Levi’s was founded in 1853 in my home town of San Francisco as work clothing for miners, lumberjacks,... Levi’s 501 jeans became a standard of the youth culture in the 1960’s. From there they became part of the fashion statement.

I recently bought 2 pairs of jeans at a mall here in Mexico. Unfortunately I didn't try them on until I got home. Turns out that they were skinny jeans ,the tags on the jeans didn't say anything about it nor did the sales lady warn me. I tried to take them back but because I'd removed the tags I couldn't exchange them or get a refund. Fortunately I've got skinny chicken 🐔 legs 🦵...
So if you see a tall,skinny, 65 year old retired former US Marine in Colombia soon, wearing a pair of tight assed jeans try not to laugh too hard.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂 They were expensive and I need to get my money's worth out of them. Thanks for your videos, they've been a great help in my decision as to where to go next on my Central and South American redemption tour.

Levi's also cost some $$$ here in the US. As far as them being replicas: "fake it until you make it" as they say in Los Estados Unidos.
I live in Nashville in the US and I buy Levi’s from the mall some stores they are 15 bucks and if you shop around at the mall you could get them for less . I got 7 pairs for 9 bucks each at Ross .

I went on a walking tour in Medellin and was also told by the tour guide that Medellin El centro is Colombia’s capital of fake clothes. Those jeans look good on you. They look authentic to me. The real test will be how well they hold up after a couple of times in the washing machines.

People sell them here the United States at the Flea-Markets and in Mexico you can buy everything from the back of a car or truck even gasoline. But it's not the jeans it's what you put in them that makes them look good:)

You can make a changing robe out of an old bed sheet. Just cut a hole in the center for your head. Fold it, and sew the two sides together.
The city of Itagui close to center of Medellín is where a lot the clothing manufactures are located. The Main Street Carrera 52D, one way street, of Itagui has hundreds of stores selling clothing, anything you can wear, you will find it for guys and gals. Metro Station Ayura, exit take a taxi 2 miles, to clothing wonderland. Only cash !!
The first time I went to Medellin I went nuts with all the clothes I found there, I was 😳 wonderland 😂

And I've been to many countries around the world, and it never even crossed my mind going to Colombia. But after watching some of your videos I think it looks like a brilliant Country. Great video Miyah . Levi's are the only jean I ever buy. Here in the states you can easily spend 30 up to 50 dollars or even a little more for blue jeans . I was impressed by the knock offs she had . They looked real from the stitching on the rear pockets and the two Levi tags on the back . If I could get the same look for less I would surely buy them .I enjoyed watching you put your jeans on in the car LOL but when you got them on they looked real good on you or should I say you made the jeans look good . You looked like a beautiful model . Thanks for doing what you do . Hopefully one day soon I will come to your beautiful country .

The jeans are knock-offs, but your charm is real! Do a Google image search for "Levi Strauss Jean Label". You'll see that real jeans have the WAIST size and LENGTH along with the model/style number on that tag. Here you could probably get used Levi's at Salvation Army or Goodwill for $10 😉 Can you haggle there?
