To pay you all a compliment I think your color selections and vibrancy are likely the biggest thing I love about your models, and part of why is looked for your channel been a fan on IG for a long time, you should consider a video on color theory and how you are coming up with these unique masterpiece color schemes
my komentarz is just a big thank you for the video. I love to see your process. Even though you say that oil paints is for everyone (and I agree some techniques are quite forgiving), Claudia's mastery of turpentine dilution is nothing short of amazing. Also, actually smiled seeing Nikola painting out of instinct: "oh, what a pretty color, let's use it" and bam! amazing happens. If you ever consider having a stagiere in the studio, I offer myself as intern!
Very excited for the rest of the series, I had been going all acrylic or all oil for my last few projects so seeing how to use them in harmony was very useful. Definitely hope we see enough komentarz for you to continue the project!
Love the oil painting 🖼️ blending concept, I learned with oils in high school but thought they had no place in war gaming but your video makes the concept total sense! Very excited to put my old sets to use and try some techniques
Loved this video! Awesome to learn about your process. I'm very interested in painting this way. Even though you might not like doing it I really want to see how you paint a tank in this way! Thanks for the video, you guys are great!
Komentarz! Amazing video, glad to see more oil paint applications myself! On the base example how much oil paint you have on the flat brush? Similar to a dry brush?
Thank you for komentarz :D. Yes, sort of; You can drybrush with oils in similar way to acrylics. Less 'sharp' edges, but smoother transition could be achieved.
Hello, thank You! We didn't varnish after airbrush. It is not needed unless You would like a specific effect. For example if You put glossy varnish the paint won't soak into the airbrush layers that easy - better for wash / enamel techniques, worse for the techniques we used.
It depends on several factors, but usually not. We use a lot of glue + activator and we frequently use apoxie sculpt for good touch points with the base
Dziewczyny. If i wish to paint night lords will it be correct to go: black, white highlights with white ink, nagarroth night, then gloss varnish for oil pin wash and then matt varnish ?
Cool vid and great model. One note though : please do not advise turpentine for this, the extra toxicity isn't worth it. Odorless mineral spirit like Gamsol is better. Proper solvent disposal should also be talked about.

Thank you for leaving a comment and watching
I've only used oil paints and enamels for weathering so I'm definitely curious to try it out on other parts of models.
Go for it ;)

Will there be a video for the terminators and rubrics?
Great video. I have a question though, did you varnish after airbrushing, before oil paints? And if so, matte or gloss?

@maybug_games8484 Thank you for the answer, that makes a lot of sense!

@@maybug_games Thank you so much!
Do you ultimately pin large models to their bases to prevent them from coming off?
It depends on several factors, but usually not. We use a lot of glue + activator and we frequently use apoxie sculpt for good touch points with the base

I hope this tutorial series will explain me in easy way (for dummies like me) how to use oils properly on minis.
I hope It will as well... Thank you for sharing a comment!
oil paints, and half of the video with airbrush. I'm sad and wait for 10k views and new video) thank you
I am sorry to dissapoint You... We try to keep Nicola enterteined... But we have in plans some zero airbrushing too
thnx great vid ..:)

Thank you. Imho on miniature painting the usage of solvents is very minor. Even if You paint full time job this is around 200ml per month.
Now I leave a Komentarz, and i Still remember to clean my Pedzel!
