@@KahL646 how sweet of you to ask. She’s doing super well. Recovered from it so fast, my biggest challenge was keeping her from jumping and playing too hard with her sister. She’s in the middle of hydrotherapy, so we’re almost at the end. It so nice to see her walking and running on all four legs. Doc did a great job!
@@vjonas397 thats great to hear! I also have a chi who has a bad leg and have been so on the fence, so its nice to hear of success. She's a bundle of energy running and jumping off everything so im sure we will have the same troubles! Thanks for replying !
Thank you for sharing your journey , my cavapoo has luxating patella and we’ll go to orthopedic vet to see what does he needs. He Tommy already has LP on the left back leg now is the right after a yorkie attacked him and hurt his leg after yorkie jump on Tommy for no reason☹️
Thanks for the video , It seems my dog might need Patellar luxation surgery as well , My question is that do I need to a dog wheelchair for a few days or so after surgery ?
That's a great question... I would ask your vet, but my initial thought is "no". I believe you will want to manage your dog's pain properly so that your dog can start using his/her legs in a balanced way as soon as possible. My fear with a wheelchair would be that your dog would rely on it and be in fear placing body weight on the healing leg.

My dog got this surgery 3 weeks ago and she's still not using the leg. Is this normal? How long does it usually take for them to use the leg?
