awesome show - I was at the Kitchener show in 1981 (2nd show on the tour) like it was yesterday - definitely a formative event for my 12 year old self (over 42 years ago - lol)
That sounded stupid. Tony wrote the songs with Ozzy. I think that means clearly Ozzy brought out the best in him. Tony by this point obviously should have the songs down to an art.
I was 16 ... my Hair long ... Sex, Drugs and Rock&Roll ... loved Motocycles ... the best times of my life ... remember well ... never forget .... RIP Ronny
Ozzy was a great front man, an entertainer, a show man but technically as a singer Ronnie absolutely eat him for breakfast any given day, and not only Ozzy, Ronnie was better than most heavy metal or hard rock singers.
You can't beat Ozzy...he's out of competition. There will never be another Ozzy. Whereas Dio is technically a great singer, and has to compete. I'm not of a fan of Dio, btw. He's kinda boring to me. I can enjoy a song or 2, though.
If only I knew how great this guy was when I seen him live... DIO was the best heavy metal singer bar none.. Who else can hold a candle to this guy singing? First time I saw him was at the Texas Jam in Dallas and the guy is only like maybe 5 ft tall LOL but man can he sing and put on a great show
This is Awesome! I saw this tour in Dallas completely focused on well but The Outlaws opened and Green Grass and High Tides forever! This was my Very Favorite Black Sabbath Tony just became my Guitar Hero from this and Sign of The Southern Cross Wow! I am so Glad You have posted this I Always wanted to see this again!
I'm an old Sabbath freak but also I've always loved the Dio era too. But after watching this Sabbath may have been at their best with RJD! Spectacular!!
Not really. It's better than the remaster on the new set, but the new remix discs they included is mindblowingly good! Sounds like a totally new album, check it out!!
I saw Black Sabbath with Van Halen as the opening act. It was awesome but truthfully Dio sounds much better than Ozzy did live. Wish I would have seen them with Dio.
Seen this show march 15 1982 live at the five cedar rapids ia best concert ive ever seen long live rock n roll RIP Ronnie James Dio the man on the silver mountain
I was at this show. Had standing room only downstairs to the side though so sound wasn’t as great as when I saw them the year before so this was a nice watch.
One word . EPIC. Ronnie ; clearly was tbe best singer for Sabbath. Ozzy just like Roth in VH was the better frontman but in terms of singing hagar was the better singer. 🤘
Very good comparison! I personally love Ozzy's personality over Dio's but think Dio is a better singer. I love everything about Hagar over Roth but yes Diamond Dave was a showman & great front man ... just too cocky to be that cool for me.
@@theinkspot67 Ozzy was definitely; a wild and entertaining singer . not taking away from him he's Sabbath but Ronnie dio just had ; that great singing voice ; that, only a few metal singers matched. Halford in his early priest days , Geoff Tate and Bruce Dickinson in his 1st maiden albums.
Stop talking nonsense - read their story a little bit. After Ozzy's departure it wasn't meant to be the same name of the band at all - Ronnie wasn't meant to fit Ozzy in any way. It's all because of the label that they continued with the same name, otherwise the band Black Sabbath was ending it's career around 1979...
BLACK SABBATH pra sempre! Rio de Janeiro-🇧🇷
I'm just so glad we've had the different incarnations of Sabbath. Ya gotta love those early albums with Ozzy, so many great songs but then what a surprise, Ronnie takes over & it just goes up another level. Only sorry that we have so few albums from the Dio eras. If you haven't read Dio's autobiography do yourself a favour & read it. Some fascinating info about his early days. Shame he didn't live to finish it himself.
Awesomeness! And yes, of course Dio is the better singer and Heaven & Hell probably the best Sabbath album, but still I prefer Ozzy singing ,,Black Sabbath", ,,War Pigs" and ,,Paranoid"
Saw this tour when they played with the Outlaws in SF. Love both bands, but it was a bad combo. All Sabbath fans. Some guy threw a beer bottle at the Outlaws and they stopped playing briefly, but then everything continued peacefully after that.
At 11:35 it's quite apparent, that the video doesn't sync up with audio. As I recall, part 1 was a camera shot from a different angle than this. What's up with that??
❤ do we dare say it? ... Dio even sings the Ozzy songs better than Ozzy... I've seen them both several times and I remember drunk and greedy Ozzy Osbourne having great stage presence and putting on an amazing show but Dio is 10 times the singer...WOW.. RIP rjd
They should never have done Ozzy material with Ronnie. Why the hell did they need to with the strength of H&H & MR!? I sure as hell didn't want to hear Ozzy stuff, heard it before plenty. They got it right when they did the final tourrs with Ronnie.
Ah, spoken word Black Sabbath songs on a dreary Sunday morning 😂😂 Dio was good at his own stuff (mostly) but here he doesn’t even try to to a great song justice.
Not smoke. Dry ice! It's extremely cold, that's what keeps it close to the floor. Usually when a band uses it, it's a welcome relief for those in the front rows because they get a nice cloud of ice cold 'smoke' washing over them. 😉
Dio works the stage to perfection. His on stage choreography is fantastic.
Black Sabbath’s Mob Rules Tour was my first Metal Show. San Diego Sports Arena April 9,1982. My livfe was changed forever🤘😎🤘

same here....14 years old on acid . Toronto Canada
Dec 11, 1981, spectrum in philly, same
I was there too! Amazing show!
Iommi's never played better. Dio brought out the best of him.
FUCK so True!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊

Pavarotti of heavy metal & his orchestra ...
I was 16 ... my Hair long ... Sex, Drugs and Rock&Roll ... loved Motocycles ... the best times of my life ... remember well ... never forget .... RIP Ronny
Ronnie knows how to sings these new versions of sabbath clasics very well done r.i.p.
Ozzy was a great front man, an entertainer, a show man but technically as a singer Ronnie absolutely eat him for breakfast any given day, and not only Ozzy, Ronnie was better than most heavy metal or hard rock singers.
Yes Ronnie was a better technical singer, but him singing Ozzy era songs sounds weird.
yes if u ever saw Dio a few times you would know that in no time .Dio.massive loss 2 us all
You can't beat Ozzy...he's out of competition. There will never be another Ozzy. Whereas Dio is technically a great singer, and has to compete. I'm not of a fan of Dio, btw. He's kinda boring to me. I can enjoy a song or 2, though.

This sounds better than live evil. They should have released this show on a live album.
I'm an old Sabbath freak but also I've always loved the Dio era too. But after watching this Sabbath may have been at their best with RJD! Spectacular!!
Cow Palace S.F. Outlaws opened. Fantastic concert thanks for posting.
You can't beat Sabbath with Dio singing.
The audio on this sounds better than the new 40th anniversary box set "Live Evil". Thanks!

@@CookieMonsterJams They confused the hell outta me which one was what. I'll check it out
Thanks much for uploading this! I was 16, in 1982!
As mentioned for Part 1 of this concept, I roadied this tour for one show in Bethlehem PA at Lehigh University in November 1981. Phenomenal show!
FINALLY ! Footage of this tour! I saw them on this tour with Dio at the Nassau Coliseum. What a great show!
I saw Black Sabbath with Van Halen as the opening act. It was awesome but truthfully Dio sounds much better than Ozzy did live. Wish I would have seen them with Dio.
Saw the same tour
I saw that tour in Cleveland🤘
Seen this show march 15 1982 live at the five cedar rapids ia best concert ive ever seen long live rock n roll

Idea of March lol
I missed out this Black Sabbath live with Ronnie James Dio :( but saw Dio-the band at Cow Palace San
Francisco a few years later :)
I was at this show. Had standing room only downstairs to the side though so sound wasn’t as great as when I saw them the year before so this was a nice watch.
Some of the footage is from the 1980 Heaven and Hell tour mixed with the 81-82 Mob Rules tour I saw both in Charlotte and Greensboro NC.
Vinnie Appice with his smaller drum kit is from the Heaven and Hell tour 1980 . Huge drum kit is from the Mob Rules tour 81-82 .
One word . EPIC. Ronnie ; clearly was tbe best singer for Sabbath. Ozzy just like Roth in VH was the better frontman but in terms of singing hagar was the better singer. 🤘
Ozzy was closer in talent to Ronnie than Ronnie believed....on the other hand Hagar smoked Roth;;; not even a comparison vocally.
Van hagar ballad band Dave definitely better front man. Ozzy biggest problem he's not creative and no way is he close to Ronnie.
Very good comparison! I personally love Ozzy's personality over Dio's but think Dio is a better singer. I love everything about Hagar over Roth but yes Diamond Dave was a showman & great front man ... just too cocky to be that cool for me.

This is a priceless gem! Thank you guy!
Dio what a fantstic singer Black Sabbath is great group I like them all their songs are so fantstic 💙😬😜🤪👊
I'd like to have this on dvd. Sensational show.
Could you imagine how bright that light is. It nearly blinds me on video
I remember how bright that light was.
Well, if the official video existed, that light in the song black sabbath would surely look more epic.
Dec 11, ‘81 in philly, the flame throwers gave me sunburn lol
Blackmore and Iommi receberão um presente dos Anjos do Metal..,,.Dio The Man of the Gold Voice...
The best Black Sabbath version.
This is outstanding.
Saw this tour L.A. Forum .... it was great
Could dio be one of the most underrated front men of all time? Just a great performer.

Nothing in the world is heavier than Black Sabbath, except possibly tungsten

They lit Mob Rules up at this show! F'n killer! Always has been one of my favorites from the Dio Sabbath days...
BLACK SABBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATH
MSG NYC. Saw Black and Blue

RIP Ronnie i found out you co wrote songs with my Friend David Stone when you were in the band RAINBOW. JohnInDaHouse
At 11:35 it's quite apparent, that the video doesn't sync up with audio. As I recall, part 1 was a camera shot from a different angle than this.
What's up with that??
Well, it's because it's from a different year, that shot is from 1981 and that's why it doesn't synchronize.

You've never got to see black sabbath but I didn't see dio I believe it was an 88 lock up the wolves One of the best shows
I saw this show in St.louis during my senior year in high school
Dio was the best singer for Sabbath, bar none.

I would have been satisfied with just the Dio era songs
Song #1 what's it called!? Monstrosity of a song especially at the end when the beat gets fast!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
is saying I enjoy Ronnie singing the Ozzy songs more sacrilegious ? lol
nope. Ronnie is light years better!

Wow Ronnie's War Pigs is AWESOME!
I take it back-everything he does here is awesome! Dio over Ozzy anyday!
Did all this smoke go down? Talking higher and higher?
Not smoke.
Dry ice! It's extremely cold, that's what keeps it close to the floor. Usually when a band uses it, it's a welcome relief for those in the front rows because they get a nice cloud of ice cold 'smoke' washing over them. 😉
Dio singing Ozzy is fkn painful to my ears.
The audio it’s not in synch with the video 👎🏻
If it is synchronized what happens is that some shots are from different years if you didn't know
