✓ Hair was cleansed and rinsed with The Doux ONE LOVE Co-Wash
✓10 minute styling time. We applied MOUSSE DEF Texture Foam to the entire head of hair, then detangled, sectioned, and finger-styled, using a rake and twirl technique. MOUSSE DEF's even distribution and detangling power make it easy to work through the hair quickly, as opposed to thick puddings or gels.
✓15 minute hooded dryer time (you can also air dry or diffuse). This length & density typically takes 1-2 hours to air-dry completely.
✓NO crunch, NO flaking. You can use as much as you want without worrying about residue or flakes.

• MOUSSE DEF is a styler, detangler, & leave-in conditioner in one! It is formulated to be used alone. We recommend styling with MOUSSE DEF by itself on your first go-round. Most people find that they don't need a leave-in when using this product. MOUSSE DEF alone yields longer-lasting hold and definition. If you would like more conditioning, recommend applying a small amount of WE WANT EASY Texture Tamer before applying the mousse.
• MOUSSE DEF can be applied to damp or dry hair. The less wet the hair, the stronger the hold and definition.
• For best results, avoid applying oil before applying the Mousse. Product on the hair before applying the mousse may affect your results. If you prefer a softer, more moisturizing effect, MOUSSE DEF can be paired with C.R.E.A.M. Twist & Curl Cream or WE WANT EASY Texture Tamer.
• If you desire more shine, apply oil or shine serum (preferably a sprayable shine) AFTER the product has dried to ensure optimal definition. Applying oil or serum before applying MOUSSE DEF will prevent the product from setting on the hair properly.

Ok....I came across this channel a few days ago. I had been a curly natural for 7years, got sick came out the hospital and put a relaxer in my hair. Not gonna lie, it felt so good to be back 😁. A month passed I was stressed. I didn't want the relaxer anymore. Boom, then I saw my curls were different... like, POPPIN! I was supped up!LOL! I was able to do a wash and go with exactly 2 products! As my hair started growing out the curl pattern changed😔. So I cut the relaxer out😲idk what I was thinking. Now my hair doesn't take to any products quite the same. When I see reviews of your product especially in this wash and go, I see the young lady has curly hair but is it the product that defines her curls or your technique/shingling of each strand. I'm like 2mins and 8 sec from booking a flight from N.Y. to you just to get it right. P.S. went looking in target for your products to no avail, It's either shampoo no conditioner. No whole set whatsoever!!😭😭
Marie Payne you can find us online at thedoux.com 😉 You don’t have to define the curls strand-by strand, you should be able to apply it and do the sponge method or just use your fingers to “pinch” your curls into little clumps. Air dry and you’re good!

A lot of mainstream brands put alcohol in their mouse
Black natural stylist have been using mousse for set styles like twist, braids, rod sets etc since forever, it's always been recommend to use. It's just that alot of naturals have been busy trying out rice water and other foolishness instead of listening to professionals lol

I have a few bottles of the mousse even though I haven’t tried it yet! Love the other Doux products I have and they’ve worked wonderfully. Next time I wash my hair will be using Mousse Def solo and hoping my results are great.

Joy MK 1. Our IG feed is 🔥. Lots of video demos with tighter curls. 2. We’ve been using this and only this for the last 5 years in our salon on ALL hair “types”. Hair type doesn’t determine your results. TECHNIQUE does, along with your hair care habits and the way you approach hair hair based on what you know. 3. The 4c hair series on our channel is a great start if you’re not getting the best from your hair. 4. Getting hung up on 4abcdefg is the very reason most people don’t get what they want. If you like YOUR hair, and want the best from YOUR hair, you’re good! The videos and following the directions will deliver the guidance you need to get bomb definition, volume, and shine. However, if you want your hair to look like “her” hair, you will always struggle with being satisfied with anything that doesn’t alter your curl pattern completely. MOUSSE DEF is going to amplify the texture you have, but it won’t change your curls into something they’re not. I hope this helps. P.S. My answer isn’t directed exclusively to your comment, but I get “hair type” comments often, so forgive the lengthy response.

I use the cream Saturday for a wash and go but my curls didn't come out the same like if I used the mousse. But I will keep for my twist out
