If I am honest I haven't got a clue anymore, it's been that long since I did the job sorry, best bet is to look on one of the Volvo.S40 pages on Facebook I think.
Quick question I think your right they should of put a helo in they have the outer lens for it. What I need to know when you switch the volvo on the main light comes on.so in order for the helo can I take it of the main feed to that main light so I can just have the helo showing as I only bought the car not so long ago. And could you tell me what wire it is so I can do that please.
I used the sidelight feed for the halos so I can just put it onto the side light and it would have the halo on. Other wise it gets lost by the main headlight. I can't remember which wire it is but it's the little sidelight wires you want to use.
Yeah I still have it, with the dip beam on they aren't very noticeable, but I do have HIDs in too. I need to put new ones in too cos these ones failed.
@@stevie-green next time I'm going just white, I had some problems with the switch backs on these ones plus they ain't even a year old and they need replacing which is a bit crap
Hello again mate , quick question , I'm fitting 60mm halo switchbacks in the indicator ring lense , wondering which colour wire off the indicator I need to tap into
@@stevie-green sorry I never replied, it never popped up, if Im honest I can't remember off the top of my head, I think I mentioned it in the video but not sure which one is was tbh.
To be honest the halos make no difference to visability, you can't see ghem with head lights on, that might be because I have HIDs in though. They look mint in the dark on their own though.
@@ThePhilBilly when you wire them the way you did are you able to switch between having night headlights on and just your halos? I’m new to volvo ownership lol
@@jensenlanglois9817 I just wired mine into the side light wiring loom of I'm honest, with my Volvo it runs the side lights all the time as soon as the ignition is on. To be honest I need to get new halos now cos these ones have failed. I might go with a different colour this time so they stand out
@@ThePhilBilly I just installed mine yesterday, but sadly one died after 10 minutes. I got a 2005 with the Bi Xenon Headlights, 77mm ID on ring fit accurately

The front lip is just a universal stick on splitter. The cheap type you can get on eBay or Amazon for like few quid. I want some more because I want to do my skirts with it too.
Good work mate 👍🏻
Thanks matey.
Looks absolutely great, what size did you order please so many version tia

Thanks, they do suit them. Volvo should of had them as standard I think.
@@ThePhilBilly Yeah compeltely agree. Just bought ones for my c30. They completely change the look of the front
Have you still got this car ? I'm wondering what they look like with your dipped beam on

I think the 2008 will be the facelift, if I remember rightly the will be 85mm but double check first.
