There is two bolts at the back to adjust the blade 90 and 45 . One on the left and one on the right . Need a smaller Alan key mate oh and a spanner
Really helpful, instructional video. Thanks for putting the effort into making this user-friendly for beginners!
Its a decent saw for the money to be fair. I just got one (spark by trade) and it happily cuts Metal Tray/ trunking and conduit with ease.
Really useful saw to have for jobs round the house also and only £60
Great review just subscribed 👍
Nice one, cheers man 👌
Setup the machine, there are various adjustments to do this fully!!
Really useful, thank you so much for putting the time in
Good video just bought one and looked at utube and seen your video.
Brilliant review, really helpful for those new to mitre saws! thank you very much
Excellent explanation
Thank you
On the 45 degree mitre , the saw blade is not perpendicular and needs to be adjusted. It is not adjusted at the factory and is left to the end user to do. Perhaps you would be kind enough to give us a user guide on how to set up the Evolution R210. Bearing in mind that the target audience for the saw is probably hobbyists, photographers, artists and weekend carpenters. Who could use all the help they can get. Which is why we come to experts like your good self. Thank you Justin and please keep up the good work.
@yoochoooob Thanks for the info: That's much better. But I feel Justin should make a contribution. It's not that he's given us wrong information. It's just that he hasn't given us the right information. So if he wants to maintain credibility he should make amends and give us the full correct information. Otherwise what's the point if having a YT channel where you're giving information that people cannot trust.
Photographers?
Very helpful thank you!!
Adjustment of the angle, is via the two stop screws at the back of the machine
Thanks Justin, that was very helpful 👍
If you look at left and right sides of the blade you will see the stop adjusters set it up for 90 and 45 this saw will cut bang on cuts look before you slate this saw its not hard come on
great video thank you very much
You needed to set it up ans fine tune using the adjustable Allen key screws.
Great video mate, straight to the point. Thanks
Iv had this saw for years the only thing I hated on it was the noise levels it seemed alot louder than others iv used.
So can the fence and the angle of the saw be adjusted with allen key screws like other miter saws?
yes it can, i had to do this too
Did you check that the fence was set correctly before trying the 45 degree cuts?
I'm not sure I would recommend this to anyone for a first mitre saw. I find the stops to adjust the angle have loads of play in them and I'm constantly having to get the square on it to check before each cut and if you're a beginner, you just don't want tool inaccuracy on top of your own newbie mistakes. I cut straight through the fence on the first bevel cut, because I'm a novice plum. It is powerful enough, but I find there is a substantial amount of tear out on the bottom and the rear. I think this is probably best for a jobsite saw, cutting pipe and trunking.
Excellent, comprehensive review. Thanks!
Thanks for good review
Can it fit on tressels
Adjust the bloody fence 😂😂
hi there i recently got mine, can you tell me if the lower and upper guard is supposed to have a wobble? mine wobbles quite a bit and not tried my saw incase unsafe.
Piece of 3x2 under clamp less wind down work with what you got !!
How do you rectify the 45' angles? The 90' is fine. ( I don't need the bevel). Many thanks.
Like a knife through hot butter 😂 😂😂
You forgot the extending stabiliser at the back. Also metal sparks into a canvas bag with sawdust?
exactly do not put the bag on back if working on metal, great point
Not me watching 1:46 over and over again trying to understand how to lift the saw up. I don’t know if I’m insanely weak or what but I can’t turn or pull the knob you turned….
Edit: got there in the end! At around 2:20 - thank you! 🤦🏻♀️
Thanks 😊
Great video Justin. Does the blade rotate smoothly by hand? Mine feels a bit rough but maybe it's the brushes rubbing against the windings. It's brand new and cuts fine but I thought it would spin smoothly by hand.
Guess what the allen keys are for...
Hi Justin, I enjoyed the video a lot - very informative, and made sense of the multi-language instruction booklet. Would you think a standard Black & Decker Workmate would be stable enough to screw the 210CMS onto to use for outdoor (larger) work? I'm asking because the Evolution stands cost almost twice as much as the saws!
Just bought one just set it up with the evolution stand its totally solid stability wise. Its my 1st saw so dont know any different. I'm looking to do skirting boards and architraves I'll see how it goes
Solo-repair9 how did you get on? I’m thinking of buying for skirting
Combination squares are not the most accurate anyway. Should’ve checked with your speed square
Ive bought one, yet to use it. Ive heard there are isues with cutting steel angle. Any input?
I've had no issues with it, as long as the piece is securely clamped 😁
Why didn’t you show how to adjust the various angles,it’s not difficult..
Do you have to build it first before you use it.
No it should be all ready to go
can this use for tile cutting?
No, the blade could handle it but the tile would shatter
just in case anyone has the same issues with true angels the link i posted shows the fine tuning the male shows straight out of the box, this product cant be used straight out of the box until you follow the video link ua-cam.com/video/-3FSLNnj8tk/v-deo.html
mine doesnt cut correctly the angles too. i was well pissed off as ide started to make pitcure frames for making a bit of extra cash and gifts fro crimbo. kind of defeats the object of it being a mitre saw. you would have thought thae mech for angles was more refined in the design process. shame on evo for releasing it without thourough testing
You need to watch this video to set up the saw: ua-cam.com/video/nW2IKqYLxo0/v-deo.html
Don’t buy this spend a little more, I put it through it’s paces on project and it sucks now compared to how it was out the box. It’s cheap and inconsistent
