    Thanks for the info, exactly with the coaxial of my MX1.

    Just got me an MX-1 one recently, but haven’t learned to use it yet. Good for you on posting this, and I’m looking forward to your overview on it and how you are best using it. Looking forward to finding time on using it with my TB-3 and TR-8, once I get competent with using them, and then eventually working things into the mix like Ableton and my Bass Station synth. Coolness.

      Have you checked if the SPDIF is in input mode? Be default it is in output mode.

    howdy, thanks for all that you do. I have tried this on 3 occasions, with 3 different converters and no luck. No problem changing sample rate, audio source is verified, numerous RCA cables tested. All converters were labels as RCA input, digital output.
    I did confirm that converter TOSLINK output does operate correctly.
    Latest brand to test was
    Musou RCA Analog to Digital Optical Toslink Coaxial Audio Converter Adapter with Optical Cable.
    Possible failure possibilities: I only have one digital coax cable and I only have one MX-1 so either of those could be faulty. Any thoughts on where to go next?

      After all your testing I would try the converter with another coaxial compatible device for double check if it's faulty. This connecter on the MX-1 can either be IN ou OUT. Maybe double check that it is in INPUT mode. Turn on the MX-1 while holding GAIN. Press on SELECT of the Digital channel : If it is on (lights on) it is in input mode, if off then it is in output mode for the Coax connector. Hope this helps.

    I have tried your aproach with a similar converter (Swissonic) trying to hook up several external devices (among which an Alesis SR-18 drum machine) to the digital input of my MX-1 mixer, but neither setting (44.1, 48 or 96) wont work. Used high quality cables, double-checked everything, including the input/output setting on the MX-1, but no result. Does the fault lie with the converter or the digital input of the MX-1? I still couldn't find out. All the rest on the MX-1 works fine.

      @Nu-trix  4 роки тому

      I had problem with the sample rate mostly between the converter and the mx-1. Sometime the order in which your turn on the device also affect the rate sync.

      @iniputu 4 роки тому

      @@Nu-trix Thanks for your reply. I tried every possible order to turn on every involved device at every possible setting, but unfortunately still no result. For now the only solution is to try to borrow a device with a proper digital output to check if the input of the MX-1 is okay. If so, the Swissonic AD 24/192 converter goes back to sender.

    Would you buy the MX 1 today? You would not use it to record all your inputs to your DAW?

    • @Nu-trix
      @Nu-trix  3 роки тому +1

      I already have so much in my studio that I would use my existing gear and workflow.. I appreciated the MV-1 but I would not buy one for me. I feel the target audience is more the vocal artist that self-produce his/her songs .

      I would still by the MX-1 because it is my main mixer and 16 inputs audio interface for my MAC. I just wish they would make an iOS driver for it.

    hello, thanks for your videos, im learning a lot from it! Can you please kindly let me know you thoughts on this situation? I have different devices, Korg Kaossilator 2S, iPad Pro USBC, OP-1 Teenage Engineering, Roli Blocks with Seaboard, connected to a Arturia AudioFuse, the problem is that they all have different volumes, some sound very loud and some very low when connected directly to the AudioFuse, so I can't get it use use all at the same time, while I get the volume perfect for the Seaboard and blocks, the Kaossilator 2S will sound very low, and so forth. Any idea on this? Im using 3.5mm stereo cables, and now just got a Yamaha MG06 Mixer that I could control the volumes and still no results, thks a lot!

    • @Nu-trix
      @Nu-trix  5 років тому

      To use them without a mixer you should start with setting the lowest volume generator (kaossilator 2s) to its loudest. Then set the other to a confortable volume in relation to the Kaossilator. That is one option.

    • @saluddiaz
      @saluddiaz 5 років тому

      Do you think having the Mixer will help in any way? thanks again

    • @Nu-trix
      @Nu-trix  5 років тому

      If you want to use the MG06 mixer, you will need a mono 1/8 inch mono to 1/4 inch mono. For the Kaossilator you will need 2 rca to 1/4 inch. Then control the volume with the mg6 and connect its stereo outs to the Arturia AudioFuse.

    • @saluddiaz
      @saluddiaz 5 років тому

      I see, Ive tried to do just that, connecting the KAOS and making sure the volume is up all the way, although still it doesn't sound loud enough, I have to crack the volume on the Audiofuse itself very high in order to get on the volume I want, can it be the cable? Im using the right cable? Do you think I better keep the Mixer? thks

      Playground Of Sound , in the case of SPDIF digital audio, the connections are transmitting left and right on a single cable.
