    The most beautiful 1990s ordinary car. And it's in AWD.

    What I love about this video is that it's very much applicable to my 2004 Legacy Wagon as well.

    The Subaru key is for the door locks and ignition. That round key is the valet key which only works on the doors and ignition. It doesn't work on the trunk or glove box.

      The light key has -X stamped on the key and the valet key has -Y stamped on the key wand the little wallet key has -X stamped on the key

    3:16 Valet key, it wont open the (boot)trunk ....20:45 but the (boot)trunk release lever will lol! So refreshing to go back to a simpler time, where the salesperson actually knew the cars they sold backwards! In that era, the car adverts mentioned the number of camshafts, ECUs, power figures and suspension and braking specs. These days they and the car buyer wouldn't have a clue about whats under the bonnet and big plastic covers keep it that way. I own the RS turbo version of the BC Legacy and its still going strong some 30yrs later, when a lot of more modern cars have given up the ghost! 🙂Cheers!

      There's a pin/lever in the trunk that you can switch so the trunk does not open with the trunk release lever.

      @@jcc189 lol did not know that! What about pulling the split-fold rear seats down? Some work to crawl in but you can not lock them independently in my legacy at least. Not sure about U.S models.

    • @jcc189
      @jcc189  9 місяців тому

      @@HereIsMyOffer There is actually a knob on the fold down seats that allow you to lock them to prevent someone from folding them down from the cabin. Here a scan from the owner's manual.

    Just learnt from this video a feature that I never knew existed😆 the hill break assist. Ive really suffered alot with that one. Is it a standard feature with all first gen models? Mine is the second series BC2 91. Will try that tomorrow😂

    • @jcc189
      @jcc189  Рік тому

      Yeah, it should be standard on all BC/BF Legacies.

      I have it on mine. Disconnected it due to the clutch pedal feel feeling like a mustang with a king cobra clutch. Nice and easy now.

      You can try turning on closed captions (the CC) icon and then go to the gear icon and change the subtitle to your desired language.
