you're birds are sooooo sweet that they hug you I have two cocktails the female one doesn't let me hug her but comes on my head and the male let's me pet him
I just got back from a trip, and my sun conure went CRAZY when she saw me! Sun conures tend to be loud, and Loki is LOUD! She screamed and screamed even when I took her out.
This is a fantastic video! I love that you didn't edit out the Rachel nipping part and that Marianna explains and teaches what to do if this happens to anyone else. Awesome! So happy you are home safely with your babies. I know they missed you two.
That reaction Kili made with the constricted pupils and beak movement is exactly what our Senegal, Patty, does when my dad comes home! It is usually proceeded with lowering her wings and regurgitating some food - to feed my dad, I guess? 😂
my red bellied parrot does this too when he gets excited. he puffs up and dances and makes all sorts of animated noises. it's so cute and entertaining.
Hey Michael m from south Africa the homeland of truman ....i own a caique , Sun conure , Senegal and blue and gold macaw ....love ur vids a great fan of urs all my parrots are perfect wid me besides my Sun conure which comes to me as I please but always chews on My finger .....
My grandmothers green winged macaw constantly nips at us because we can’t handle the many children that run about but her personality changes dramatically when we let her out and the kids are sleeping. She things that the kids are a danger to her and even when we have them all sit down and be quite she doesn’t like them at all. We’re trying to train her and teach the kids but it’s a process..
i love birds i had two budgies but one died so im left with one, me and my parents are thinking of getting a cockatoo what are we going to expect from the cockatoo PARROT WIZARD your opinion WOULD help
Marivel Comtreras not the parrot wizard but I've had several birds and I think that you shouldn't get a cockatoo if your only experience is that! I'm not trying to make you feel bad, it's just that cockatoos are really hard for newbies and can end with both having a bad time. I recommend you getting a Green cheek conure or some medium size parrot, but expect it to be hard! I say a conure because they have a big parrot personality so, if you can take care of it well then you can get a big bird! I hope it helped ^^ And good luck
Watching Rachel bite actually kind of broke my heart. I grew up in a split home. Whenever I spent the summer with my father new pets such as our Cat Shadow, or puppies such as our old dog Ruby would absolutely adore me. After I left and came back, they never truly forgave me. Shadow, never forgave me. He's old and senile now and hasn't had much of a choice. But it resulted in me as a child forcing him and it only made it worse. Ruby was forced to forgive me, but never adored me the same way she did after she finally warmed up to me. Animals don't understand, all they recognize is that you left them. I sincerely hope that moving forward through the years Rachel doesn't come to hold this against you.
Your parrot is trying to regurgitate. They do it as a loving behaviour, like a parent trying to feed their baby or an adult bird trying to feed his/her lover. It's a very affectionate behaviour.
Nonsense! Mine love people. They come outside, ride bikes with me, whistle and tons of fun things. They are affectionate and love attention. They are more than " dumb and poopy ". Also learn grammar. BUDGIES HAVE BEEN CAPTIVE BRED OVER YEARS.
Hey! I love your vids. I was wondering what type of bird Truman was, though. Me and my friend are considering getting a parrot in the future and Truman seems the perfect size and fit for us.
The step-up should be taught in a way so that the bird doesn’t use his beak to support himself while climbing on to you. For a bird owner who knows it’s safe, it doesn’t really matter, but birds really need social interaction with other people as well and that can be troublesome if he scares them by almost biting them.
hi Michael um i have african parrot he kept biting but i dont know what do. Also coco love my uncle and im one who paying the parrot im scared u know my parrrot biting fast i dont know what do
I watched a couple of earlier videos and then watched this one and am wondering what happened to Santina, Could you please let me know? Just curious she was such a beautiful bird!
Hey Micheal Just an idea but I thought about how cool it'd be if you began a UA-cam segment explaining each breed of bird you own and the general characteristics?
Parrot Wizard Aw you don't need to worry about that, us parrot lovers will never be bored I could watch hours of you ranting on about parrots and never get bored. I love them too much

PARROT WIZARD IS AMAZING! YOUR WIFE IS LOVELY & GREAT WITH THE BIRDS!!❤ If you think you NEED a bird or THINKING about getting one? PLEASE READ!❤❤❤ Do your research, there are more things that can kill your bird, than things that won't. Non-stick cookware, candles, hair spray, air fresheners, scentsy, any kind of smoke, nail polish, hair dye, ANYTHING WITH CHEMICALS. Not including things they fly into or get into.. fans, windows, cats, dogs, other pets, they can get stuck behind furniture, chew on EVERYTHING, poop every 10 min on EVERYTHING including you. Not trying to talk you out of it, just do your research. Did you know??.. *There are over 30 million birds in shelters that need homes? That is 30 million in just the U.S. alone!* So if you do 3-6 months worth of research, on the particular bird you want (different parrots, have different diet requirements, unique needs, personalities, hormonal changes,) and you still want a bird, Google a local shelter or avian rescue, go volunteer for a few weeks & see what it is all about. Maybe a lucky bird will choose you if you still want one after experiencing the noise & hard work they require. Or get on craigslist & find a bird that is in need of a home. If you are not able to provide your bird with 10-14 hours outside of their cage everyday, I wouldn't recommend getting a bird. They are extremely intelligent & can't just sit in a cage all day, everyday! My birds are out 12-14 hours every single day, from morning until night. Their large cage & homemade bird jungle is from floor to ceiling with branches & toys & takes up half of our living area. It is huge & we are always adding to it. They eat meals with us (organic/bird safe) The only time they are in their cage is at night for sleeping & on occasion a couple hours if I have to leave them unsupervised for any reason. Our birds run the house & we changed our entire lifestyle to be able to provide the best home for our birds ( bird proofed entire home for weeks before adopting, only buy & eat organic/bird safe, so our birds can join us for every meal, we threw out anything & everything that could cause any kind of harm to our birds) We (hubby&I) researched for almost a year before committing & left the rest in God's hands! Both of our birds are rescues & both are amazing! My first bird took almost 3 months to gain enough trust to start training. One month of just sitting by his cage reading a book & offering treats, holding my hand in the cage completely still for 10-20 min at a time, just to build up enough trust to step up & come out of his cage. It was a very slow, but very rewarding experience. Now he is the best trained cuddle birb!. Our second bird was from a craigslist ad. Took a couple months, but wow, he is a lush, always on me, always in my face & wanting to cuddle & scritches all day long. Birds are so intelligent, they can recognize they are now in a safe, loving environment. They feel very appreciative after coming from a bad home or shelter situation. My point being is this- adopted birds can & DO make the best companions ever! Let's put breeders out of business & empty our shelters! ADOPT! DON'T SHOP! Do your research, know it's going to take a lot of time to build that trust & bond. It is a marathon not a sprint. Know it is a 20+++ year commitment & every bird deserves an amazing, loving, knowledgeable bird owner for life. Most birds go thru 3-12 different homes in their lifetime. That's just awful & they are so intelligent, they remember every single one & feel the pain of loss & rejection. Sorry I am ranting.. but if we aren't the voice for birds, WHO WILL BE? NeutralGenericUser yes that.s a mating gesture. i have a male sennie and he does the same (regurgitate)
my red bellied parrot does this too when he gets excited. he puffs up and dances and makes all sorts of animated noises. it's so cute and entertaining.
carmen orsini wait so??? He thinks his career is a potential mate?
Our bronze-winged parrot does the same. He would regurgitate food to feed my husband's toes...odd boy 😂...
For a second I thought it was going to be VERY chaotic at the beginning but they didn't really freaked out or something like that
Her hand is hesitating- thus communicating confusion to the macaw, otherwise he would step up
1:25 that’s such a beautiful cage!
How simply HAPPY I feel every time I see animals so loved, respected & treated with such dignity... : )
They are beautiful, my birds miss me when I have been gone only a few hours.

1:38 Did Truman try to regurgitate for Marianna ? So cute !
What kind of bird is Truman?

I think she's hurt Mariana left her. That's her mama.
My bird steps up without any food rewards & responds to the sound of my voice.

Fisher’s Lovebirds ? The little colour by number Parrots from Africa.
Truman was bobbing his head and looked like food came out, my senegal does that too, is it bad? or what does it mean exactly?
Nestor Vallejos thats perfectly normal :) it means they really love you like their own babies
Stoned Savage not like their babies but like their mate
Your parrot is trying to regurgitate. They do it as a loving behaviour, like a parent trying to feed their baby or an adult bird trying to feed his/her lover. It's a very affectionate behaviour.
Cristalsonic Christal I know this is a weird question but wouldn't your parrot mistake you for a mate then? How do you avoid this? Thx
your bird is regurgitating its a sign of love. unless they do it a lot its just fine:)
your snegal loves you a lot than anyother

Truman is a Cape Parrot!
Cape Parrot from Africa.
Yeah, my bird bit the crap outta me when I returned after a month
Emely Triana
lol
How much are cape parrots?
hi Michael what would you recommend as a beginner's bird between a cape parrot and a Senegal ??
Abdullah Bux Definetely Senegal
Senegal
I feel like these birds aren't even trained that good compared to Michael and Mia the parrots. I low key feel like he just wants to sell books

For a bird owner who knows it’s safe, it doesn’t really matter, but birds really need social interaction with other people as well and that can be troublesome if he scares them by almost biting them.
I’ve had 6 small birds before, is it safe now to get a macaw?

😱😱😱 did u visit Romania????? i live there!!!!! And i also have a parrot, a lovebird 😊. Can i also train him? Is it possible?
Lovebirds are parrots... What kind of parrot? Parrot is an extremely generic name for hundreds of species...
@@zer0studi0s37 350 species to be exact. They’re hooked beaks and zodactyl toes, two pointing forward and two pointing backward identifies them.
@@zer0studi0s37 lovebirds are the smallest of the African Parrots and yes they can be trained just like any other Parrot as they are quite clever.
Is Truman regurgitating? is he hormonal?
Just really excited
have you been to Romania????
Yes. Videos soon.
OMG!!!! I live in Romania.I wish i was there with you!
