading and just picked up the RB Cruiser. It came with SG7 and 80mm 80A weels. I was wondering if I should swap the 80A weels to 85A. Should I or should I keep the 80A until I become more comfortable rollerblading
Depends where you skate them. 80a is great for indoor skating but too soft for outdoor. It will wear out faster that a harder wheel. 85a is a pretty common hardness for an outdoor urban wheel.
You may be too bent over forwards. You may be too stiff. You may just be using new muscle groups not used for a while. Keep it up. All will be fixed with more practice!
Thanks for the review! I haven't used inline skates since the 90s but I'm thinking about getting a pair of these or hockey skates in order to get back into it for the sake of my kids. Back then, I used to rollerblade all day, every day. Great times! Didn't know then there were such things as fitness/rec skates vs hockey skates though. I only just bought what was on clearance at my local sporting goods store. I remember the first time I got hockey skates, how stiff and uncomfortable they were compared to my 3 rachet strap bargain rollers that I abused to hell. That extra stiffness felt anything but a benefit. Man, those hockey skates were hella fast and lightweight though.
I am new to skating but wanted to try something new to add to my workout routine. I liked the idea of inline skating for cardio so after checking reviews this skate had the best ones. I'm hoping these are suitable for laps around a concrete path for the sake of getting the heart pumping and adding some toning and definition to my legs.
Speaking of size for skates. If i wear a size 13 shoe, since i want a snug fit to ensure the skate doesnt flex or wobble on me, should i get a size 12 skate? Absolutely no one out there has the right info i'm looking for.
I bought these a few weeks back, there wasn't a lot of choice where I live. They are fine but hurting my feet a bit. Maybe I will upgrade to better pair of skates if I keep skating.
i think cheap skates are good for a beginner, but if youre getting back into skating and you are at least intermediate level i would just spend around 250 on a powerslide next core skate or twister edge. that being said i bet these dont feel bad and probably roll pretty decent. i mean a roces 1992 is over 200 dollars and is it any better than this?
Hey I live near summer lake park! Quick question, Idk if rollerblade shoe size is the same as regular shoe size but what size do you recommend if I wear a size 7-7.5 men’s shoe size? Do you size up/down or is it the same to regular shoe size?
Great question! I always recommend measuring your foot in centimeters and looking up the sizing chart for the skate you are interested in buying. All brands and models will very based on your shoe size but the CM or sometimes called Mondo sizing is exact. You also want a skate to fit tighter than a normal shoe would. Hope this helps!
Is it the strap or laces getting loose? It may just be that your left foot is slightly smaller than your right. And when the skate heats hup it feel roomier. That's why you need to get very tight boots, sometimes size down.
So you underestimated them which can happen. I have a pair of Firefly roller blades and they are soft shell boots. They came with 85A wheels. They have similar style lace up as these boots. But I find the front part of my foot not as secure. Not sure if that's normal or not. But I'm still in the beginner area. I've had them for a few years and just got back into using them again after a few years of not using them.
Lmao wtf? Uhmmm it kind of does matter cause what if I wanna replace my wheels throughout the warranty period cause I’ve been practicing my stopping in these (& instead of buying 82A’s) I can use my warranty until I level up & buy some better skates w 85A’s
@@ThirtyandRollin it is a skate brand on Amazon. The one I am looking at it a hard shell with removable liner tri-wheel 110mm skate with regular strap and fine tune strap for additional support. The are fitted for ones shoe size and have decent reviews. 4.9-5 stars if I recall. The bearings are ABEC7 and an 85a wheels and aluminum frame. Wondering if these are a good find?
I'm not sure if you covered it, but I guess these skates have a plastic frame. I started on a Macroblade 4x80 that has the same boot, aluminum frame and SG7 bearings - a bit better, a bit pricier but a beginner wouldn't notice the difference. The Zetrablade looks like a decent beginner skate. Would you make a review of this one: Rollerblade RB 110 3WD?
Ya I would push a beginner to the Zetrablade for cost savings. And intermediate towards a hard shell. I would love to review the RBs but I don't have a set to review at the moment.
Cool review. I used to skate aggressive lightning trs in the 90s, looking to get back into it but not for freestyle, just to ride with my dog. But these soft boots never made sense to me. Would I hate them? Does Rollerblade make an inexpensive hard shell boot version? Love the removable brake. My first blades in 92 were Zetrablades, and I hacksawed the brake off because back then it was molded on lol! I remember how spongey those wheels felt. OMG takes me back...
Beginner skater here. Very comfortable cruising around, and currently working out power stops and backwards skating. Trying to get ready to ditch the break!! Wondering if zetrablades are an okay enough skate to begin learning park tricks? (dropping in, grinding rails). I know there are more ideal skates for park/trick riding, but I have to wear out the zBlades first. Def a skater on a budget!
Sure! You can drop ramps' pump bowls and send airs in the park with these. But you won't be able to do any grinding on them. Well that is unless you are super good at grinding on fitness skates with no soul plates or h blocks. That all being said go get in the park and enjoy yourself untill you can afford a proper set of aggressive skates.

As a returning 90s skate fiend who had no clue inline was "back", your videos are really excellent! I think I've more or less narrowed myself down to diving back in with one of the Twister Edges, or possibly a Powerslide Next Core. Do you know of any online shops that sell something like a "custom build"? I really like the 2 tone colorway to the Twister Edge 3WD 110, but I think I want to go 4x80. Also, looking for something affordable for the S/O and was sorta considering something like the Zetrablade. Want to make sure she's comfortable so willing to step up to a hard boot, or something with better shock absorbtion...but still want to stay affordable. What would you suggest in the $100-$200 range above this possibly...if not hard boot, something at least that ensures a more pleasant ride?

Been skating for about 2 months now. And these are the skates I use, I chewed through the wheels in like a month so I have asphalt wheels since my roads rough. I really do like them, but I think I’m ready to move up to better fitness skate.
Hey man, it’s been over 20 years since I put on skates. I picked up the rollerblades macroblade a couple days ago, just to get my feet wet. They have 80 mm 82a wheels on them. Same as the ones in this video and they are getting destroyed in only a few uses. Do you have any suggestions on better ones? Thanks love ur videos!!!!
These look epic compared to my 5 year old Chinese $20(Aus) Blades. 😂🤣 I haven't rollerbladed in a few years but have been wanting to get back into it. I'm gonna continue using my elcheepos till I get back into the swing of things.... then upgrade, Although I still don't know what to upgrade to. 🤔
A guy in my local park is learning to skate on these. The frames bend so much when he carves that they start rubbing on wheels. He is a fairly skinny dude too.
When you’re not healthy it’s hard to be happy. These are great entry level skates for the person that wants to either try for the first time or getting back into it after years of not skating and wants to get back into shape. I way rather skate then go running 😂😂😂😂😂
These were the skates I was wanting after my dad told me that I can't spend a lot of money on them, and as a super beginner he was probably right on that but I wanted to order these but my dad's old fashioned and was like no we go to a store so I did end up getting a pair of skates they were 89 bucks and I got a discount further so that was nice but I do kinda wish I opted for these because I haven no idea the brand or anything on the ones I got but they're in this price range so I think they would be a beginner skate, which is fine for me I'm just trying to get an extra day of exercise in from my main days and it would be just circling my local park :) so I don't think I'll need more even though I did want a nicer pair lol he did tell me if I stick to it though that I could upgrade them down the road :D I look forward to replacing the wheels on mine but that will come down the road sometime :) I do like these a lot more though lol
Good job! But I would also recommend hard shell skates to anyone who's serious about skating. For just about 50 dollars more you get many good options (RB cruiser, PS Zoom, FE Origami or Micro MT Plus). With the new skate wave it's a bit hard though to find many skates in regular sizes at "real" shops... Newbies better go shopping before all decent skates are gone! ;)
Couldn't disagree more. For fitness skating, soft-boot fitness skates are superior to anything you named. Now, if you want to get "serious" about fitness skating, then I'd never in a million years recommend a hard shell skate. The extra weight, cast-like fit, and removable liners are inferior to the hybrid skate construction used by higher-performance fitness skates like the Arise, E2 Pro, Seba Marathon, FR SL Speed, etc. Thirty and Rolling actually has the very last hard boot fitness skate (Maxxum Edge 125 3WD ), as every other skate in this category has long since moved to a hybrid model. For other uses, a hard shell is the right choice, but not for fitness skating.
Um I'd definitely swap out the wheels for some 85As if you are going outside with them over different terrain I skate and drag stop alot so my wheels are pretty much done before the month is over also swap the laces to wax laces mine end up giving way after a lap.
I have bought just like 3 hours ago today Roces Forza, they have the brake on the back too. And it sometimes annoys me. The reason why it annoys me is because i also want every single small movement that i do with my feet, to match right away in the skates. So it triggers me but im going to try grinding with them :D also i want to remove the brake so badly but idk what im supposed to tell my parents :P (i feel like my mom/dad's gonna tell me that -"Its for BRAKING" Ik but i wanna try freestyling and i can learn other braking technics... Update : Almost got ran over by Skoda , fell on the grass, next i was skating, faster than the flash, when the bee tried to sting me in the ass, went to my momma and told her imma gonna pass ,mother told told me u spent 80 bucks so go back or ill smack your ass.

Nice! I must have missed that. Most soft shells don't have a removable liner.

honestly, ive been using the same pair of $70 dollar skates for the past 6 years, and have run into no issues. i don't skate every day so I don't have a ton of wear on my skates, but I do predominantly urban skating, and am currently learning some trick skating and my blades have treated me well. seeing as I have nothing to compare them to, they've been pretty great. I've only had to replace my wheels and bearings once so far- i actually didn't know that was a thing for a long time , I just thought once the wheels were damaged you had to replace the skates (glad i did my research haha). i'm currently saving up for a new pair of skates, but I'll probably hold onto my current pair for as long as they're good for, or just donate them to a friend.

@@aleccarras5920 Assuming all the sizes follow the same modeling, they run big. My foot measures 14, got them in a 13 and they fit like a glove. Go a full or half size down if u like a more snug/performance feel.

The all-black look and the 82A wheels remind me of the Rollerblade Lightning skates I had in the 90s. Back then, the chassis was made in Italy and the boot in the states, which made for a highly durable skate. I'd swap out the wheels for some Hockey Plus or Kryptonics Power Play from a mail-order magazine or catalogue. Swapped the thin boot liners for a pair from some Roces Barcelonas. Fun times.

Dude, you tried these at the exact same time I revisited my old K2 fitness skates. I felt pretty much the same - The crazy low weight of a soft boot skate was my favorite thing about them. On the other hand, they don't give the support I'm used to and were kind of squirrely underfoot - they handled powersliding really well though. I threw some 85a wheels on mine before going out, and could really feel the impact without shock absorbers. I won't be using them for freeskating, but it was cool seeing how far I've come. Nice vid man, keep it up.
Still using my Rollerblades from the 90's, called Viablade. Active braking system. It's not price it's build quality and how well you take care of your stuff. Wheels and bearings can be changed on any skate

They wouldn’t fit me anymore but wow, thanks for jarring my memory. I had a cheap-o silver pair of Wal Mart Rollerblades years back. But recently picked up some MacroBlade 80s and really enjoying skating again as an adult.
I got new skates a few days ago after not skating for about a year after my old skates got too small. Some of my friends want to get into skating and they decided to get zetrablades. I'm really excited to skate with more people.

I have the macroblade which is basically the same skate. I put a green superfeet insole on top of the included insole and it made the skate much more snug and comfortable. I could get the 45 degree strap and laces much tighter. It made the skate go from something I didn’t like that much to a skate that I really enjoy skating.

What is the superfeet sole? Because I just got the Macroblade 80 with ABT brake and I haven’t skated in over 20yrs and these seemed way faster than what we had back in the day and I could use the extra support. Wanted the Twister Edge x but I’m size 11 and couldn’t find them anywhere. It’s probably better I got these first because the Hydrogen/Supreme wheels are fast as holy hell and I need my stride back first. I’m going to look into the superfeet insole
I have some very cheap entry level from decathlon. They got me rolling. Then I got some better Rollerblades and the improvement has been amazing. I went back to the decathlons just for a test and decided to retire them. Definitely not good enough anymore. But the point is, as long as you get rolling, there is no bad skate.

Four weeks into learning to skate on Zetrablades, I just got some waxed laces to replace the stock laces. I wish I'd done this straight away -- the stock laces are stretchy (what kind of psychopath would build skates with stretchy laces?) which made it really hard to get them tight enough to keep things snug without also making them tight enough to make my arches hurt. The waxed laces are so much better - I can tighten them more at the toes and less over my arches and they stay put. (The stock laces are 39"/1 meter. I replaced them with 45-inch 4mm wide flat waxed laces.)

my roller blades came with that elastic style lace up. They're easy to tighten up but never gave it a thought on replacing them with what you suggested. What's the cost and where can they be purchased?

Back in the 90s I had a pair of rollerblade astroblade skates which were pretty good.
I ordered a pair of these and they come in tomorrow! I figured I'd search for reviews of them... albeit belatedly haha. But this made me feel a lot better about my purchase, and I can't wait to get them in! I'm brand new to skating - I've always wanted to but never thought I'd be any good at it - but I'm really excited to see how it goes.

Everytime I see you skate, I'm jealous of amarican roads.. Here in Europe, and especialy the Nederlands, we always lay the residential roads with bricks instead of asphalt. We got skateparks and a lot of good bikelanes for trailskating, but I think Dutch roads prevent us from having really any urban scene.

Those were my first skates I bought over the lockdown, they’re comfortable and get the job done as a rec skate. I’d say the wheels need to be upgraded as I’ve taken many spills over rocks and pebbles

I have a similar one, but the heel liner comes out. I don't like the lack of support; maybe bc they are soft shell. The wheels are OK. The strap isn't strong enough. Good for just cruising around or indoor skating.
I bought the lower class model rollerblade named Advantage Pro XT for $99.99 feb 2022. This skates sound about the same as this review. As a beginer skater my only problem has been getting a good fit by wearing the right thickness of socks. Specially in hot weather.
Ya fit is the most important yet hardest thing to pin down with skates. Even harder with no shops to try a bunch on.

So I'm new to rollerblading and just picked up the RB Cruiser. It came with SG7 and 80mm 80A weels. I was wondering if I should swap the 80A weels to 85A. Should I or should I keep the 80A until I become more comfortable rollerblading
Depends where you skate them. 80a is great for indoor skating but too soft for outdoor. It will wear out faster that a harder wheel. 85a is a pretty common hardness for an outdoor urban wheel.
I skated today. It makes my lower back hurt. What do I need to know?
You may be too bent over forwards. You may be too stiff. You may just be using new muscle groups not used for a while. Keep it up. All will be fixed with more practice!

I haven't used inline skates since the 90s but I'm thinking about getting a pair of these or hockey skates in order to get back into it for the sake of my kids. Back then, I used to rollerblade all day, every day. Great times!
Didn't know then there were such things as fitness/rec skates vs hockey skates though. I only just bought what was on clearance at my local sporting goods store. I remember the first time I got hockey skates, how stiff and uncomfortable they were compared to my 3 rachet strap bargain rollers that I abused to hell. That extra stiffness felt anything but a benefit. Man, those hockey skates were hella fast and lightweight though.

I am new to skating but wanted to try something new to add to my workout routine. I liked the idea of inline skating for cardio so after checking reviews this skate had the best ones. I'm hoping these are suitable for laps around a concrete path for the sake of getting the heart pumping and adding some toning and definition to my legs.

i think cheap skates are good for a beginner, but if youre getting back into skating and you are at least intermediate level i would just spend around 250 on a powerslide next core skate or twister edge. that being said i bet these dont feel bad and probably roll pretty decent. i mean a roces 1992 is over 200 dollars and is it any better than this?

Great question! I always recommend measuring your foot in centimeters and looking up the sizing chart for the skate you are interested in buying. All brands and models will very based on your shoe size but the CM or sometimes called Mondo sizing is exact. You also want a skate to fit tighter than a normal shoe would. Hope this helps!

Is it the strap or laces getting loose? It may just be that your left foot is slightly smaller than your right. And when the skate heats hup it feel roomier. That's why you need to get very tight boots, sometimes size down.

So you underestimated them which can happen. I have a pair of Firefly roller blades and they are soft shell boots. They came with 85A wheels. They have similar style lace up as these boots. But I find the front part of my foot not as secure. Not sure if that's normal or not. But I'm still in the beginner area. I've had them for a few years and just got back into using them again after a few years of not using them.

The are fitted for ones shoe size and have decent reviews. 4.9-5 stars if I recall. The bearings are ABEC7 and an 85a wheels and aluminum frame. Wondering if these are a good find?

I'm not sure if you covered it, but I guess these skates have a plastic frame.
I started on a Macroblade 4x80 that has the same boot, aluminum frame and SG7 bearings - a bit better, a bit pricier but a beginner wouldn't notice the difference.
The Zetrablade looks like a decent beginner skate.

Cool review. I used to skate aggressive lightning trs in the 90s, looking to get back into it but not for freestyle, just to ride with my dog. But these soft boots never made sense to me. Would I hate them? Does Rollerblade make an inexpensive hard shell boot version?
Love the removable brake. My first blades in 92 were Zetrablades, and I hacksawed the brake off because back then it was molded on lol! I remember how spongey those wheels felt. OMG takes me back...
I would recommend a hard shell boot. The Powerslide Zoom is an inexpensive option.

Beginner skater here. Very comfortable cruising around, and currently working out power stops and backwards skating. Trying to get ready to ditch the break!! Wondering if zetrablades are an okay enough skate to begin learning park tricks? (dropping in, grinding rails). I know there are more ideal skates for park/trick riding, but I have to wear out the zBlades first. Def a skater on a budget!
Sure! You can drop ramps' pump bowls and send airs in the park with these. But you won't be able to do any grinding on them. Well that is unless you are super good at grinding on fitness skates with no soul plates or h blocks. That all being said go get in the park and enjoy yourself untill you can afford a proper set of aggressive skates.

As a returning 90s skate fiend who had no clue inline was "back", your videos are really excellent! I think I've more or less narrowed myself down to diving back in with one of the Twister Edges, or possibly a Powerslide Next Core.
Do you know of any online shops that sell something like a "custom build"? I really like the 2 tone colorway to the Twister Edge 3WD 110, but I think I want to go 4x80.
Also, looking for something affordable for the S/O and was sorta considering something like the Zetrablade. Want to make sure she's comfortable so willing to step up to a hard boot, or something with better shock absorbtion...but still want to stay affordable. What would you suggest in the $100-$200 range above this possibly...if not hard boot, something at least that ensures a more pleasant ride?

Yes they fit pretty true to size but felt wide mainly because of the soft shell.
Been skating for about 2 months now. And these are the skates I use, I chewed through the wheels in like a month so I have asphalt wheels since my roads rough. I really do like them, but I think I’m ready to move up to better fitness skate.

When you’re not healthy it’s hard to be happy. These are great entry level skates for the person that wants to either try for the first time or getting back into it after years of not skating and wants to get back into shape. I way rather skate then go running 😂😂😂😂😂
These were the skates I was wanting after my dad told me that I can't spend a lot of money on them, and as a super beginner he was probably right on that but I wanted to order these but my dad's old fashioned and was like no we go to a store so I did end up getting a pair of skates they were 89 bucks and I got a discount further so that was nice but I do kinda wish I opted for these because I haven no idea the brand or anything on the ones I got but they're in this price range so I think they would be a beginner skate, which is fine for me I'm just trying to get an extra day of exercise in from my main days and it would be just circling my local park :) so I don't think I'll need more even though I did want a nicer pair lol he did tell me if I stick to it though that I could upgrade them down the road :D I look forward to replacing the wheels on mine but that will come down the road sometime :) I do like these a lot more though lol

Good job! But I would also recommend hard shell skates to anyone who's serious about skating. For just about 50 dollars more you get many good options (RB cruiser, PS Zoom, FE Origami or Micro MT Plus). With the new skate wave it's a bit hard though to find many skates in regular sizes at "real" shops... Newbies better go shopping before all decent skates are gone! ;)

Couldn't disagree more. For fitness skating, soft-boot fitness skates are superior to anything you named. Now, if you want to get "serious" about fitness skating, then I'd never in a million years recommend a hard shell skate. The extra weight, cast-like fit, and removable liners are inferior to the hybrid skate construction used by higher-performance fitness skates like the Arise, E2 Pro, Seba Marathon, FR SL Speed, etc. Thirty and Rolling actually has the very last hard boot fitness skate (Maxxum Edge 125 3WD ), as every other skate in this category has long since moved to a hybrid model. For other uses, a hard shell is the right choice, but not for fitness skating.

Um I'd definitely swap out the wheels for some 85As if you are going outside with them over different terrain I skate and drag stop alot so my wheels are pretty much done before the month is over also swap the laces to wax laces mine end up giving way after a lap.
