The precise reason as to why their newer material feels less brilliant, is because their Albums become better and better the further in time you go [which would mean that Ribbed is around their Prime, and also imply that S&M airlines is actually even better.] That also shows that Fat Mike is Weary of Hapiness!
Late to the party but definitely agree, after War on Errorism, the albums would just have maybe a few tracks that I’d replay, First Ditch Effort however was a fantastic record, imo the best one they put out since So Long And Thanks For All The Shoes, which I feel is still their magnum opus
Back when NOFX was still good and still put on a good show. I was a junior in high school in 1998. Though I was largely disappointed with their then-new album "So Long and Thanks for all the Shoes," I was a pretty huge fan at the time.
The 90s was the best, no phones, no photo blackmail material of every little detail, just do what you want and have a good time Loved it. Also, NOFX was wayyyy better. Better songs, beter performance.

You should catch them on this final tour. They act like the old band and playing 40 songs a night and multiple full albums. It’s a true good bye to the real fans. Best time I’ve seen them and I’ve seen them a lot
nouseforafap No doubt, they are all underrated players but Sandin is the anchor. Ribbed is my favorite record and if you listen to the drums on that album they are incredible.
yeah ... i'm pretty sure they up'd the tempo atleast by 30-40 beats per minute... just a rough guess.. but it definitely sounded faster than the original.
Extremely expensive tickets, huge well known bands (mostly rock, or pop), sold out in no time, a watered down beer for 3 euros ... Its not so small scaled anymore.
Well I was there (only edition I went to) only for NOFX, Deftones and Smashing Pumpkins. Other than that this edition wasn't really worth it to buy tickets for.
+sebbapalacio Sadly I dont. Ive looked into it and it seems like this is the only part they showed on TV and I cant the find the rest of the show anywhere.

Their older songs sound so good & amazing when played live
yeah true, they sound better live too... cuz there other recordings kinda sucked... and fat mike got better at singing.. kinda lol.
The precise reason as to why their newer material feels less brilliant, is because their Albums become better and better the further in time you go [which would mean that Ribbed is around their Prime, and also imply that S&M airlines is actually even better.] That also shows that Fat Mike is Weary of Hapiness!
I heard they DONT suck live.
Хэфе ваще красавец..такие коры мочит
NOFX 1993-2003 was awesome live, Mike voice, speed, very large setlist options...
Hot damn! That snare sound is tight! Perfect NOFX.
Heb nog steeds het cassette bandje van dit optreden, was toen te horen op vpro's mr. Lee's mysterious washing machine. Aaaah goeie ouwe tijd 😁🤘🔥
Those where the best years of nofx! So much energy and speed!
I come back for the comedy 😉
Are they slowly now?
Amazing. One of the best live performances ever!!
+CorwinVanAmber Yeah, its totally in the top along with the set they played on "I Heard They Suck Live" :)
except Malachi crunch because they were running like idiots 🤣
Its super fun🤣
1998... nofx in their prime! time passes by so quickly.... give my ketamine back
its 2016 and i still dress like el jefe.
skate shoes, black socks, dickies, black band shirt.....
and a bald head..cause im fucking 40 goddamnit. wtf
I dress like that on a regular basis, not including the bald head.
oh boy.
40.. wow. Forty. WOW. Oh man.
That 1k Life :
Hefe isn't wearing Dickies.
dickies shorts are my life
FOR ME ITS ALWAYS 1998
Holy shit they're so on point at this show. Smelly absolutely crushing it at the beginning of Bob at 4:50.
smelly is a badass drummer
BairyHalls so underrated, and by the way, he plays really hard brakes and seems totally effortless
He always looks like he's bored.
Yeah I’ve been drumming for 15 years and I’ve only recently been able to consistently play that fast punk beat.
Byron is another one who deserves massive credit
Damn right he is
Great performance! Especially Mikes vocals & smelly…that bloody BPM!
NOFX peaked right after this, in 1999 with The Decline. Fortunately they gave us so much brilliant music between 1991 and 1999.
I'd give em till War on Errorism at the latest
Wolves is a great album too though. I actually prefer it over War On Errorism. Anything after Wolves I just can’t listen to.
Late to the party but definitely agree, after War on Errorism, the albums would just have maybe a few tracks that I’d replay, First Ditch Effort however was a fantastic record, imo the best one they put out since So Long And Thanks For All The Shoes, which I feel is still their magnum opus
My favorite albums might be Heavy Petting Zoo / Decline. I consider Pump up the Valuum to be their last great record. Errorism was just okay.
Amazing performers. And also...1998, best year for Punk.
So many happy people in the audience, this is great :)
The Boss really can sing! Sounds great here.
The shows and the crowds during the 90's had a such a cool vibe. People really didn't give a fuck and had a great time.
Also, Germany.

90s NOFX was the best. Mike actually gave 2 shits and his voice wasnt utter trash
Linoleum sounds great on that show...
I love Mike's shirt
Dan I had that same shirt in the early mid 90s in high school. And 2 other descendents shirts.
How much?
Had one, too (2004). My mom used to said: Yup, that's you, never wanna grow up.
Melvin with a t-shirt? Wtf?!
Can't wait to see these guys next month. Will be surreal.
you know they suck live by now huh ?!...
When shoes were awesome
What a great set list! The malachi crunch sounds just fast and nice
Mike rocking the precision
This is class, they sound great when mike isn’t fucked up on drugs 🤣
Who would have guessed that it wasn't until much later in his career that Fat Mike would use drugs?
He said he didn’t start using drugs til he turned 30. So he’s like 31 here, he could be stoned out of his mind
@@galleryofrogues I doubt it because he doesn't look/seem stoned. But I believe he is a self-confessed alcoholic.
