@@1878reddevil well, maybe it is a thing here. People are just so happy to witness it that they express their joy clapping and cheering. I am grateful to have been there and witnessed it too
Don't laugh at this. It's a matter the sun God takes very seriously. In fact, if you don't, it will punish you with rain and maybe even a thunderstorm somewhere within the next 3 months.
sadly couldnt see it very well here, cloudy, and not totality, but this would be an amazing sight to see.
We were super lucky here in south east Indiana. It was well worth it to travel to see the totality.

Oh yeah… this is my second eclipse and that is a common thing. Clapping, cheering. It is a very interesting phenomena to see it in person.
