The Doux has the best mousse hands down! She now has a Honey line which also has a mousse...works great as well! She also advises make sure to put it on the roots first real good then down the length of the hair to avoid puffy roots.
Is the honey one silicone free?

Part of the problem you’re experiencing with the product is that you need to shake the contents of the bottle. Doing this will give you thicker foam.
The Doux has the best mousse in the game! My twist outs turn out perfect and last for days when I use just the mousse!
So is it a soft hold or there is some crunch or hardness like with a gel ? It's hard to imagine a mousse giving continuous definition like that lol. But I see all the mousse curl definition videos on IG and it has me interested 🤣

@@HoneeyBee3 it's definitely a soft, yet defined hold. No crunch at all. I have a TWA, and my twist out with just the mousse can last 4 days without doing anything to it because fluffing it out.

I know what you mean with it not looking like your curl pattern. It’s because it clumps your hair rather than separate it if that makes sense. I prefer a separated curl, as it gives me more volume. Try the gel next and then the design essentials mousse 🤗

I've been using TGIN's mousse for my wash n go's for a while now. It's probably weird order, but I do leave in, oil, THEN mousse. My hair stays moisturized and holds without the crunch.
Are you high porosity?
@@EsiaAF Low porosity. I think that's why sealing the leave in with oil BEFORE adding the mousse works for me
I haven’t tried this mousse but I have low porosity hair and I also do this order because my hair feels more moisturized this way.
I am Low Porosity too . Did you apply to soaking wet hair or damp hair . Just curious.

I love hair mousse….at the moment, it’s the only product I use. Design essentials has a great mousse too.
So bomb! The doux was my favorite when I was a loose natural. It definitely helps to rake it through once you’ve applied the mousse to keep it from being so chunky.

I had the same reaction when I used black mousse companies for the first time. When I was younger I tried More “white” geared mousse and it did nothing so I assumed mousse was not for me lol

I use the honey gel for my wash and go's and the honey mousse for other styles and it's so good. It's my new go to, I stopped using wetline and it's a good replacement for me.

Put the pumps of product directly on the hair. Worked amazing for me. The only thing I don't like is how sticky the product can be.

Every time I use The Doux products, I get so many compliments on my hair! I was so used to having to layer on multiple products (water, leave in, oil, creme, gel) to achieve style and hold that I used to use Mousse Def with their gel Big Poppa but I finally decided to trust it and use 1 or the other and not BOFFUM! I never thought I'd get definition, moisture, AND hold all in 1 product. I love The Doux!!!
mousse is my new fav product! I use Camille Rose Spiked Honey and it gives great definition without any crunch. my hair comes out feeling pillow soft.

I was gonna say that the Doux left my hair sticky but I didn't know a leave-in was not required for this! I think when I used that leave in with the mouse my hair was instantly oversaturated with product. When I wash may hair again im gonna just try it alone and see what happens because these results are so nice

that mousse is my GO TO! I always get great results when i use it for my braid outs. It smells good and makes my hair feel so soft & moisturized too.

It’s amazing, just make sure you shake the bottle! I also sometimes blow dry after. But it’s nice to just use one product.

The Doux makes the best mousse and gel. The Mousse Def layered with Big Poppa gel makes my hair soft and defined for over a week.
I like The Doux a lot. Bonita Afro Balm reminds me of pink oil and I love that stuff for everything.
Might have to give this a try once my hair has been cut and shaped from my Pandemic Haircut (TM), lol. I usually use curl puddings, but I'm often left with hard-cast hair, so this could be a nice alternate option for days when I'm too lazy to blow dry and flat iron.
Have you tried shaking the bottle to make the product mousse up more?

Ok, I’m sold on trying this mousse. I swear by Miche Beauty’s Mousse and have the same issue with the dispensing- maybe they need to flare the bottom of the bottle🤷🏾♂️. OAN, I am totally with you about doing the back of my hair…🙄😫…why?

I use this with Uncle funkys. One pump Uncle funkys per section, followed by mousse def. The results are spectacular!

Next for a more defined curl try Uncle Funky's Daughter Curly Magic Curl Stimulator (Black owned brand), it works best on freshly washed wet hair and then diffuse after applying product.
I would love to see a video of you trying hairspray on your curls. I don’t see too many naturals do so, but it helps with frizz and has great hold. Curls last for days
It does not work for me the way they said it would 😭😭😭😭. Curly custard is my life saver but I am happy they have a product that works for the majority .

I only use this as a styler, but for a week of moisture, I have to use Kinky Curly Knot Today. It works so well with The Doux Mousse Def. Love it!

I miss Carol's Daughter old Hair Foam(disconnected), it was so light and defined my curls, and it was the best for any roller sets. This hair foam is too sticky for me and it collects a lot of lint. Am I the only one that noticed that?
I use it and love it. I’ve never had an issue with lint after using it.
