I'm very disappointed in you Tony, making your friend's suicide attempt about you and being upset about not being thanked is very narcissistic and self righteous of you. Just be glad she is alive and well, and for the record you didn't go through anything , she did , you did the right thing by helping her and don't expect an applause every time you do a good deed.
Can't always be the victim Tony. Maybe a little more self reflection is needed with regards to your own role in things. I had lots of drama in HS too but looking back I'm pretty sure I caused at least half of my own problems..
and he's not being narcissistic. this is a very accurate representation of highschool, especially since the good parts that stand out aren't in this video. the entire "just being a witness during drama, but somehow gets involved" thing is not being self-centered, but just showing how brutal school is. it is that brutal. i've been through it. he's literally the exact same person as last video. chill.

I don't know why you're saying 'I really went through all this' when the first story wasn't your drama (no the mum didn't have to thank you, you sound quite self-centred) and the second story happens frequently in all high schools - gay or straight, people's crushes always get revealed. Considering you described it as 'like being a celebrity for a day' I'd say you didn't seem to have much of an issue with it either.
I really wish you hadn't had put this on about suicide story because all it did for me is bring up the day my son took his life so I. Had to click off its not relaxing at all for me.

I'm a senior right now, but to make things extremely short, I got beat up a shit ton, insulted all the time, and had no friends my first three years of school. This year however, I don't get beat up but it's like no one even acknowledges my existence.

harry frampton that's actually my school. We have nurseries at our schools for students so they can have their kids with them during the school day. And everyone smokes weed (not me😂) but that's exactly my school
harry frampton I graduated in 2009 and all of those things happened to people I knew (I myself did coke in school actually haha) my mom graduated in 1975 and all of those things happened to people she knew (except replace the 'friends' nudes' situation with her friend gave a guy her underwear after sex and he told everyone/passed them around). every generation of teenagers is fucked up, not just the current one.

This really annoys me. He is very self centered. His friend tries to attempted suicide and he was upset he didn't get recognized.
This comment section is really interesting because it's only this video that I've seen widespread comments calling Tony narcissistic and I've never really thought of him that way before. I mean, he's about as self absorbed as anyone else I've met, no worse than my own family. Plus, seeing as I only know him (one-sidedly) through a screen, not really interested in judging him. He's not gonna be liked by everyone but unless he's done something absolutely reprehensible, he doesn't seem like a terrible person.
People notice it here in the way he's telling his stories, sounds more self absorbed. But a lot of popular people are in a way...isn't that how it works with social media? :)
Em183 yes I suppose...if we all had "storytime" we would all come off as self-absorbed/narcissistic (however you wanna put it) to some degree. My conclusion, Tony's a person just like the rest of us. Good or bad, it is what it is :)
Dieu Donné I've probably been watching his videos for about a year now. I don't follow him on social media and I'm not really active on anything but Twitter. In that time I personally never thought of him a narcissistic person, not that I noticed and ignored it for the sake of the tingles or anything like that, just that he never struck me that way. If I noticed anything, it's that maybe he has insecurities and not the best self-esteem but that didn't bother me as I've got my own insecurities and such as well. And Tony has refrenced his old videos and I can't tell you how he described himself verbatim back then but he left the impression that it was a mess and entirely inappropriate. It seems like he has grown and matured since then and hopefully will continued to do so. Like I said in my OP, not everyone is going to like him, especially those who have been around longer to witness more of his behavior. All are entitled to their feelings. Just speaking for me, I still enjoy Tony's videos with his personality included. Unless he proves me otherwise or becomes overbearingly negative/hateful, I'm still relaxed by his videos and I'll keep watching. Different strokes for different folks :)

AYOzed That attitude is definitely selfish and I could see why people would find that example as narcissism. To me, I see it as insecurity. I even dated someone like that lol Doing the right thing for the wrong reasons, looking for validation in oneself through the approval of others. I feel like a true narcissist wouldn't care if people liked them or appreciated them or not, just as long as they truly viewed themselves as God's gift on earth. Yes, I think (even though it doesn't matter what I think, but it's a discussion) that Tony was/is insecure and is a bit self-centered but he's got room to grow and I don't think he's hurting anybody; I could be wrong. I don't know, maybe with Trump all over the media, that's what I think of when I think of a narcissistic person. I see that in reiterating my point, I may come off as defending Tony but I'm just stating a different opinion, I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything. Is he perfect? Far from it. That could be said for anyone though. But all that to just explain what I mean when I say that I don't see the narcissism that others do. Agree to disagree :)

How the hell did a story about a suicide attempt turn into a story about you coming out? If you’re not going to make that a serious issue, don’t share someone else’s story!!! Omg, suicide is no joke, and it is NOT your story to share! Good on you for coming out, but I swear to god you should never put up a story like this without someone’s permission. Even if you change the name people you knew may remember or she may even see the video. It’s not a good topic to talk about. I swear to god, this just made me so mad because of personal reasons. The rest of the video is ok, it’s fine. But you should not share a suicide story without making it a proper video. An awareness video would be fine, but in a gossip video you should never do this

I've had many toxic relationships with friends and it can really get you down, I'm glad you got rid of that negative "Bethany" out of your life. It really does you good. I had a friend who used to emotionally abuse me, wouldn't let me be friends win anyone else. I got rid of her after a few years and the weight lifted right off me and I felt so relieved that I cried. Getting rid of negative energy can really do wonders and I'm glad that you got through it and got rid 💖

Sophomore year I got help for my depression.
Junior year, I was flying high and was set to graduate early and got sick (chronic illness)
Senior year, homeschooled because of illness and I still haven graduated.

Tony, I loved this video but the part of it about your friends unfortunate suicide attempt was extremely narcissistic, all the school was trying to do was ask you about what really happened, not to give you a round of applause and a trophy every time you do a good deed, I thought you would be a firm believer in that goodness is it’s own reward. I’m sorry, but if you want people to take you seriously and actually feel for you, either you should’ve worded it differently or just not said the bit about ‘they didn’t thank me’. To be honest, there were other parts of the video that were quite unbelievable and ridiculous, I mean I don’t live in America but I seriously doubt there would’ve been security guards in a local school in 2009-2013?

I love how amazing and strong you are. I am in senior year and actually have felt the same with your friend (Bethany) who has been making fun of me and clingy. It is draining and making me feel negative. It makes us a stronger person so thank you for sharing

when I started watching your videos I used to laugh a lot I won't deny.... but eventually it was your videos that helped me pass through the toughest times of my life.... I had sleeping disorder which reduced gradually, can't thank you enough for that.... No matter how much people make fun of you I would always appreciate for whatever you're doing :)

High school can be brutal but look how much stronger, wiser and more balanced you have become. I wish I could give you a hug! Lol You know, empaths seem to draw narcissists around them. You start being able to spot them easier after bad experiences. You had some ( what I like to call) energy vampires in your life. It's so hard when you have real love and good things to share and you become Closed off because of people who have taken advantage. Some people are worth sharing yourself with. My high school experience sucked I got bullied all the way through apart from the last year which settled.
Freshman year was great. Sophomore year I started running track and became really good at it but I also developed an eating disorder. Junior year I was recovering from my eating disorder and it sucked. I cut my hair into a pixie cut. Senior year was boring, I just wanted to be done.

My high school experience? I was extremely shy. I liked high school but spent most of it "watching from the sidelines". My friends now can't believe I was ever shy haha. Now I'm very outgoing.

U r so brave. What some of us go thru in school should be illegal. Its no wonder some ppl become suicidal and some homicidal. I saw things happen that were enuf to cause a person to have ptsd. Thank God you got thru it, that we all did. You seem to be an amazing and certainly good-looking person today. Thx for the stories. Loved hearing them, and hopefully someone who heard them realized they aren't alone in being tortured while attending school. :)

I had a bad eighth grade experience. I discovered I was gay in seventh and came out in 8th. People picked on me and just made me feel so uncomfortable. I got really depressed and I still am depressed to this day. I did some bad things but I wouldn’t be as good of a person as I am today if it weren’t for that.

I'm lucky. I loved high school. Not for the reasons movies and stuff say people will love high school though. I was always really academic so being able to go into AP classes and not have to work with partners who hate school and don't want to do work was nice to me.
I had a great HS experience but a terrible experience in primary school I'm glad the drama happened before I turned 13 because by then I'd learned how to not be a victim and to not take anyone's BS.
