@@demetriadavis7083yeah. This is why I stay in NYC. We have a bad rep., but we look out for each other. I don’t buy that he just ‘witnessed’ and got killed for it. The way it works in NYC, anybody over 30, particularly in the Bx, has seen or been the victim of something. We act without thinking as a type of PTSD response and we all have the habit of jumping in. I’m a 5’6 Hispanic female and I’ve done this w males twice my size when I have seen them hurting a kid or another female. Not because I have a death wish. But, because of PTSD. I was a South Bronx girl from about 8-14 and then went back to PR, coming back at 21. The city in the early 2000s was incredibly safe till it got crazy again after COVID. But, at 22, I was the victim of a crime and then became just another ‘fight or flight’ type of Newyorker. If he was known and loved by the neighborhood, there’s probably a reason why.
I’m 46 now and I know who the ‘known’ characters are. They’re usually folks that know the streets, but keep harm from them at the same time. I now live in ENY and it’s way quieter than folks think. Way safer than where I grew up on Fort Apache of the Bx.

If the police are still searching for this suspect and seriously need help in this, why doesn't the reporter divulge what color skin he is? The reporter mentions that his clothes were all black and his shoes were red crocks but this doesn't help much since these worn apparel can be easily changed. The skin color of the suspect could be white, black, brown, yellow, etc. which could not be easily changed unlike his clothes and shoes. I'm sure there were several witnesses who were there who could easily identify the color of the suspects skin.

It's just weird cause the kid payed the lady $ 200 in cash and she still called her boyfriend which her boyfriend broke the kid phone and took the money ND on top the guys in the scooter was helping the kid cause they was pickin on him. Just all crazy.
I never hang out in the streets anywhere anymore. I don't go to sport events, parades, outdoor parties or celebrations, city events, demonstrations and I avoid crowded places in general.
I always feel outrage hearing about someone leaving another country for a better life only to be murdered in the US.
